Pass Code Change Message?

Hi, Can anyone help resolve the following?
Since upgrading to 2.2 I keep getting a pop-up ‘Pass Code’ update message for my work Exchange email. I first updated it to 8 characters from 4 and now it’s asking me for 15 characters. I’ve turned the work email account off for now as it was impacting on my personal email accounts, but I’m still receiving the pop-up message to change the pass code. Any ideas other than deleting my work email account?
Cheers PaloUK

I've noticed this as well on R2.2 the past week... seems to come and go. Thank goodness it has not shown its ugly head the past 4-days. I've also noticed a lot of can't connect to server msg's and pw being incorrect in R2.2

I keep getting a pass code required message on my iPad?? Is this a bug or is there a way to fix?

It is not a bug.  You or someone else set up a passcode on the iPad.  If it's forgotten, here's how to recover:

  • HT5834 I received a message saying I must change my iCloud Keychain pass code due to changes in the server. Is this correct? Or is it a scam?

I received a message saying I must change my iCloud pass code keychain due to changes in the server. Is this a hoax?

Dang! And if I already did before thinking it might be a scam, what can I do about at this point? I did just reset my password again after realizing it might be a scam, but is that sufficient and is there anything else I should look into to see if any damage was already done? Thanks.

  • How to I get my pass code to change my "restrictions"?

My iPad doesn't recognize my pass code since the first iOS update . Every time I update my pad, it doesn't recognize the 4number pass code. How can I get in to change & how do I prevent from happening again?

Your title asks about the restrictions passcode.  Is that what you are asking about?
    If so:
If you lose or forget your Restrictions passcode, you will need to perform a factory restore to remove it.
If you are talking about the standard four digit device passcode:

  • I forgot my iPod pass code how do I change it using my iPad

I forgot my iPod pass code how do I change it without my PC since it broke

If you don't have access to a computer
If you are using Find My iPhone, you can use Remote Wipe to restore your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode.
You need to download the FindMyiPhone app and install on iPad and wipe the iPod fia that app. Then setup the iPod via wifi

  • I needed to reset my iPod touch because my pass code was changed and I didn't know what it was, but now iTunes wont let me restore it what do I do?

Please help me!! I needed to reset my iPod touch because my pass code was changed and I didn't know what it was, but now iTunes wont let me restore it what do I do?

You'll need to connect it to the iTunes library you normally sync it with and restore it.  If iTunes asks you for this passcode before it will let you proceed, connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode instead using the instructions in this Apple support document.

  • HT201304 I forgot my restriction pass code , how do I retrieve it or change it?

I have forgotten my restrictions pass code.  How do I retrieve my pass code or how can I change it.  Thanks

There is no way to retrieve it. You have to restore to factory settings.
Restoring from a backup will simply restore the restrictions passcode that you cannot remember - unless in the unlikely event that you have a backup that predates the restrictions passcode, then you could restore from that backup.

  • HT1414 I have an iPod touch and it says iPod Is disabled connect to iTunes, but it's green across the too instead of red. When I connected to iTunes a message appeared and said iTunes cannot find device must have a pass code to register to iTunes. What ca

MY iPod touch says iPod I'd disabled, connect to iTunes, but it is green at the top instead of red. It won't allow me to slide bar to open screen or nothing. I tried to connect to iTunes and a message appears and says iTunes cannot find my device must have pass code to continue. But I can't do anything on the iPod at all. What can I do to fix this?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • I ppearshave an error message "connect to itunes" this happened after i set my pass code.

.n error message appears on my ipad.  " Ipad disabled connect to itunes"  This happened after attempting to use a pass code.  How do I restore this or overide this?

From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad.
Others have reported difficulties with this procedure in that the Restore requires the password!  Post back if that happens.

  • HT201365 How do I change settings so I do not have to enter pass code all the time?

How do I change sttings so I do not have to enter pass code all the time?

The passcode is a key security feature to ensure that nobody has access to your device and data without you entering the passcode in. You can only have the option to have it on or off so if you wish to disable it then go to "settings>general>passcode lock" to do this.
