Party Entrance Tone not working on CUCM 10.5(1.10000.7)

Party Entrance Tone not working on CUCM 10.5(1.10000.7) . This is an intermitent issue for Meet Me conference.
++On the CUCM Service Parameter Party Entrance Tone has is TRUE .
++On Directory number Party Entrance Tone is ON . However the Party entrance tone (Beep tone) not coming when Meet Me conference going on .
Gateway 3945 with IOS Version 15.3(3)M5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3).
The conference Configureation as below.

Can any one tell me how the party entrance tone happening when a confernce session open.Is it generated from the hardware Confernce resource which configured on the gateway while mixing the RTP streams ? Is there anything to do with CUCM or any service in CUCM to generate the Party entrance tone ?

Description
Symptom:
- MeetMe party entrance tones stop getting played to participants when they join/leave
- The issue will go away for a few weeks if the CCM service is restarted, but then will come back.
- When the issue comes back, it fails 100% of the time.
Conditions:
This problem would occur when we have user having a call from user in different node initiate transfer and also initiate MeetMe and dial user in different node. When transfer completes, we will have a leak in current node MeetMe. This issue should have been there in all CCM versions.
Workaround:
Restarting the CCM service will correct the problem temporarily.
You can either try the workaround or upgrade to one of the fixed versions.

If the iPhone came from the US then it is locked to AT&T. To unlock an iPhone the original carrier is the only one who can unlock the iPhone and AT&T will not unlock iPhones. So there is not official way to unlock the iPhone 4.
At this point there is no way to hack the iPhone 4 running 4.2.1 to unlock it either so the phone and messaging apps will never work. You basically have an iPod touch.

HA! By Jove I've Got it! it was simples..
TURN ON THE RINGING ON / OFF BUTTON ON THE SIDE OF YOUR PHONE JUST ABOVE THE VOLUME BUTTONS. THEN MAKE SURE THE VOLUME IS UP TO THE HIGHEST. NOW JUST TRY THIS!
I ALSO LOOKED UP A MANUAL ON IPHONE4:
Ringtones, Ring/Silent switch, and vibrate
iPhone comes with ringtones that sound for incoming calls, Clock alarms, and the Clock timer.
You can also purchase ringtones from songs in iTunes. See Chapter 22, iTunes Store, on page 94.
Set the default ringtone: Go to Settings > Sounds > Ringtone.
Turn the ringer on or off: Flip the switch on the side of iPhone.
Important: Clock alarms still sound even if you set the Ring/Silent switch to silent.
Turn vibrate on or off: Go to Settings > Sounds.
Assign a different ringtone for a contact: In Contacts, choose a contact, tap edit, then tap
Ringtone and choose a ringtone.
For more information, see Sounds on page 139.
THE REASON MY PHONE HAD NO RING TONE, WAS SIMPLY BECAUSE THE VOLUME WAS TURNED DOWN. :-/

Third party widget's not working

Third party widgets not working (Festive lights & Christmas countdown)could it be that they can't connect to the internet

Suggest checking the widgets' developer's web pages for information on compatibility. My quick glance at the Festive Lights homepage suggests it hasn't been updated since the version produced for compatibility with Tiger. I don't know how they work, but they may need updating for compatibility with Lion.

MOH not working in cucm only beep sound

HI,
I have an IP Telephony set up running on CUCM 9.1.Publisher and subscriber in a single site deployment model.
Customized MOH were configured and running fine before.Now users are complaining that MOH is not working(both internal and external calls) and only beep sound is hearing when putting on hold .
I have checked the MOH server is registered and I have restart the Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming App service for both pub and sub
But when i am selecting the Sample Audio source its working fine and I can hear the cisco sound on MOH.
I have added another audio source for testing and assigned to the phones but result is same.
Multi cast allowed on the Audio source and its enabled in the MOH server.
Attached the screen shot for MOH audio source and MOH server.
Please advice how to fix this issue.

Beep sound indicates configuration issues, few things to check:
Make sure the DP assigned to the MOH server is set to use G711 between other regions, unless you enabled other codecs in service parameters
Make sure the MOH file is uploaded to all servers
Make sure the MOH server is assigned to MRG/MRGL of the devices needing to connect to it (phones, GWs, etc).
Can you try using unicast vs. multicast to see if that fixes it?

TEXT TONES NOT WORKING ON YOUR iPHONE 4/4S?

This is the problem and how I fixed it... Everything works fine, there is not a software problem!!
This deals with anything bluetooth. If you have a newer car/truck that is Bluetooth enabled and you are using the Bluetooth to listen to your music as well as making hands free calls, you need to just set up bluetooth to make and answer calls ONLY, DO NOT SET THE VEHICLE TO BE ABLE TO PICK UP YOUR MUSIC, use the cord that came with your iPhone. You will need to delete the phone from your vehicle and program it again for just the phone only, NOT multi-media. If you have Bluetooth on your iMac and your iPhone is synced to it, unsync it and use your cord to send/receive info to your iMac/PC. I have received 3 different iPhones from Verizon and thought I was going to lose my mind because my iPhone's text tone would not work on any of them until I realized it was only when I was near my truck or close to my iMac. So, as I am typing this out, I have received 2 text messages and heard the tone!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!! Hope this helps everyone with this problem!!

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Interrupted Dial Tone not working when new voicemail

I have been using an answering machine; however, would like to go back to using my Verizon Voicemail (NOT FIOS).
The voicemail works; however, I do NOT get the interrupted dial tone to notify me of new messages, so I have to dial in the check every time.
I tried online chat, only to be told after over half an hour they could help me, that I had to call the 800 number. I called the 800 number, and got the automated message they had high volume, and I would have to wait. I couldn't stay tied to the phone/computer any longer.
I checked my account settings and don't see a setting that I need to change.
I tried submitting an order online, but it won't let me.
Can someone tell me how I can get this resolved?

Hey AnotherMe, try this login in voicemail and make sure you exit the voicemail system before you hang up the receiver but if that does not work send me a private message with your phone phone number. I could take a look at your phone features and send it to the right department if needed.

HT1386 syncing made my mail tone not work

hi all i did a sync of my iphone 4s recently all seemed to be well until i got a mail message and discovered that my mail tone is now not working all other tones are working and have checked the settings and all is as it should be short of doing a factory restore is there a fix for this and can someone tell me what has gone wrong so i can avoid this problem in the future

Third party apps are not working at all.

It's weird that all my installed apps were not working today. When i taped on an app, there was a suddent sparkling, nothing else happened and backed to the home screen. I could find the app I just open at the background. but every original app comes with the phone was working properly. I also went to a local apple store for solution since I didn't really want to restore the phone and reinstall any apps, but finally I had to to restore my phone. So disappointed that Apple has no other solution to fix this problem but need to restore the phone. When I asked what would cause this problem, they just told me this problem usually happened and suggested me to restore it in order to make it work.

Toggle key tones not working when Creative enhancement software is active?

I make use of the Windows 7 toggle key tones. For those who don't know that: when enabled, your hear a tone when you strike the Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock keyboard keys. Especially the Caps Lock tone is very handy cause you know right away that you pressed it by accident
But when the Creative Sound Blaster enhancements are set to Active in the Properties of Speakers part of Windows 7, those key tones do now work any more? When I switch the Sound Blaster enhancements Off, then the key tones do work just fine.
All other sounds are just great, no trouble at all with that. It's only those key tones that don't work any more whit the enhancements set to On.
Is there a solution for this?
Edit: forgot to mention. I have normal stereo 2.0 speakers, Creative Gigaworks T20 II.

3rd Party Apps - Shortcuts not working

While working in Illustrator and FreeHand, I used to be able to hold down the shift to select multiple items, or hold down the space bar to move around a page. That was when I had G4. Now on the MacBook, these features do not work.
Do I need to set up something in the settings to allow this to work again?

I have turn quite all ON since i don't plug any screen/keyboard/mouse on the slave machine since i control it from the main machine.
So:
-screen sharing: on
-files sharing: on
-remote session: on
-remote control: on
-Xgrid sharing: on
and all other: off
No firewall or so.
THAT'S THE PROBLEM.
Turn off all this stuff, you're using too much ethernet bandwidth. Node needs ALL the available bandwidth to work properly.

Interclustering not working in CUCM 7 & 8.5

i am having CUCM 7 at my end and CUCM 8.5 at another location. Earlier i was able to make successfull calls from either of clusters, but currently dial pattern has been change and i am not able to make calls from my CUCM cluster to another CUCM cluster.
I am having one another location and one trunk has been configured for the same and calls through that trunk are working fine.
I have just changed the dial pattern from one to another and not made any changes in trunks, route pattern,rute list or CSS. Can anyone guide here to what needs to be done to make successfull calls between two CUCMs clusters.

Customer have just changed the route pattern number 1241XXXX to 1201XXXX. In the dial number analyzer it does show that it is taking route pttern as 1201XXXX, but call is not getting connected. What can be the issue?

Why are my message tones not working?

I have worked with apple to reset software so as not to download any previous issues .... tones are still silent. I was given a new iPhone 4 .... tones are still silent. Sound settings are set correctly. Any ideas???? Thanks

What is your machine and its operating system ? Please enable Microphone in Recording devices as follows:
1. Right click speaker icon (right hand corner)
2. Select Microphone devices
3. Right click Microphone
4. Enable it
5. Click Apply/Ok

Tones not working after purchase on iPhone 6 and not syncing with iTunes

Hi.
I purchased three tones on iPhone 6 through the iTunes Store app.
The tones worked for a while until today I noticed that they were gone. I checked the Settings - -->Sounds but could not find the tones.
I connected the iPhone 6 to iTunes and could see the purchased tones under On My Device -- Tone but they are greyed out.
I have tried every thing but could not sync the tones into iTunes and I can't get them to work either. Please suggest a way out.

UPDATE:
Called Apple support and they confirmed this is a known issue.
They don't have an ETR on when this will be fixed. They offered a refund for the three tones but I will wait till this gets fixed. Must be a small software bug.
