Pascode lock change from keyboard to number only pad?

I am using Activesync with my work email and they enforce the passcode in order to unlock my phone. This is very difficult/dangerous while driving to unlock the phone with the tiny full keyboard and would be really nice if we had the option use use just the number dialer pad to input this pin. Is there any way to do this? If not apple please make this an option.

Thanks for the question. I understand your phone number is not checked and greyed out in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. It sounds like iMessage may have not activated correctly. You can attempt to toggle iMessage off, and back on. If your issue is still not resolve, see this article:

Number lock shortcut on keyboard with number pad

How do I turn number lock back on? Somehow I turned the number lock off, probably while cleaning the keyboard.

Try the clear button above the keypad.

Fact columns Datatype is changing from char to int in OBIEE 11g

I am taking measure columns - "product description","tot cost" against a dimension "project name" .
I am generating this report in a planing form and OBIEE .
in planing form :
product description tot cost
project name
P1 A 1500
p2 B 1700
p3 C 1800
in obiee report :
product description
project name
P1 16 1500
p2 17 1700
p3 19 1800
Somehow , measure's datatype are getting changed from char to number , in OBIEE report.
By default , the data type for all fact's is Double .I tried changing that to varchar , but result is same .
Do I need to change anything in physical layer / RPD .
OBIEE version : 11.1.1.6
Essbase version : 11.1.2

Thanks for your reply . To confirm , the data type of product description column is "double" in essbase .
I found out ,thers's a RDBMS table , consisting of two columns - ID, text value . where product description's are in text value's with the corresponding ID's(integer values) .
Now , when I am creating a form in planning , its fetching the text values of product description (there's some inbulit setting's available for this in plannng) .
However , in obiee its fetching the ID values of product description .
So ,
1. Is there any similer setting I can do for OBIEE , so that it's fetches only text value's of product description .
2. If not , then I have to join the essbase fact table with this RDBMS table . I am not sure how to do it .

Finder: Changing from thumbnail view to column view takes me back to the root folder.

I was hoping someone could help me with this as it's getting a bit tedious having to re-navigate back to the folder I was in. This problem is only occuring when I am working from an external NAS Drive.
I need to switch between thumbnail view and column view regularly, but whenever I change from thumnails to column - finder jumps back to the root folder, meaning I have to work my way back to where I was.
I can't figure out how to stop this happening! It doesn't happen when changing from column to thumbnails, only the other way round..

Thanks for your reply Unfortunately though I already use AFP on the NAS drive and still have the problem, so it seems this is an issue with both AFP and CIFS..

You can change the address that new iMessage conversations are started with in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Start new conversations from:. Note that this setting applies only to new conversations. If you would like to change the address from which messages are sent, first change this setting, and then delete the existing conversation and start a new one.
iMessage responses will be sent from the address the recipient most recently messaged. For example, a friend sends you a message to your Apple ID. Responses in this conversation will be sent from your Apple ID, even if you've selected new conversations to start from your phone number.

Can not change from French Keyboard settings to another language

Just installed a user account (french) and for some odd reason every time i change the keyboard input to another language it still switches back or simply keeps on using the french input, even if i totally de-select it from the input list and leave only the language i want to use.
i ran disk utilities to fix permissions, also fixed keychain permissions as well; still the same.
can anyone please advise on what i should do about this to get it working right?

ok i finally got rid of france and the french curse here
Your right to remove the prefs folder,
1-i moved it to the desktop, and noticed when i re-logged in what was in the pref folder,
2-then narrowed it down to the files that where again created automatically in the prefs folder for the keyboard input after i selected another country flag .
3- i then drag and dropped all the files from the previous prefs folder that had the com.apple etc, and i chose to replace what i refered, like for example my DOC prefs, and the rest i did not replace.
everything is now back, this user had so many prefs since OS9 !, wierdo.

Pulling my hair out: Change format from date to number format?

I was recently sent a formatted Excel spreadsheet in which to enter my own numbers. The format is date and duration, but the last column is the total number of hours and minutes converted into decimals, e.g. 3hrs. 30mins. = 3.5 hours.
It was going fine until last night when I tried to enter 5:73 as a number, not a duration, but Numbers keeps changing it to 6m 13s. I've tried changing the format from Duration to Number but although the cell will say 0:00, when I enter the number 5:73 it automatically switches back.
The weird thing is that it's only happening on about one-third of the cells. I even cut-and-pasted a section of the spreadsheet that didn't have this problem, cleared the contents and then typed my info into the same lines and rows and it's still doing the same thing.
How can I see the hidden formatting in Numbers cells to see if I can figure what needs to be changed?

dragging on bottom right corner but all that does is increase the range, not the size of the actual cell itself.
Hover the cursor over the right of a column (Column B in this example) until the cursor becomes a cross with arrows pointing East and West. Drag right to widen the column.
Or use the Format Panel > Table > Row & Column Size
(You may have to drag the panel up to see this)
I really miss in Numbers is being able to edit cell contents in a formula bar.
Here is the formula bar in Numbers 3.2 after clicking twice on a cell
The formula bar is moveable. Hover over the left of the bar until the cursor changes to a 'hand' and you can drag it.
Resize the formula bar by hovering over any edge and drag
Tricky with a trackpad, easier with a mouse .
Also, the cell contents appear at bottom left of the Numbers window
If you prefer Numbers 2.3, I agree it is much more user-friendly version.

If I'm correct, as long as someone is logged into your Apple ID, they can receive your messages. If you think someone else is using your Apple ID, change your password.

There is no way for the keyboard itself to display only lower case letters. It doesn't display lower case letters at all for that matter.
When you are using the keyboard - The other issue that you will have is with the shift key. Even with auto caps turned off you can still type capital letters if you tap the shift key and if you double tap it by mistake - it will turn into all capital letters so also turn off Caps Lock in the keyboard settings.
Other than that, there is no way to ensure that you can type in lower case.
Maybe an external bluetooth keyboard would be a better solution but I don't use one, and I have never even seen one in person so someone else will have to verify that for you.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

I get the following message every time I try using My MacID which was set up in Japan: "This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the Japanese iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store." At one point... by which path I do not remember... I was instructed to created a new ID. I fill out the new ID forms, but the address is rejected each time... quite confusing. Does it want a new name? But it says I cannot use an apple domain (tag?) even though I guess it has to be an apple address... ? So I have iTunes crdit cards purchansed in Australia, can't spend in AUstralian iTunes Store, get directed back to Japan each time, and can't open a new ID... What am I doing wrong? You must have a separate Apple ID registered in the other store along with a valid bank-issued charge card in the other country, and a legal billing address in the other country.
Sorry... But... You cannot use other countries itunes stores.
You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country..
