'Parts of the file seem to be corrupted'

I keep getting this same message when I try to download any video content lately. I have tried with apple to fix this through several emails but nothing is working - all they told me to do was to delete the corrupted file and try again (which I did) but the same thing just keeps happening. Please Help!

In your next email, ask them to escalate this problem to a manager or at LEAST to someone who will try to download the same dratted file. That would quickly clear up the question of whether the file is corrupted or if your connection to iTS is flaky.

I'v downloaded a tv series, paid for it, its in my itunes but with exclamation marks next to it, every time it tries to download the series it says "part of the file seems to be corrupted" and tells me to redownload it.Tried that 8 times and it comes up the same. What do I do?

Clear the contents of ...iTunes\iTunes Media\Download and try one more time.
If the problem recurs use the "report a problem" links in your account history and explain what has happened so far. There may be a problem with the source rather than your download of it.

    Could be.
This may be hard to believe, but I think my problem was that the built-in WiFi adapter on my HP desktop had
gotten flaky. I switched to a Buffalo USB WiFi and the problem immediately disappeared. I never saw any errors, etc. from the Ralink adapter. Strange.  Might try another type of connection to the Internet.

  • Parts of the file seems to be corrupted

I purchased a TV Series Season and all but two of the shows downloaded just fine.  The two that didn't interupted part of the way through one around 70% complete and the other around 10%.  I got the the above error and it told me to just "Check for Available Downloads" as the solution but it does the same thing over and over saying its partially corrupted.  Anyone have a solution?

Last time this happened to me, I had to wait it out...the downloads eventually completed.

  • "Part of the file seems to be corrupted" when downloading from iTunes Store

I have suddenly started getting this issue. It has happened once before, but after 2 retries, it worked.
However, this time it refuses to work no matter how many retries, restarts, and reboots...
I have looked up the error it give me on my Downloads section of iTunes (error 8008) and the solution does not work.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297
It acts like it can't make a connection to the server, making multiple retrys on the download, then gives me the error.
But, I can connect to the store with no issue...
This is VERY frustrating seeing how I can't see iTunes selling me a corrupt episode of a series I have already bought a season pass for...
I was hoping to watch it this evening, however that looks unlikely now...
    Any help on this issue?

If you've had no joy with that, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

  • There was a problem downloading song. The file seems to be corrupted.

    Hi
I'm trying to download an album i purchased but i'm constantly getting the message "There was a problem downloading X. The file seems to be corrupted" for every song I try to download. Also if i try to stream the song it says "This computer is not authorized to play X. Would you like to authorize it". But my computer is already authorized and when I try to authorize it again, it says this computer is already authorized.
I've tried downloading them through the purchased section of the store (which causes itunes to crash 50% of the time) with no luck. I've also reinstalled itunes. This only started happening once I installed the latest version of itunes.
    Any help would be appreciated

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

  • Song won't download because the "File seems to be corrupt". Now what?

I purchased a song through iTunes and am trying to download it on my PC.  The song tries to download 4 TIMES, then displays an ERROR MESSAGE that THE SONG COULD NOT BE DOWNLOADED.  THE FILE SEEMS TO BE CORRUPT.  RETURN TO THE "CHECK FOR AVAILABLE DOWNLOADS" IN THE STORE MENU.  I have done this several times.  NO CHANGE, ALWAYS THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE.  What do I do next.  I either want the song to correctly download or get a refund for the purchase.  Please Help.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.

  • TS1424 The file seems to be corrupted

Does anyone know how to fix a song that was purchased but the message says, "the file seems to be corrupted".

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • Keep receiving the iTunes error:  The file seems to be corrupted.  To redownload the file choose "Check for available downloads" from the store menu.

I keep getting the above error.  When I go through the store tab, I continue to get the same message.  I found something about deleting the tmp file earlier today at another site but it was related to an older version of iTunes and was of no real help.
All I want to do is download the song I've been charged for.
    Solutions?

In the past 24 hours I have attempted to download 3 songs from iTunes, but get this message: ""The file seems to be corrupted. To redownload the file, choose ""Check for Purchases'' from the store menu.'' When I do that, the same message comes back again and again. iTunes has already sent me a receipt and charged me for the downloands, yet I haven't actually received them. Any suggestions/explanations?
