Parts exchange

For a bom A, I have multiple child components B,C,D.All plannned orders and purachase orders are transffered from APO to R/3.Then I done parts exchange in Purchase order for a child component B to E in R/3.Then  what will happens in APO. Again I have to delete the component B In APO.What are all the results. Can anyone expalin me in detail.

You need to test out. I can not say what will happen in case of Purchase Order. Gut feel since component E is not in active integration model, the PO when transferred back from R/3 to APO will drop component B in APO.
But more importantly component E will not be there in APO.
At least that would be the case for Production Order.
However if you re-explode the Production Order in APO it will pick up component B (since it is there in the APO PPM/PDS) and get transferred back to R/3.
Purchase Order components can not be changed in APO.
Thanks,
Somnath

  • I have an Imac G5 but I'm going travelling, can I part-exchange for laptop?

Hi, I've been using my Imac G5 for over 2 years now but I've recently decided to go travelling for 8 months and I'd like to purchase a mac laptop of similar spec so I can use it on my travels, I'd like to use Final Cut and most graphics software i.e. Photosop, After Effects and Maybe Motion?
Because the G5 will just be sitting there whilst I'm gone, it makes sense to part-exchange it to save some money, is this possible? What sort of deals will I be looking at?
    Thanks,
    Alex

Exchange it with whom? Apple doesn't offer this type of program so you would have to check with companies that do this type of thing. I don't know of any but I am sure if you check on Google you can find some companies that buy used Macs or take trade ins.
IMHO, You probably would have better luck just selling it on eBay and buying the laptop of your choice.

  • Does Apple in the UK Part-Exchange

Does anyone know if Apple part exchange in the UK ?
I got a 13 month old G5 Imac but want to try out the G5 Power Mac.

You should have no problems with a repair if it's a wireless or GSM model. Apple includes the caveat since not all model may be serviceable in all countries. The UK Apple Stores are unlikely to have replacement units for the Verizon CDMA model, for instance.
It would be best, though, if you can have your mom or someone else check out the iPad before she ships it to you and can address any problems before the iPad is sent to you.

Apple stores don't do part exchanges. You could check to see if your carrier has any upgrade offers, or see if a different store will do a part-exchange.

  • Powerbook Exchange/Tade-In

    Hi.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but:
Once the cross-over for the MacBook Pro has smoothened out (i.e. with software universal binaries for the software that I use, etc), maybe in anything up to 6 months time, I would like to upgrade to one from my Powerbook.
Does anybody know if Apple do a part-exchange programme (UK), where I could exchange my Powerbook, with maybe a few hundred pounds, and get a MacBook Pro in return?
It would be great if this was possible, since there is so much risk selling goods like these on, for example, eBay and the like.
    I'd appreciate any replies,
    Thanks.
    G4 1.67GHz, 2GB (PC2-4200), 120GB (5400RPM), 17" (Hi-Res)

Apple UK doesn't have such a program in place, I'm afraid. One-time offers do come up once in a blue moon, usually when they're having problems clearing their stock or as a promotion for a new product to kick-start sales. The machines accepted are usually limited to a few models as well, with many terms and conditions associated with the exchange.
Your best bet would be either auction sites like eBay or sometimes Apple resellers run recycling programs - they tend not to fetch you very much though.

  • How do I upload homemade videos from iPhone 3gs to windows laptop?

    Hey Everyone,
I have been happily using my iphone 3GS for two years now and am just about to upgrade to the 4GS.  I am transferring my data from my old phone to my windows laptop (fairly old generic model) so that I can restore the 3GS to factory settings before I part-exchange it for the new 4GS.
I have managed to sync my purchased music to my iTunes library on my laptop.  I have managed to upload my photos from the Photostream on the 3GS to my Picasa account on my laptop.  What I seem completely incapable of doing is uploading some 20-25 short (1-9mins max) homemade videos taken on my 3GS to my laptop.  I have trying copying and pasting from the 3GS as it appears as a hard drive device on my laptop into a new folder, but it doesn't work.  I have tryed to upload them via iTunes to no avail.
    PLEASE HELP ME!!!
The only option I can think of is to email myself individually from my 3GS all of the videos one by one, and then save them when I open my email account on my laptop.  This seems long, laborious and surely unnecessary....I can't believe there isn't an easier way and I'm just missing it!!
I have no wifi at home and am using my 3GS as a modem connected to my laptop to attempt all of this.  I live in Spain and am using the company Movistar on a 500MB monthly plan.  I think I am using iOS 4....but it could be iOS 4. (point) something.....I have not been able to upgrade to iOS5 due to lack of wifi connection as the update takes over an hour.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Coz

  • Material exchane ,copy pricing and conditions from main item to sub item.

    Hi All,
We are using parts exchange/interchangeability in the transaction ME22N,
While using ME22N we are exchanging  main item with interchangeable part and while doing so we want to copy pricing and conditions from main item to sub item.
    But its not happening.
As per sap help its possible, details describe below.
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/c2/0a5288b77d11d3bcce00105ab03aee/content.htm
Price Determination by Copying from Main Item
In the case of price determination by copying from the main item, the net price of the originally ordered part is still used for the superseding part in a part exchange.
The system copies all conditions from the main item to all sub-items and takes into account the order quantity for the main item when calculating scale prices. It does not take into account the conditions and scale prices that exist for the interchangeable part.
You cannot change the conditions, which have been copied from the main item, at sub-item level. It is possible, however, to define additional conditions for each sub-item.
    Prerequisites
A calculation schema, which can be altered on an individual basis in Customizing, has been supplied for the price determination.
In the vendor master record, you have set the schema group 09 (interchangeable material).
But in customizing I didnu2019t find value 09 for schema group .
Can any buddy through some light on missing pieces which need to be set?
    Thanks

    - In this exit, does XVBPA and XVBAP contains all the line items. ( main and sub items ).
    - In Sales order creation time, do these table have VBELN populated when this exit triggers.

  • How to choose the right Mac Pro Specs?

    Hello all,
Below is a question I posted in May along with someone's response. I'm wondering if I should still go with the response I received considering the new release of the mac pro 12 core. Did anything change that I need to note in my purchase or is the below response suitable? THANKS!!!!!
    my question:
I need some help in choosing the right specs for my mac pro. I am looking for a computer that will help me in running my small business and keep my art portfolio organized. I'll probably be running several programs at a time (ex. mozilla, itunes, adobe bridge, dreamweaver, illustrator, and photoshop). More specifics below
What i'll be using it for:
    building a few websites
    managing my small business
    large photo file editing
keeping business files, artist receipts, etc
cataloging my art portfolio (large photo files)
storing photos, music, and short videos
    graphic design
    infrequent film editing
    infrequent sound editing
    what programs i'll be using:
CS5 (mostly photoshop, illustrator, bridge, dreamweaver)
    iphoto
    itunes
    maybe minimal finalcut/soundtrack pro
    maybe minimal aftereffects
    Advice?
My concerns are that it needs to run pretty smoothly with multiple programs open, no overheating, plenty of space for file storage and application support.
    Hello washleyill,
My advice would be to buy the standard configuration 2.66GHz Quad Core (i.e. 3 x 1GB RAM, 640GB hard drive) from the Apple store, with the exception of the graphics card which you can buy as a CTO option for $200.00. It is well worth the upgrade from the GT120 - I know, because I upgraded myself last November after using a GT120 for 4 months.
With regard to the memory, if you can afford it now, buy 4 x 4GB from OWC now. If not, I would suggest that you buy 2 x 4GB now, and then add another 2 x 4GB in the future. 16GB of RAM is a much better option than 8GB for your requirements. You can sell the 3 x 1GB RAM to OWC in "part exchange", and there would be little difference in price for 2 x 4GB to the CTO option of 4 x 2GB.
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Mac-Pro-Memory#1066-memory
Instead of buying 2 x 1TB hard drives as a CTO option, you could purchase 2 x 1.5TB or 2 x 2TB HDDs for less money, and you would still have the 640GB. Spare drives are always useful. I use my original 640GB as a spare emergency system boot drive (OS and applications) in an external enclosure.
Another alternative is to wait a few more weeks, in case the rumours of the introduction of a new Mac Pro range in June have any foundation.
    Regards,
    Bill

    Hello again washleyill,
The defining factor, which you haven't mentioned in either this or your original question, is what your overall budget is.
With the introduction of the new models, it's a new ball game now since I replied to your original question.
Now, if it is within your budget, I would recommend the 2010 Mac Pro 3.33GHz 6-Core "Westmere", with the standard 1TB hard drive, the basic 3 x 1GB RAM, but with the CTO Radeon HD5870 1GB Graphics Card.
This is the same configuration that Lloyd Chambers (of Mac Performance Guide fame) has recently ordered:
    http://macperformanceguide.com/index.html
Then buy as much memory as you can afford now from OWC (trade-in the 3 x 1GB of Apple RAM against this):
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Mac-Pro-Memory#1066-memory
(The 1333MHz is now listed on this page as well as the 1066MHZ)
If your budget is large enough, then certainly it is worth considering the 2.93Ghz 12-Core, but the 3.33GHz 6-Core, with maxed out memory and fast hard drives, should be more than adequate for your requirements. The more memory the better for Photoshop CS5!
I have just ordered Photoshop CS5 myself. It is a big step-up from Elements 8, and I was going to wait until next year, by which time, hopefully, any initial problems and bugs should have been resolved.
However, Adobe UK made me an offer I couldn't refuse! The full boxed Photoshop CS5 edition for half price!
Also, the offer included an option to buy Lightroom3 at the same time with a 30% discount off its normal price, and so I have taken the plunge and ordered that as well, because I have never been completely happy with Aperture (II or III). Normally, I would not have purchased both Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3, but at these prices the offer was too tempting.
Best of luck with your purchase,
    Regards,
    Bill

  • Choosing specs for a mac pro

    Hello all,
I've posted this question a few times in the past and am still a bit unsure of what specs i should go with. With the student/teacher discount coming to an end soon, I thought I'd give it one more go. I am also curious how the new mac pro might affect my decision. I will not be needing a 12 core, but did this new product affect the specs for the lower models?
I am looking for a computer that will help me run my small business and keep my art portfolio organized. I'm willing to spend around $3000 and am also willing to use another source to buy less expensive parts to install myself.
My concerns are that it needs to run pretty smoothly with multiple programs open, no overheating, plenty of space for file storage and application support.
Ideally this computer will be my work horse for many years to come.
The programs that would most likely be open in conjunction with one another would be a combination of the following...mozilla, itunes, adobe bridge, dreamweaver, illustrator, and photoshop.
Specifically, i'll be using it for...
    building a few websites
    managing my small business
    large photo file editing
keeping business files, artist receipts, etc
cataloging my art portfolio (large photo files)
storing photos, music, and short videos
    graphic design
    infrequent film editing
    infrequent sound editing

    iphoto
    itunes
    maybe minimal finalcut/soundtrack pro
    maybe minimal aftereffects
I received this response the first time I posted this question and have found it to be very helpful, thanks bill! I'm wondering if anyone else would like to expand on it or perhaps offer other options for my situation. Thank you all very much, any advice is appreciated.

That advice looks pretty sound to me. What I would add is for internal drives you need one for storing your working files (better not to have those on your system drive but not really a big deal). And one for backup with Time Machine. What I also have is a separate external drive to clone my system so I have 2 backups.
And I have a partition on one of the internal drives that is used ONLY as a Photoshop scratch disk. This is by far the fastest solution unless you want to create a raid system. Never have your scratch disk on the same drive as your system drive, not even as a partition. You only need around 500 MB for this and it's best if that partition is dedicated only as a scratch disk.
You can create all of this with partitions for some of it, no need for lots of drives, except use different drives for Time Machine and your clone disk so both can't go out at the same time. I think for speed purposes that the scratch disk and Time Machine should be on internal drives, but Firewire 800 is pretty fast for an external.
Other than that your biggest concern is ram. Get as much as you can afford because that will determine your speed more than anything else.
I was working on a 4 year old iMac, which is a pretty good machine, but the limited 3 gb ram was causing problems because I have Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign open all the time along with Mail, Chrome and a couple of others. When I got a Mac pro last year to replace it I got 8 gb of ram and the speed has been incredible.
    Kevin
Edit: Forgot to mention that you shouldn't buy the hard drives or ram from Apple, they are way too expensive, get the minimum you can from Apple then get new stuff, OWC is a good source.

Interesting questions you have posed here.
I am thinking about upgrading from my MB to a MBP and I too intend to run a similar set of programs, and with large RAW photo files in Aperture. I find my MB is struggling and I dont want to invest any money in upgrading it, I will use it as a back up. I like the MBP and the 13" screen version is so handy and portable.
Have you made your decision yet...or are you still sitting on the fence like myself..?

  • Satellite L775-119 - Upgrade with blu-ray drive?

Had my L775-119 for a few weeks, and it's going great, really pleased but am just wondering if it's possible, sometime in the future to upgrade the DVD RW Drive to a Blu ray re-writer?

    Hello
Im not Satellite L775 owner but I think it should be possible because some L770/L775 models are delivered with blu-ray drive so generally speaking it seems that the notebook support such drives.
But you can get an exact answer from an authorized service provider. The guys can order a compatible drive for you and install it if you are not familiar with notebook part exchange.
Do you know how to contact an authorized service provider?

  • Does Apple have some sort of Trade-In program at any of their local stores?

I bought a Mid-2010 27 in. iMac from a producer friend of mine, it has the newest OS X, a 2TB hard drive and 16 GB of RAM. I'm wondering if I could go to one of their local stores and put my current iMac towards a newer model.
If anybody has the answer please let me know.
    Thanks everybody!

No, Apple do not do part exchange. You can sell your iMac on eBay and put the money towards a newer one.

  • 2009 MacBook freezes

I bought my McBook in Nov. 2009 and part-exchanged my old Toshiba laptop for an extra 2GB of memory.
Best deal in town, IMHO, but the problem is that my Mac has had a tendency to freeze, completely out of the blue.
Sometimes it will be no start-up and very often when viewing Video, either streamed, on CD or from iTunes downloads.
    Is the RAM faulty?
Thanks in advance for all expert opinions.  I read some posts on the subject, from 2009, but I wondered whether more may be known now about this fault.

Many thanks for taking the time to respond to my query, Richard, next time my MacBook freezes I will be sure to try the Force Quit keystroke sequence you suggest.
    Very best regards.
