Partner Function Disappears on Save

Hi,
I have a custom relationship linked to a custom partner function.
Whne I create a Partner function, this relationships is created.
There are no time constraints on this relationship and a Sold-to Party can only have one of these relationships.
I have changed to config to give this relationship a time constraint of no gaps, no overlapping and th Sold-to Party can still only have one relationship of this type.
However, when I now go into Sales Area Data and create a new partner function, the relationship is then created in BUT050 when I save but the partner function entry I just made disappears.
Has anyone come across this problem before and know what is causing this?
Thank you
David

It is possible to have several GS or PI partner in the vendor master.
it is possible to maintain serveral GS and PI partners in a contract.
Note 459350 - FAQ: Partner determination in purchasing:
In the vendor master, several entries are maintained for one partner function. If none of these entries is flagged as 'default', none of these partners is copied to the document during the purchase order generation via transaction ME59.
However, if you create a purchase order using Transaction ME21 or ME21N, a dialog box for the selection of a partner is generated.

  • IC WebClient - Emp. Resp partner function disappearing

    Hi forum,
We are implementing ICWC (CRM 5.0) and have configured ERMS rule modeler for dispatching service tickets to the responsible Org. unit. When the service ticket is created the partner functions viz., Sold-to party, Emp. Resp and Resp.Grp are visible and have values. But when the service ticket is classified and click on the "Escalate" button the partner function Emp. Resp disappears and the system asks for entering the Emp. Resp partner function. The partner det. proc is assigned to the tr. type used for service ticket.
Please help to solve this error.

    Hi,
I could solve the problem. The partner function disappearing is fine. When any agent accepting the ticket needs to click on the "reserve" button in his inbox and that particular agent will become the Emp. Resp.

  • Partner function disappears..

    Hi Seniors,
On contract creation, for a specific vendor, the "GS" partners existing on the vendor master record not appear on the contract document.
Client has maintained 1 VN role, 2 PI role and 2 GS role. Can we maintain several GS or PI for a single vendor ?? then which one the contract will prefer?? client hasnt checked default parameter also.
Client is expecting that whatever partner roles are maintained in vendor master record, it should appear in contract also. but in contract it is showing 1 VN role and 1 PI role and 1 GS role. it is not showing another PI and GS. why it is so????

  • Sending E-mail by Partner Function when i save an Activity in the IC WC

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to send an E-mail to a specific Activity Partner defined in the BP Partner Functions associated with the transaction type after the activity is saved
    in the Interaction Center WinClient.
For this, I am using actions profiles and conditions. I have checked that I can send E-mails, but only when I directly specify the E-mail address of the person I want to send the E-mail to in the Action Conditions. However, as I mentioned before, what I need is to automatically determine the BP’s E-Mail address from the Business Partner Function (Activity Partner) in the transaction (in this case I am using a contact transaction type) in order to send the E-mail.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

    Hi Pratik,
I'm facing a similar issue than Alberto, but I' ve already performed the customizing you indicated.
Also, we have maintained as Processing types, a standard "Smart Forms Mail", with the following Mail Settings:
    - Form Name                   CRM_ACTIVITY_BUSACT01
    - Processing Class            CL_DOC_PROCESSING_CRM_ORDER
    - Processing Method           Z_CRM_ACTIVITY_EXEC_SMART_FORM
    - Archive Mode                    Mail Only
Also in the "Define Conditions" customizing, in the "Processing Details" we added "External Communication" and "Smart Forms Email" as Assigned Processings:
    - External Communication
       - Communication Method - INT Internet Mail
       - Form Name - CRM_REMINDER_MAIL_01
       - Form Type - Smart Forms
       - Format - CRM_ACTIVITY_EXEC_SF
       - Storage Mode - Send Only
    - Email Smart Form (default)
       - Forms Name- CRM_ACTIVITY_BUSACT01
       - Proc Class. - CL_DOC_PROCESSING_CRM_ORDER
       - Proc Method   Z_CRM_ACTIVITY_EXEC_SMART_FORM
Finally, we assured that the employee email communication data was maintained on the Master Data (trx. BP).
However, although we can receive and send emails to the outside (i.e. SCOT /SMTP are fully customized) I'm not able to send a Email from the business activity to the Employee external email address.
    Can you help us?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Create commisson agent partner function

    Hi,
I have ascenario where in we need to have a commisson agent partner function in the sales order.
The agent shall be paid a fixed quantity per UOM of the finished product. This necessarily should be copied to the delivery and billing documents. The cond type that shall be maintained for this commission should be statistical and should not post an accounting entry in the billing document.
Client wants to carry out all related activities manually and wants an report with all related details. Depending on the billed quantity the agent shall be paid through a credit note after realisation of money from the payer.
Understand from my FI counterpart if an FI credit note has to be raised

    Hi,
You can create a partner function as Commission Agent and assign it to your sales order partner function and carry out your transaction and post the commission amount after the receipt of the payment.
You can go through as follows.
    SPRO>Sales & Distribution>Basic Functions>Partner Determination>Set up Partner Determination>Set up Partner Determination for Sales Document Header>Partner Function>Select SP>Copy>Name it as ZC>Save it.
Now Click on Account Group-Function Assignment>New Entries>Partner Function "ZC" and Account Group-say your account group 1000> save it.
Now Click on Partner Determination Procedures>select TA and click on partner Functions in Procedure>New Entries>Partner Determination Procedures as TA and Partner Function as ZC>Save it
Now Click on Partner Determination Procedure Assignment>Select your Sales Order Type say OR and assign TA here and Save it
Now you also need to have a master of Commission Agents so, Create a separate Account group for it say ZCOM-Commission Agent>SPRO>Financial Accounting>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Customer Accounts>Master Data>preparations for Creating Customer Master DAta>Define Account Groups with screen layout>New Entries>ZCOM>Save it.
Now Number Ranges for your commission agent>SPRO>Financial Accounting>Accounts receivable and accounts payable>Customer Accounts>Master Data>preparations for Creating Customer Master Data>Create Number ranges for Customer Accounts>Click on Change intervals>insert interval>ZC>SAVE it
Assign number ranges to your account group ZCOM and ZC number range.
Now for having a separate master data for your commission agent you need to also separately set up a Partner Determination Procedure for it.
Same procedure for setting this also>spro>Sales & Distribution>Basic Functions>Set up Partner Determination>Setup Partner Determination procedure for Customer Master
    Select Partner Functions>new Entries>partner function as ZC-partner type-KU>Save it
Now click on Accounts Group-Function Assignment>New Entries>Partner Function-ZC and Account group ZCOM>SAve it
Now click on Partner Determination Procedures>New Entries>Say ZC Commission Agent>Save it
Now Select your partner Determination Procedure ZC and Click on Partner Functions in Procedures>New Entries-ZC-ZC>Save it
Now Click on  Partner Determination Procedure Assginment>New Entries>Group-ZCOM-partner procedure-ZC>SAve it
Now create your Commission Agent>XD01>Create your commission Agents with only one partner function i.e ZC and save it
whenever you create sales order you need to manually select the ZC partner function in your sales order header and complete your sales oprocess. On completion of the sales activity i.e receipt of payment your can issue a credit note using SD functionality also.
I have done it while answering this query, try this out and let me know if you have any queries.
    regards,

  • Mandatory partner function at sales order item level

    Hi all,
I'm customizing partner schema at item level for sales order. I have created a custom partner function, I put it in a new sales order item partner procedure and i set this partner function as mandatory (I want that system show me a message if this function is missing at item level in sales order). This partner function is defined only at sales order item level (not at header level or customer master).
If i create and save a sales order with an item type that use the item partner procedure I have created, system don't show me any message for the item custom partner function missing, else if it is set as mandatory in sales order item partner procedure.
I have read some posts in these forums about this functionality, but it seems a different situation.
Someone had a similar type of problem?
Thank you in advance for any possible suggestion.
    Regards
    Gianpaolo

    Hi,
First you have to create a new partner function.
Then assign that partner function to the account group.
Then assign that partner function to partner determination procedure for the item category.
Over here click on the mandatory button also.
Then assign that partner determination procedure to item category.
Then to XD02 and give your customer number and in the partner tab maintain the data for that partner function.
Now go to VA01 and create your sales order you will see you partner function.
If you wont have maintained it in the customer master then it will prompt an error.
    Regards
    Raj.

  • Partner functions for a specific customer not seen in XD03 but appears in XD02

    Hello SAP Gurus,
I have a situation where a partner functions for a specific customer not seen in XD03 but appears in XD02, In XD03 only one partner function (Ship to) appears but in XD02 (Sold to, Ship to, Bill to and payer appears), from the customer master I can see that account group for this customer has been changes to Sold to (Z001) from Ship to (Z002).
I checked in settings for OB20 transaction for display customer centrally, it is in Display mode as required and not suprresed would like your inputs as to why this is happening and what can be done to fix this.
    Thanks and Regards
    Mohammed Roshan

  • Partner functions in Customer master

    Hi,
Can we maintain partner functions with out maitain customer sales area data, we need to maintain only general and company code data.
Business scenario - 1. We have some certain customers like carrying only address purposses we dont need maintain company code and sales area, so is sytem creates partner functions once save this type of customers.
    2. same as said in point one some customers need general and company code data, dont need sales area, can system creates partner functions for this.
    regards
    Satish

    Hi Satish C,
As already expressed by all other friends,
    Just would like to add,
SAP has given 3 levels to maintain cusotmer relevant data ( General , Company Code & Sales area) & you are already aware of the same.
But each level has its own importance & it can be based on how you would like to use the respective partners in specific transactions.
    for eg:
in Billing- Bill to / Payer is required to have Company Code data & Ship to doesnt need to have Company Code data.
In FI transactions- Customer doesnt need to have Sales area data.
similarly, it all depends on how you want to use.
NOte: if any partners using in Sales documents, should have General & Sales area data is mandatory. Company data is in billing.
Just to maintain the address, if its ok with your client, you can go for different partner function ( if required in sales transactions) & add in sales area data.

  • Partner Functions in Procedure - CRM 2007

We have an issue where a "Partner Function is determined on a 'Plan Header' ".
We need to populate the Ex. Interaction Centre (CRM) function, which 95 times out of 100, works fine.
the majority of plans that are created, this will read the Org Unit from the user creating the plan to populate this data.
basically we have interfaces creating plans with references to Quotes, using the Standard PIAPPLUSER, and as no Org Unit is assigned to this service user, we are able to add our own Org Unit to the ICENTER function.
however, if there are any errors during this processing, and we need to reprocess, it reads the Org Unit of the person processing the data, and not the code i am passing into CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN....
we have looked at the settings:
        Determination Time in Partner Determination
Specifies at what point in a transaction the system determines business
            partners for that transaction.
o   Recurring partner determination starts as soon as you begin creating
a transaction document and reoccurs as you process the transaction,
until the system has found partners for all partners functions to
which you assigned recurring partner determination.
o   Determination during product entry occurs when you make entries at
item level. If you want to carry out partner determination based on
particular products or services, use this option.
o   Determination when saving occurs when you save the transaction for
                the first time.
                -   For example, you could be use this option to determine partners
based on the total value of the transaction.
ideally, we would like the determination to only occur if there is not an OU present for the ICENTER partner function.
    does anyone have any ideas?

could not change this programmatically due to the configuration.  no longer required.

  • Multiple bill to partner function in sales order

How can a partner function be setup that it can appear more than once in a sales order ?
Need to make a sales orders with more than one "bill to partner".  When I add the same partner function with another customer in the header of the sales order I get error message VPD012  :  "partner function ZX can only occur 1 times in procedure ZEXP (sales document header) .
I searched OSS,  and debugged for a while to try to find where that "1" is coming from.
In function SD_PCHECK_PARVW_COUNT_OK,  a counter is set to "1" based on the field TPAER-PAREI (line 86).  Allthough the flag "unique" is not set in partner function ZX, I get this error.
Some further in the function, there is the comment :
102     *     currently uniqueness of a partner is mandatory in sales docs, so
103     *     if no CAS-Doc, partner has to be unique if not AA or AW
Perhaps, in sales orders it is not at all possible to use multiple partners with the same partner function in sales orders ?
Anyone having experience with this ?
    Thanks,

    Hi Dries,
Even after you created your order you can maintain different bill to party.
    Go to VA02 screen
    Enter your order number.Enter.
    Goto item details Partners tab:
Now all the details are in editable mode.enter your bill to party.Make sure your bill to party is in same sales area and company code as of sold to party. After entering the taxes will be redetermined message will come.
    Enter.
    Save.
Now You do the same for all other items.
    Regards,
    Mohan.

  • Partner function copied from PO to Outb.del. but output message not created

    Hello Gurus,
As the copy of the partner function from the PO to the Outbound Delivery is not supported in standard, I have activated userexit_save_document_prepare (MV50AFZ1) where I can add the other partner roles out of the purchase order into table XVBPA (VN). Thanks to this exit, the partner function VN is correctly added in the Outbound Delivery.
My issue is the following this partner function should create an output message using the partner function VN but this one is not created during the Outbound delivery creation. But if I go to the VL02N and just save the Outbound delivery again (without change) now the output is correctly created and processed.
Does someone of you know the reason why the output message for partner VN is not triggered at the Delivery Creation but
    after the manual save?
    Kind regards
    Chris

I have just explained this in Copy partner from PO to inbound delivery

  • Partner function SP determine in the sales order

    Dear SD Gurus,
I want to determine the partner function SP in the sales order, when not entered anyvalue, the sales should give incopleteness check.
But what the client here wants is that, sometimes the client wont enter any value on the sales order,so he will deleted the automatcally determined part function on the partner tab of the sales order header.
Here the partner function should be not mandatory (because when the client wants to deleted the line ofn the header tab, system doesnt allow to do it). Also the partner function should not be not modifiable, because he may want to change it when sth wrong has been entered.
So to automatically determined the partner function on the sales order, either modifiable or mandatory should be selected as I know. But when both are selected, this is not a good way for usage.
Do you have any suggeston to make this partner functon automatically determine on the sales order and when wanted, deleted?
    Thanks
    Jack

    Hi,
Try this way and see whether it's what is require by the customer.
First of all what is this Partner function your talking about?
Can you maintain this Partner function for each customer? If possible you can try this method.
    Go to below IMG path:
Sales and Distribution / Basic Functions / Partner Determination / Set Up Partner Determination / Set Up Partner Determination for Customer Master
Then highlight the "Partner Determination Procedure"
Double click on "Partner Functions in Procedure" node
If you haven't maintained your partner function there, add it
Set it Mandatory if you want it to be set mandatory for each customer.
    Save
Then go to below IMG path:
Sales and Distribution / Basic Functions / Partner Determination / Set Up Partner Determination / Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Header
Highlight the relevant Partner Determination Procedure for Order Header
Double click on "Partner Functions in Procedure" node
Add If you haven't maintained your partner function there, add it
Don't Mark it as mandatory or not modifiable
    Save
Now go to you customer master from XD02 transaction.
System will ask you to add new partner function as it is Mandatory.
Now create a Sales order from that customer.
System will automatically copy that Partner function to you Order Header.
If user wants to delete it, he can delete it from there.
If user want to change it, he can change it from there.
    Hope this helps !
    Best regards,
    Anupa
