Party in a scenario IDoc -- XI -- File.?

Hi folks,
I have a scenario IDoc <> XI <> File. Some IDOCs are LS, KU and LI type. Do I need a XI party to configure this scenario?
Thanks in advance,
Ricardo.

Thanks for the quick answers
Remember that I also have File -> XI -> IDoc.
But, I still don't understand how SAP backend can distinguish the same IDOC for different partner types, ex. ORDERS05 type LS and/or KU. When the IDoc arrives the backend how it knows which type of IDoc is dealing?
Cheers,
Ricardo.

  • Integration server as logical system in IDoc to file scenario

    Hi,
Will we configure integration server as logical system in IDoc to file scenario or the RFC destination related to the port will be suffice?
For which logical system will the outbound partner profile configured?
    Regards,
    Gajendra.

    Hello,
I feel that the RFC destination linked to the port is the key here.
Because the scenario (IDoc to File) works in both the cases:
Case 1: Used the logical system as Integration server
Case 2: Used the logical system related to the file (third party) in the SLD.
In both the above cases the RFC destination points to the integration server.
Is this the case that in the XI scenarios (where IDoc are sent) the logical system name in the partner profile is just dummy and has not much significance??
It is the port that matters and once the Idoc reaches XI the routing takes place based on the configuration in ID.
    Thanks.

    Gajendra.

  • Problem : Idoc to File scneario using Party ..!!

    Hi ,
lam doing Idoc to file scenario by using party.
Partner type for receiving system is "LS".
    1. when I use Party for my sending system , the message is not processing showing error as " No receiver could be determined"
    2. When I use the sending system as Without Party and the receiving system as Party, the message is processing.
    Questions:
    1. We should not use Party for the sender system when the partner type is "LS"??
    2. Can we use the Party for my sending system when the partner type is "LI" or "KU".?
If yes, Do i need to do any Identifier settings in communication channels or at Party side like ALE#KU or ALE#LI??
Please clarify the main question whether can i use party for my SAP system when the partner type is "LS" for outbound scenario(Idoc to file).
    Waiting for your answers.

    Hi,''
a SLD registration of DUMMY system for every Party
    1. We should not use Party for the sender system when the partner type is "LS"??
The only way I know is to make a Dummy system in the SLD with a LS, which I can use in the headermapping of the receiver agreement.
You could use pratner type as LS enven for party, but there no need as such because you could do this as per below steps also
it is not possible to have a logical system within a service, that belongs to a party. Any entries you are doing here, are ignored.
    2. Can we use the Party for my sending system when the partner type is "LI" or "KU".?
If yes, Do i need to do any Identifier settings in communication channels or at Party side like ALE#KU or ALE#LI??
Yes you can use the Party for sending system for LI or KU, You difinately need to setup the identifiers for it.
Usually an IDOC which is received from a customer should have a sender type LI or KU.
A workaround for your problem: For each service that belongs to a party create a party-less service with the logical system and do a header mapping. You need not maintain this service in the SLD. Just create a business service.
If the field SNDPRT contains LS, the service is a logical system and the sender party remains blank.
If it is not a logical system, a party is determined by means of the alternative identifiers (for the party). The following are used as identifiers:
    ·        Agency is the sender service found
    ·        Scheme is “ALE#“ + SNDPRT. If the field SNDPFC contains a value, the following is added: “#“ + SNDPFC
    ·        Name is SNDPRN
These values are used to search across all parties. The party that is found is used as the sender party.

  • IDOC to File Scenario - Configuration steps need to be done in R3 and XI

    Hi Experts,
I am working with IDoc to File scenario. Can someone please explain, what are the steps or configuration things need to be done in R3 and as well as in XI too.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sree

    Hi Sree,
I thought i will just share a few basic thoughts that you need to take care while doing an IDOC to File Scenario. Just see if it helps you in anyways.
While doing an IDOC -> XI -> File scenario, The Points to noted are:
    1. You don’t need a DT, MT or a message interface for the IDOC as it itself acts as the Message Interface.
    2. You import the IDOC and use the same in your mapping.
    3. In this configuration note that you don’t have a sender agreement as you don’t have a sender IDOC adapter.
If it is that you wanted to send an IDOC from XI (File to IDOC) , then in this case:
points 1 and 2 will remain, but the 3 will not. You will need a sender agreement for the file and a receiver agreement for the IDOC.

To be able to trigger your IDOC from the SAP ISU system, you will have to set the partner profile in we20. Select your Business System (mostly under Logical system) and then create Outbound entries for whichever IDOC you want to trigger.
You define your basic type also in your partner profile settings, Please go thru the following links to get a better idea about partner profile:

  • Acknowledgements IDOC - XI - File

    Hi all,
    I'm facing the following problem...
There was a scenario IDOC - XI - FILE (lets say from system A to MDM) that was working properly for a while but when we implemented a new IDOC to file from a new system to MDM then the already existing interfaces from A to MDM stopped, all of them were stocked into queues.
In SXMB_MONI all the messages were marked as successfully processed but they weren't delivered, the comm. channel is active and there are not errors but the Queues show this one:
    " CO_TXT_ROUTING_BACK_ERROR "
So we have gone thru all the threads related with this error and we have updated the IDXNOALE table to see if this will solve the further message processing but the thing is, why XI did not deliver the processed messages if they were marked with the success status? How can you retrieve/reprocess all those messages stocked into queues?
Why DEV and QAS were Ok but then PRD started failling? We never updated those tables... but now in PRD we have to.. I don't understand why...
This topic is very confusing for me and for all of us that are facing this problem, so if someone has a very good answer, please  post it...
    Thanks for your help...

  • IDOC to file: Increase sequence number for each item in a segment

I am having one scenario IDOC to file, where one IDoc with multiple items for an header in it will be sent.
In Destination structure, for each iitem segment I am creating multiple rows. I have a field(INC_NUM) in target structure where in I have to start line number from 1 for each item.
Also I have a condition - for item x or y I should only have the same line number.

  • IDoc to file. Grouping and generation of files based on condition

    Hi All,
I am working on a scenario, Idoc to File. I need to create number of files based on  occurrence of a field(vendor) in the idoc. Also the condition is to group by the field(vendor) and create as many files as the number of groups formed.
For e.g.: In an Idoc if there are ten items present and 3 vendors who are supplying it. <b>The vendor and items can repeat in any order within the same idoc. </b>
I need to group the items by the vendors and create a file separately for each vendor.  Like :
    Item         Vendor
    Item1       V1
    Item2         V1
    Item3         V2
    Item4       V2
    Item5        V2
    Item6         V2
    Item1      V2
    Item2         V2
    Item3        V3
    Item6        V3
What we have to achieve is, to group by the vendors irrespective of the order of the items or number of reoccurrence of the items.  As you see, the Item1 is supplied by both V1 and V2. I need to generate 3 files as follows:
    V1.xml with Item1 and Item2 details.
    V2.xml with Item3, Item4, Item5, Item6, Item1 Item2 details.
    V3.xml with Item3 and Item6 details.
Can someone please help me with achieving this without using BPM?

    Hi Shashi,
For this scenario you have to use multimaping without BPM using this blog.
    /people/jin.shin/blog/2006/02/07/multi-mapping-without-bpm--yes-it146s-possible
And while doing your message mapping you have to use <b>removeContext</b> & <b>SplitByValue</b> (double clike the on splitbyvalue and select <b>value changed</b>) function. This function you have to use with the node in which your Vendor is coming. Example:
if required to sort the vendor, then first sort the vendor in the below mapping.
    Vendor (NODE) -
    > removeContext -
    > SplitByValue (value Changed) -
    > IDOC.
By doing this your vendor will be grouped and you will get new IDOC on change of  Vendor.

    Hi
Check for  sender details . Sender interface must be the IDOC.
Open SXMB_MONI and check your msg fro the sender system details. They match exactly the details in Receiver Determination.
Check the Receiver Determination is configured correctly. i.e R/3
Verify all the configurations like SM59, Partner Profile/Logical systems. etc. Also check in SM58 of R/3 system.Make sure that All the objects are activated in the Directory.Refresh the cache.Verify is the business system is pointing to correct R/3 system . Go to Business system/Service->Menu->Adapter specific identifiers in the directory
You can test your configuration with sample
    payload.
In ID goto to TOOLS -
    > Test Configuration for testing.
Hope in this way you can still find at which point the interface goes wrong

    Hi,
while we create RFC Destination (SM59) in R/3 System, in logon security tab do we need to provide R/3 credentials or XI credentials??!!

    Thanks.,

For idoc - file scenario - The purpose of RFC destination is to connect with any external system, XI in this case.
So to connect with XI, credentials of XI should be given

  • Idoc to File scenario using Party

    Hi All,
I have to configure Idoc to File scenario .This file needs to be posted in EDI Subsystem .My receiver partner type is LI.That means i need to use Party here.So please let me know the step by step solution to do this.Specially i want to know the configuration in Party Identifier and Receiver Communication channel Identifiers.
How the control record values from idoc are transferred to EDI File structure and how will XI identify one of the many customers to post the file.
All valuable suggestions will be rewarded the points.
Please send me the documents for such scenario with screen shots.

    Hi,
Let me see if I had you requirement correct.
When the Idoc is sent from R3, sender partner type is LS and Receiver Partner Type is LI.
    If yes,
    1. Create a Party in ID.
    2. The Agency , Scheme and Identifier will have values,
Agency --> Receiver Business System name or Business Service Name  to be used for File.
    Scheme --> ALE#LI
Identiier --> Value of the RCVPRN field in the idoc control Record. Basically the Receiver Partner Name.
All the Configuration In ID will use this Party as the Receiver Party and the corresponding Service asthe Receiver service.
No need for a sender party as sender partner is LS.
