Parts of Audio Gone After Export

When I export my movie from FCE as a Quicktime Movie to be burned with iDVD, parts of the audio arent there. The whole movie plays back fine in FCE but as soon as its exported, theres missing audio. All of the audio is rendered so I'm not to sure what's going on. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks

Did you Mixdown the audio? (First, Edit>Select all then Sequence>Render Only>Mixdown)
Do you have ALL your render options selected before you render?
Any MP3 files in the sequence?

  • Audio gone after Export to Final Cut Pro XML

    Hi,
Whenever I export to XML, I can't keep working in Logic unless I Relaunch/Initialize CoreAudio. I get no audio playback otherwise. Logic works, just no meter deflection, sound, etc.
Is this a known bug or just my rig? Anyone else have this problem or is willing to try it?
    Thanks, Randall

  • Audio issues after exporting

I've made a 40 minute video of my friends' wedding, which plays beautifully in iMovie, but when I export it, there are some audio issues. I've read other forums and detached all audio before exporting and still the same result.
    1) Part of the opening sequence has a piece of audio (from another part of the video) that runs with some slow motion clips of bride and groom. When I export, the warped, slowed down original audio can be heard in the background. I've tried everything - detach audio and delete the offending piece of original audio to reducing the volume level of the original audio to 0. It's still there after exporting!!!
    2) Maybe as a result of the above, not sure, but once exported, the whole video audio is out of sync by a few seconds. Went back and checked the project and it's all good with all the audio lining up with the clips, but export and it's out of whack
My friends are hounding me to see the video and I keep stalling, quoting some 'technical issues'.
    Please help!

Just wanted to let you all know you've saved my sanity by posting on this board. Your solution - while not what I would have guessed in a million years was the problem source - fixed my video. I can't believe it was so simple! Now, if I could only get the hour(s) back where I tried to find the audio track I 'hadn't muted'...

  • Poor audio quality after exporting to .MOV.

Voiceover in my video sounds crystal clear in the timeline but then thin and "rattley" after export when playing back with Quicktime player. Background music on other tracks always seems to be unaffected. Audio export set to AAC, 48 kHZ, Stereo. I must export to a Quicktime .mov format because it's the only file type that I can upload to YouTube without the color quality being distorted after upload. Adobe Updater says all of my programs are updated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How did you record the VO? is it a mono or stereo track, how are you viewing the export. Sometimes when just one section of the audio is wrong it is due to audio phase problems, I have not seen this with a vo before but it might be the issue. See:

  • Audio problems after exporting

I have created a 43 minute iMovie with very, very heavy editing.
I love my movie, and until recently, it would play back fine within the application.
(but now, not even this works for me anymore.)
When I export the movie in any format, My audio gets all mixed up.. Random audio clips from other parts of the movie are heard with, or substituted during other parts. It is so frustrating after so much hard work.
Is there any way to resolve this problem without having to start from scratch?

Dito! I just worked for months on 45 min movie and the same problem. And the answer is WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whats the piont of beat markers and the ability to use all these things and now i have to WHAT??????? go back and try to re edit the speeds? Great I switched to an Apple only to find out BIG mistake. I cannot believe this has not been fixed. Whata joke! I have to get this DVD in the hands of someone by the end of the weekend that might be able to change my life and i have made a GRAVE mistake in intrusting it in a MAC

  • Audio issues after export to QT (Christmas present - please help!)

I've made a nice presentation in Keynote 4.0.1. My plan was to export it to QT, then
make a DVD of the result. It's supposed to be a chrismas gift to my parents (a presentation
about their newborn grandchild) but now I'm stuck with no working audio.
The presentation includes a few video clips and mp3-audio. They work perfectly when I
preview the presentation in Keynote, but when I try to export them the sound from the
videoclips is gone, and the audio from all the mp3:s stops after about a second.
I have tried to work around this by converting the presentation to Flash, it helps the audio,
but then all the transitions, slides and pictures are messed up.
I've been working with this all night, looked on all forums, without success.
Please, pretty please, all you Santas out there - HELP ME BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!
    Thanks,
    Henrik

Ok. Now I've tried a lot more ways to make this work. I'm getting more and more desperate!
One way was to plug in a headphone cable in the line-in and plug-it in "headphones", and record the audio from the slide as "recorded narrations" in Keynote. This worked on one slide - with lots of audio latency, but when I tried it on the whole slideshow Keynote freaked out and crashed.
I hate this excellent program. I wonder - how can Apple release, and expect people to pay for something so buggy and obviously unfinished as iWork '08.
I've worked with MS Office and Open Office, but never, ever had so much trouble with sudden crashes, missing audio, latency and non-working videoclips! If I had a company I would never risk
to use this software for important speaches and annual reports.

  • Audio Disappears After Export

I've come across a bug that's occurred twice to me in the past 3-4 months. When exporting a sequence out of Premiere Pro, the resulting file loses some of its audio. Here are the details:
A section of 10 minutes of audio towards the end of the project disappear in the resulting .mov QuickTime file
    Export settings are
I cannot get the problem to reoccur after it has happened. It seems to be at random.
The first time this issue occurred, I used H.264 as the codec. So I know that does not fix the issue.
Both times I have sent the sequence to Adobe Media Encoder for export.
Here is a screenshot of the project, showing that everything in the audio mixer window is fine, as well as individual tracks in the timeline. I've set in/out points over the section that disappeared in the export. The green audio track in this area is the audio that was missing, the disabled clip above it is scratch audio and is supposed to be disabled.
Can anyone help me figure out why this issue has occurred? Both times it has happened have been in critical scenarios where the file needs to work (one being a backup in case our satellite feed has issues, and this most recent time it happened on our television broadcast without me knowing until after).

    Hi Codyn,
I'm really not sure. And it sounds like it is not easily repeatable. Can you file a bug report? Here is the link: http://adobe.ly/ReportBug

  • Audio missing  after export

    Hi
Im having a new problem with premiere:
I have a timeline of about 40 minutes long with several audio tracks and sounds, some mp3 from you tube and some recorded on the shooting day.
everything sound just fine in premiere, I even exported one part of the timeline as a seperate movie and it was o.k.
the problem is when I've import the hole track some of the audio tracks were missing/silent. it happend in 2 different projects.
I'm on windows 7 premiere cc update to latest version...

I've seen a couple of others report the same, but I have never seen it myself, nor have any ideas as to why.
You might try a forum search to see what others have said.

  • Audio gone on export- help please!

OK I have tried to search the forums for an answer without success. I have a presentation that I had done which includes one slide with a video and another slide with just an audio file. I did "record slide show" and put narration into the presentation. When I PLAY the slideshow everything works perfectly- with audio on on both the movie slide and the audio file slide as well as my recorded narration. However, when I EXPORT it to QT the sound from the slide with the audio file is missing. The movie slide still has sound and the narration is still there, but the slide with the audio file does not have sound from the audio, only the narration. I am make no sense of this. Suggestions greatly appreciated!!
    Eric

Thanks everyone for your advice, i cant really try anything right now as, after a visit to the genius bar ( the local genius told me there was nothing he could do) and one to tekserve I have dropped the computer to a data recovery company. However, my more technology savvy friend tells me I should precise the following as it might make a difference to your diagnostic:
I turned off the computer manually (pressing the button that is) while it was trying to restart as it was taking forever.
There was actually one file left on the desktop, a random word document.
Hope this can help someone help me

  • Audio Drift after exporting OMF to Pro Tools and importing back AIFF

    Hi,
I have an HDV 1080i50 Final Cut Pro project at 25 FPS (PAL). I exported a quicktime video without sound, as well as an OMF file of the audio. We mixed the OMF audio file using the quicktime file as reference on Pro Tools. In Pro Tools, the mix was done on 25 FPS, same as the original project. Synch was good.
However, after saving the file as AIFF 48/16 and importing it into the original FCP project, there is considerable audio synch drift with the original video.
It was edited in PAL, exported as PAL, mixed as PAL, but now it's not synching with the original PAL video in FCP. It still synchs up with the PAL quicktime, however.
What am I doing wrong? Any ideas???

  • Audio problems after exporting out of iMovie

    Aloha!
I have a 48 minute movie created in imovie with lots of audio, clips and transitions. It works perfectly when I preview or play it in iMovie. When I try to share it to iDvd, export to iDvd, or to save it as a Quicktime movie, it looks great for several minutes, then the audio tracks get messed up. The correct audio is there, but overlayed on it is snippets from farther into the project, or whole tracks from later in the project, or places where the audio drops out completely. I spent about 70 hours creating this movie and really want to burn it to DVD so I can play it on the big screen. I did burn one version to dvd, and it looked and sounded great - until the audio problems began... any help would be greatly appreciated.
In Garage Band there is a feature where you can consolidate your bits into one track - should I be doing something in iMovie after I finish it before I export it?

what kind of speed changes do you mean? If you mean using some clips in slo-mo (with the sound dropped out) then yes I used a LOT of them... but they are also working fine for the first several minutes...

  • Audio missing after exportation

I exported a 8.5 miuntes film (cmd E, video codec:actual settings). When I run it with Quicktime player (10.0) everything is ok, but after approx.7 minutes the sound has sudenly disappeared. I use FCPX 10.0.1. With version 10.0.0 I never faced this problem.
Does anybody know how to fix this ?

I'm work on a PC, but in years past when on rare occasion my audio was somehow messed up in the final export, this has worked for me:
Export the timeline as AUDIO ONLY. I used .wav format on the PC. Then Import that new .wav file and drop into an empty timeline track. MUTE all other audio tracks. Check the audio - if it is all intact and good, you can now export the video with the good audio

  • Images gone after exporting to DVD

Wow, was this ever a surprise. I exported images by selecting individual albums to a DVD for Back up. Now I have all the images on DVD but they are totally gone from iPHoto, including the library. So now I don't have the originals, or at least access to them. What the heck happened? That's crazy. Exporting has always sent a copy of the edited image not the whole shabang. Any way of getting them back and linked up with the originals?

As you have probably deduced by not, that ain't the way it's supposed to work. Using the Share->Burn menu option will produce a disk that's an iPhoto formated disk. You can mount the disk and then open iPhoto. The disk will show in the Source pane directly under the Library icon like this. You can drag that disk icon onto the Library icon and copy back all of those photo, any albums they are associated with, keywords, etc.

  • Audio gone after EyeTV Update

I've just updated to EyeTV 2.3.2 (Everything was fine on 2.3.1) and now find there is no audio through the digital output on the iMac.
If I unplug the connector from the digital out on the back of the computer then plug it back in while eyeTV is running a live tv window, the tv glitches for a second or so and then the audio returns.
If I then Quit eyeTV and start it back up the audio is gone again, and I need to repeat the unplug/plug in operation.
Without eyeTV running the audio is fine (Quicktime/iTunes etc).
I've contacted Elgato support about this and I'm awaiting a reply.
Anyone else having trouble, or does anyone know of a way to roll the eyeTV version back to 2.3.1 to confirm if it's the update or not?

I had similar problems with EyeTV 2.3.2. Elgato didn't help me ( they just asked me the same things I had already told them as if I WAS AN IDIOT and not them - which is typical German arrogant behavior by the way). So better stay away for a while from EyeTV updates. Going back to version 2.3.1 isn't easy because there are some extensions in the system folder which need to be erased. Only re-installing the old app didn't help.

  • All audio disappears after exporting to .mov file

I'm creating a short 'montage' piece, and all audio is muted except for a song which I added into the timeline. I've tried exporting it several times, even replacing the source file for the song, but nothing seems to work. The audio is visible and playing in the timeline, but as soon as I export it, it magically disappears.
    Any suggestions?

Adding to Russ's comments and questions: if you are exporting a file, you get to choose to export only audio, only video or both. Check your setttings in that regard; to complicate matters, this setting sometimes does not stick (a known bug in 10.0.8). If that is the case, the usual workaround is to change some other parameter, make an export (which you can cancel), then go back to the export panel and change it back.
