Muchas gracias

    s,
Here's the address of the iOS Keynote discussion where you may have more luck finding an answer: https://discussions.apple.com/community/app_store/iwork_for_ios#
A good percentage of us in the Mac iWork discussions don't have the iOS device version.

  • Where can I find a listing of elements common to Keynote Mac and iPad?

I developed a beautiful Keynote presentation from a PowerPoint presentation on my MacBooK.  I transferred it to the Keynote app on my iPad.  The conversion to the iPad eliminated all the 3D graphs.  The conversion changed fonts.  After the transfer the slides must be reformatted to make a descent presentation.  Where is there information on what the Keynote app for iPad supports in regard to themes, fonts, charts, etc?  It is also obvious that some themes can be imported when a presentation did not incorporate a native Keynote iPad theme.  Where can you find elements you can import?

Nevermind, After I posted my question I found a similar question with a link to a helpful article.  I cut and pasted a bunch of font, theme and formatting information from the article into a numbers sheet.
The link to the article is below.  I hope.  I have never had much success at pasting links.

If the link does not get you there cut and paste the address below and it will get you there.

You will need to use the Keynote for iPad: Frequently Asked Questions link in the article.  Expand the FAQ categories to get more formatting info.

  • White slide numbers in mac keynote remain black on ipad

Can anyone explain to me why slide numbers formatted to be white in the master pages on the mac are black when i open the same keynote file on the iPad?

Yes. Deeply annoying. I've just encountered this too. Why won't it at least maintain formatting that has been applied in Keynote on the Mac. How difficult could it be?

  • If i buy Pages, Keynote, or Numbers do i have to buy for MAC and iPad??

if i buy Pages, Keynote, or Numbers do i have to buy for MAC and iPad??

    Hi Rico,
If you want the apps on both of them, then yes. Mac apps and IOS apps are separate animals, so unlike purchasing an app for an iPhone and having it available for your iPad (because they are both IOS devices), you need both the IOS version and the OSX version in order to run them on both your iPad and your Mac.

  • I have keynote on ipad2 and powerbook g4. if I send a keynote work from mac to Ipad, I cannot read it. any solution?

I have keynote on ipad2 and powerbook g4. if I send,by mail, a keynote work from mac to Ipad, I cannot read it.there is no problem fram Ipad to mac. any solution? thanks

How are you trying to transfer the Keynote presentation?
You can email the presentation to yourself and open it with Keynote on your iPad.
You can use iTunes. Connect your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes, go to the App Tab for your device and add your presentation to the Apps/Keynote section. Now if you touch the "+" in keynote on your iPad you will get the choice Copy from iTunes.
Your can setup iCloud on your laptop & iPad and save your Mac laptop presentation to iCloud and just open it on your iPad.
There are, of course many other ways, Dropbox, etc.

  • How to synchronise the fonts between mac and ipad in the keynote app?

I use Keynote on both Mac and iPad machines. Unfortunately, the font set in iPad is quite different than in Macbook and because of that, every presentation must be re-writen while changing the device. This is a bit annoyent and I cannot find the solution.

Only use fonts on your Mac that you know are available on the iPad.

How do I get documents from Mac to iPad?

If you just have a few that you want to view, you can e-mail them to yourself and use the viewer in the mail app to view them.
If you have several or want to save them on the iPad or edit them then you'll need an app. Apple has iPad versions of Pages, numbers and keynote that should sync between your mac and iPad.

  • I can't import Keynote files into my iPad from MobileMe

Firstly, I have spent an hour or two on the web and on these forums trying to solve my problem. My goal is this: I want to open presentations on my iPad that I created on my Mac Pro. Simple enough? But every time I try to open any presentation (I store all my data files on MobileMe) I get the error "Presentation couldn't be imported. Keynote only supports documents created with iWork '09." That error message must be wrong on several levels. Firstly, today I downloaded the latest version of Keynote from the App Store for Mac. And it goes without saying I have Keynote for iPad. Why then does Keynote for iPad refuse to import any Keynote for Mac files. My files are simple: two lines of text and two images. Another thing that's wrong with the error message is that just before the error I get "Downloading 10KB of 4.0GB". but my file isn't 4GB, it's 1MB. Is the latest version of Keynote on the Apple App Store for Mac OS X not current? Do I actually have to go buy a box set of iWork to be able to access my files from my iPad? Isn't the App Store's Keynote good enough? What could I possibly be doing wrong?

Hello MiniMe2. I am steaming just like you and my iPad lost the magic, I am looking at it right now with dissapointment, not taking it as serious tool but as some sort of paper weight, nice toy. I would advise you to save your presentations using Tools/Share Print/Send to iTunes menu items in Keynote presentation. That is what I have been doing ever since, but recently I am not able to bring back some of my presentations from iTunes even know I have had using them numerous times in the past. Error message: "Presentation couldn't beimported." So I cannot give you this advice. Can you imagine the horror? Iam up front of people who depend on my presentation and I cannot bring it up.So I did half *** presentation using my own unreliable memory. I am sure that my audience and my boss were not impressed, extent of damage could be even looking for new job, but you think Apple cares laughing all the way to the bank?

  • Is Keynote iso compatible with keynote for Mac?

Is Keynote iso compatible with keynote for Mac? Can I run a presentation on my ipad that was created on my Mac? And can I make changes on my ipad to a presentation that was first created on my Mac?

Keynote files created on one platform can be played and edited on the other, but there are many incompatibilities.
    read this item from Apple:
    Transfering Keynote files to iPad

  • Why are the themes in Keynote for Mac and iOS still so different?

    Hi guys,
I love Keynote for Mac and I would love to love Keynote for iPad, but as you all know there are many shortcomings. One thing I just can't grasp why Apple still makes the basic themes so different between the two platforms. For the last years I always used Gradient theme on the Mac for my presentations. Whenever I want to play a presentation on the iPad I get the usual warnings (although I basically never use anything fancy in my presentations). Obviosly this is annoying, but what I don't get at all:
    1. Why do they use as a standard for the same theme different fonts and font sizes (Gill Sans 42pt on Mac vs. Helvetica 38 pt on iPad)
    2. Why does Keynote has a inconsistent behaviour between Mac and iPad in the most simple functions??
         - When I add a few bullet points on the Mac the font size is not changed but you get an indicator (plus sign) at the bottom of your text box to tell you that you ran out of space
         - When I do the same on the iPad the font size gets adjusted automatically to fit in the text box.
I am not expecting that every little fancy things translates perfectly between Mac and iPad but that those most simple things are inconsistent is very irritating.
Well, that actually feels better now that is off my chest
What do you guys think about that??
    Alex

Nobody here can tell you why Apple does things the way it does them, but you can tell Apple how you would like things to work at

Hello how to import keynote presentations from my ipad to my imac

Yes your MBA is up to date as far as Lion is concerned... But Keynote requires you Upgrade to Mavericks
Keynote for Mac = Compatibility: OS X 10.9 or later
