Pass data from BSP to WebDynpro Abap

Hi,
Can anyone pls tell how to pass the data from BSP to WD4A Application.
I am trying to call the WDA URL using the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES in BSP,but it is giving a run time error.
How to call the WDA URL from the classes in BSP & not using iFrame ?
Thanks,
Krishna

Hi Raja,
Can u pls tell the class which the object navigation->goto_page( url ) refers to.
My main requirement is to call the WDA URL from a class in BSP Application.
Since there is no GUI connection i'll be not able to use class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.
So i need a class which will call URL before passing data.
Thanks for the same,
Regards,
Vamsi.

  • Retreival of Dynamic Table Datas from Adobe to WebDynpro- ABAP

    Dear Friends,
    I have Developed an application in Webdynpro-ABAP, where i have integrated Adobe form in the webdynpro.
    In the adobe form, dynamic table is there where we can add and delete the rows at runtime.
    I am trying to retreive the table datas at runtime from the adobe.
    I can able to retreive only the first record from the table, even if the table contain more than one rows.
    As per the below code i have retreived the count, where it is showing the count as 1.
    using the method get_static_attributes_table i am trying to fetch all the records, but i can able to retreive only the first record.
    lo_nd_zsm_fm_transport_tra = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_zsm_fm_transport_tra ).
      lo_nd_tr_details_i = lo_nd_zsm_fm_transport_tra->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_tr_details_i ).
    count = lo_nd_tr_details_i->GET_ELEMENT_COUNT( ).
    elems_bank_table = lo_nd_tr_details_i->get_elements( ).
    lo_nd_tr_details_i->get_static_attributes_table(
      importing
        table = ls_tr_details_i ).
    Even Cardinality i have maintained as 1.N for the node.
    Kindly provide me the solution.

    Hi, I have solution for read data from dynamic table and add these added row to WD4A context (and then save them to DB) (in ONACTIONPROCESS_SUBMIT event):
    DATA: l_fp TYPE REF TO if_fp.
    l_fp = cl_fp=>get_reference( ).
    DATA: l_pdfobj TYPE REF TO if_fp_pdf_object.
    l_pdfobj = l_fp->create_pdf_object( ).
    l_pdfobj->set_document( pdfdata = lv_pdfsource ).
    l_pdfobj->set_extractdata( ).
    l_pdfobj->execute( ).
    DATA: pdf_form_data TYPE xstring.
    l_pdfobj->get_data( IMPORTING formdata = pdf_form_data ).
    DATA: converter TYPE REF TO cl_abap_conv_in_ce, formxml TYPE string.
    Converter = cl_abap_conv_in_ce=>create( input = pdf_form_data ).
    Converter->read( IMPORTING data = formxml ).
    TYPE-POOLS: ixml.
    DATA: l_ixml TYPE REF TO if_ixml.
    l_ixml = cl_ixml=>create( ).
    DATA: streamfactory TYPE REF TO if_ixml_stream_factory,
    istream TYPE REF TO if_ixml_istream.
    streamfactory = l_ixml->create_stream_factory( ).
    istream = streamfactory->create_istream_string( formxml ).
    DATA: document TYPE REF TO if_ixml_document.
    Document = l_ixml->create_document( ).
    DATA: parser TYPE REF TO if_ixml_parser.
    parser = l_ixml->create_parser( stream_factory = streamfactory
                                               istream = istream
                                               document = document ).
    Parser->parse( ).
    the code above allows you to read xml data from pdf file, then you need only to read xml and adding rows to your context:
    data : item type string.  DATA: nodechild TYPE REF TO if_ixml_node,
            Childschild TYPE REF TO if_ixml_node.
        data: num_of_children type i,
              x type i,
              y type i,
              num_of_attribute.
    node = document->find_from_name('ZAM_PROTSTROJF').
    num_of_children = node->num_children( ).
    nodechild = node->get_first_child( ).
    data: wa_strojdetail type ZAM_PROTSTROJF,
          wa_strojdetail_tab TYPE TABLE OF ZAM_PROTSTROJF.
    wa_strojdetail-docnum = ls_zam_protstroj-docnum.
    wa_strojdetail-bukrs = 'VVS'.
    wa_strojdetail-mandt = sy-mandt.
    y = 1.
    do Num_of_children times.
           num_of_attribute = nodechild->num_children( ).  " Childschild->num_children( )." Getting the number of attributes
           Childschild = nodechild->get_first_child( ).
           wa_strojdetail-itemnum  = y.
           x = 1.
           do num_of_attribute times.
              item = Childschild->GET_value( ).
              CASE x.
                WHEN 4.
                  wa_strojdetail-anln1 = item.
                WHEN 5.
                  wa_strojdetail-anln2 = item.
                WHEN 6.
                  wa_strojdetail-bubtr = item.
                WHEN 7.
                  wa_strojdetail-belnr = item.
              ENDCASE.
              Childschild = Childschild->get_next( ).
              x = x + 1.
          enddo.
          y = y + 1.
          APPEND wa_strojdetail to wa_strojdetail_tab.
          nodechild = nodechild->get_next( ).
    enddo.
    This is complete solution for adding rows in interactive forms and working with them in WD4A!

  • Passing data from BSP back to CIC0 via Actionbox

    Hello experts,
    I could use some help with the actionbox configuration of the IC Winclient.
    In CIC0, I use an actionbox to launch a BSP application for creating a businesspartner. When this businesspartner is created, I would like to pass the businesspartner number back to the businesspartner field in the Interaction Centre.
    For this, I took a look at the page 'CIC enabled HTML pages' on help.sap.com (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/de/5f41373530f00fe10000009b38f889/frameset.htm), but I can't get it to work properly.
    I created a test BSP with a HTML form in it, with the action explained in the page above. I also added output parameters to the HTML configuration, and put the value of this output parameter in the BUS1006 object, the BUS1006005 object and the businesspartner field in the structure that is on screen in CIC0. However, I never got the value in the businesspartner field on screen.
    When debugging the handlers, I could see the value of my output field in a table with parameters, so the data gets transferred to the system.
    Has anyone got this working before, or does anyone know what I'm missing?
    Regards,
    Durk

    the code you have to write in your ITS template to call the BSP would be something like below.
    < s cript>
    function getName(param){
        var url = "/sap/bc/bsp/sap/myapp/data.xml?something=" + param;
        req = new Activ eXObject("Micro soft.XMLHTTP");
        if (req){
            req.onready statechange = processReqChange;
            req.open("GET", url, true);
            req.send();
        else{
            al ert("Failed to Create XML Request Object.");
    function process ReqChange(){
        if (req.readyState == 4){
            if (req.status == 200){
                var response;
                response = req.responseXML;
                ale rt(response);
                itsfieldname.value = resp onse.getElem entsByTag Name("XMLELEMENTNAME")[0].firstChild.data;
    < /sc ript>

    Two possible options, not sure however how this will work in practice.
    1. use the URL and pass additional parameters (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/7b/fb57412df8091de10000000a155106/content.htm)
    2. If in portal, do via portal eventing (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/f6/7d6f4151dc5758e10000000a1550b0/content.htm)

  • Passing data from one bsp application to another

    Hi,
    I have few queries that most of you would have done in ur projects:
    1. I want to pass data from one bsp application to another:
    eg based upon selected row of table view which populates material no and descriprion to another application which open the entire material master data.
    Now, i have both the pages in diff bsp applications in place but unable to pass the selected material code to the second bsp application.
    Had it been two different pages of same application I was able to achieve it with set parameter()
    2. To stop the application from reprcessing the data:
    eg: Suppose I have a bsp page where user fill details of a customer and on submitinng the details a customer is created in background and the entire page is disabled by my code. Even now if the user press refresh (F5) button then another customer gets created in the background. So basically i want to avoid the reprocess of the onSubmit event
    Few lines of sample code would be very helpful.

    If you choose the second alternative you should erase these global variables after the second form is opened
    You can erase the global variable using:
    erase('global_var')

  • Passing data from JAVASCRIPT to SAP database

    Hi Experts,
    Is it possible to connect or access RFC function module through JAVASCRIPT? I want to send data from JAVASCRIPT to SAP database table.
    Is it possible to pass data from JAVASCRIPT to SAP database table?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Arindam Samanta.

    OData services can be one option to achieve this.
    Another possibility can be use of Generic REST enablement with SAP NetWeaver Gateway.
    If you are not considering Gateway at all, then  A JSON adapter like the one mentioned in JSON Adapter for ABAP Function Modules can be handy.

  • Advantages of BSP over Webdynpro ABAP

    Hi,,
    Can anyone please explain what are the advantages of BSP over WebDynpro ABAP, In what cases do we need to stick with BSP?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    There is a SAP web GUI map and it contains different technologies as follows:
    If you have the SAP screen already available , then the best solution would be to go for the ITS solution(Web Gui).
    But if you were to compare the man days required to code a dynpro and a web dynpro screen from scratch then they would approximately be the same.
    Yes if you want to leverage on Web Dynpro you will have to currently code all screen from scratch , and encapsulate your backend logic as function modules.
    Apart from BSP you have the option to use Portal Development Kit (if you have SAP EP in your landscape) . JSPHTMLB(tag libraries)JCO running on WAS 6.2 or 6.4 or other Java server.
    If you have just one screen and currently dont have the WAS 6.4 in your landscape and it would involve delays interms of procurement , setup and training, then its better you go with either of the above solutions depending on the skillsets in your team.
    If you can make an FM of your trx, the BSP solution might be the easiest step. No additionial knowledge (except from some HTML(B)) is needed.
    Advantages of web dynpro:
    Additionally,
    I would say if you would want a quantum leap in advantages by preferring a UI solution , then it has to be webdynpro be it ABAP or Java.
    Some of the features that I have heard about and noticed as well is
    -> Metadata based which means tomorrow SAP could easily support a new client without you not requiring even to change a line of code.
    -> Support for Java gui and Win gui for web dynpro coming up(over http)
    -> More professional UI and flicker free
    -> Faster development time when compared to BSP or JSP
    -> Future proof
    Disadvantages:
    On the down side
    -> You loose control on so many things that you took for granted in web programming such as javascript support, DHTML
    Hope this will help you.
    Cheers,
    Darshna.

  • How to pass data from one internal session to another internal session

    hi all sap experts ,
    How to pass data from one internal session to another internal session and from oneExternal session to another external session.
    Except : Import and Export parameters and SPA/GPA parameters.
    Tell me the otherWay to pass data ..
    Plz
    Thanks in advance

    hi,
      abap memory management u will understand about this concept.
    the import /export parameter will help u that passing data between two internal sessions by using abap memory.
      for syntax
    Passing Data Between Programs
    There are two ways of passing data to a called program:
    Passing Data Using Internal Memory Areas
    There are two cross-program memory areas to which ABAP programs have access (refer to the diagram in Memory Structures of an ABAP Program) that you can use to pass data between programs.
    SAP Memory
    SAP memory is a memory area to which all main sessions within a SAPgui have access. You can use SAP memory either to pass data from one program to another within a session, or to pass data from one session to another. Application programs that use SAP memory must do so using SPA/GPA parameters (also known as SET/GET parameters). These parameters can be set either for a particular user or for a particular program using the SET PARAMETER statement. Other ABAP programs can then retrieve the set parameters using the GET PARAMETER statement. The most frequent use of SPA/GPA parameters is to fill input fields on screens (see below).
    ABAP Memory
    ABAP memory is a memory area that all ABAP programs within the same internal session can access using the EXPORT and IMPORT statements. Data within this area remains intact during a whole sequence of program calls. To pass data to a program which you are calling, the data needs to be placed in ABAP memory before the call is made. The internal session of the called program then replaces that of the calling program. The program called can then read from the ABAP memory. If control is then returned to the program which made the initial call, the same process operates in reverse. For further information, refer to Data Clusters in ABAP Memory.
    Filling Input Fields on an Initial Screen
    Most programs that you call from other programs have their own initial screen that the user must fill with values. For an executable program, this is normally the selection screen. The SUBMIT statement has a series of additions that you can use to fill the input fields of the called program:
    Filling the Selection Screen of a Called Program
    You cannot fill the input fields of a screen using additions in the calling statement. Instead, you can use SPA/GPA parameters. For further information, refer to Filling an Initial Screen Using SPA/GPA Parameters.

  • How to pass data from one internal session to another

    Hi SAP Experts,
    How to pass data from one internal session to another and from One external session to another external session. I used import and export parmeter and SPA/GPA parameters. What is the other way to pass data?
    Please tel me urgently
    Thank you
    Basu

    Memory Structures of an ABAP Program
    In the Overview of the R/3 Basis System you have seen that each user can open up to six R/3 windows in a single SAPgui session. Each of these windows corresponds to a session on the application server with its own area of shared memory.
    The first application program that you start in a session opens an internal session within the main session. The internal session has a memory area that contains the ABAP program and its associated data. When the program calls external routines (methods, subroutines or function modules) their main program and working data are also loaded into the memory area of the internal session.
    Only one internal session is ever active. If the active application program calls a further application program, the system opens another internal session. Here, there are two possible cases: If the second program does not return control to the calling program when it has finished running, the called program replaces the calling program in the internal session. The contents of the memory of the calling program are deleted. If the second program does return control to the calling program when it has finished running, the session of the called program is not deleted. Instead, it becomes inactive, and its memory contents are placed on a stack.
    The memory area of each session contains an area called ABAP memory. ABAP memory is available to all internal sessions. ABAP programs can use the EXPORT and IMPORT statements to access it.
    All ABAP programs can also access the SAP memory. This is a memory area to which all sessions within a SAPgui have access. You can use SAP memory either to pass data from one program to another within a session, or to pass data from one session to another. Application programs that use SAP memory must do so using SPA/GPA parameters (also known as SET/GET parameters). These parameters are often used to preassign values to input fields. You can set them individually for users, or globally according to the flow of an application program. SAP memory is the only connection between the different sessions within a SAPgui.
    The following diagram shows how an application program accesses the different areas within shared memory:
    In the diagram, an ABAP program is active in the second internal session of the first main session. It can access the memory of its own internal session, ABAP memory and SAP memory. The program in the first internal session has called the program which is currently active, and its own data is currently inactive on the stack. If the program currently active calls another program but will itself carry on once that program has finished running, the new program will be activated in a third internal session.
    Data Clusters in ABAP Memory
    You can store data clusters in ABAP memory. ABAP memory is a memory area within the internal session (roll area) of an ABAP program and any other program called from it using CALL TRANSACTION or SUBMIT.
    ABAP memory is independent of the ABAP program or program module from which it was generated. In other words, an object saved in ABAP memory can be read from any other ABAP program in the same call chain. ABAP memory is not the same as the cross-transaction global SAP memory. For further information, refer to Passing Data Between Programs.
    This allows you to pass data from one module to another over several levels of the program hierarchy. For example, you can pass data
    From an executable program (report) to another executable program called using SUBMIT.
    From a transaction to an executable program (report).
    Between dialog modules.
    From a program to a function module.
    and so on.
    The contents of the memory are released when you leave the transaction.
    To save data objects in ABAP memory, use the statement EXPORT TO MEMORY.
    Saving Data Objects in Memory
    To read data objects from memory, use the statement IMPORT FROM MEMORY.
    Reading Data Objects from Memory
    To delete data clusters from memory, use the statement FREE MEMORY.

  • Problem in passing data from one .jsp page to another .jsp page

    i have a problem here
    Actually i have 2 jsp pages. What im trying to do here is actually i want to pass data from the first jsp page to the second for updating
    The first jsp page contains data that user wants to update in the form of table.
    <td><img src = "edit.gif" alt = "edit" border="0" ><td>
    <TD><%= Name %></td>
    <TD><%= rs.getInt("Age") %></td>
    <TD><%= rs.getString("Gender") %></td>
    So this page displays the data that users wants to update plus one image button (edit button). So when user clicks this button, all the data in this page will be brought to the second .jsp page called updatePersonal for updating.
    The problem here is that it is not displaying the existing data in the second .jsp page.
    The second page basically contains forms
    <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="FirstName" maxlength="30" value = "<%=FirstName%>">
    Can someone please help me. I really dont know what to do..How do i get the data displayed in the text field that is passed from the first .jsp page..thankx in advance

    Please modify below code to:
    td><img src = "edit.gif" alt = "edit" border="0" ><td>
    -----------------modified code
    td><a href="updatePersonal.jsp?FirstName=<%=rs.getString(FirstName")%">&LastName=<%=rs.getString("LastName")%>&Age=<%=rs.getInt("Age")%>&Gender=<%=rs.getString("Gender")%>"><img src = "edit.gif" alt = "edit" border="0" ></a><td>
    I'm sure it works</a>

  • How can I pass data from a form guide to another form in a business process

    How do we pass data from a form guide to another form(not necessarily a guide) without having to open the form. For example we have a small form guide to capture the contract id so we can then get data from contracts table to present to the user in a form. We want the user to open the guide (either Flex guide or form guide) to enter the contract id. Upon submission we want the process to get the contract data and put it into the form that will be opened at the next step by the user without having a user interact with the form to get the data into it. In other words we need the process to get the data and populate a different form than the form guide the contract id was entered in and this new form needs to be opened in the next step by the user.

    Firstly, I'm assuming that you have a Forms ES Server if you are rendering a Guide.  This could be either version ES1, ES2/2.5 or ES3/ADEP
    If you submit the form back to the server, you can populate a second (PDF/XDP) form with the data bound to the same schema/Data Model using Forms ES.
    You referred to the next user in the chain - If you are using Process Management, this is very easy, as you define what form is used to render the data in the "Presentation & Data" section of the Assign Task activity

    Certainly it is unusual that you can still see the tables available in your MS Access database but cannot see the columns? I am assuming you are configuring an Open Statement step and are trying to use the ring-control to select columns from your table?
    Can you tell me more about the changes you made to your file when you 'changed' it with MS Access? What version of Access are you using? What happens if you try and manually type in an 'Open Statement Dialog's SQL string such as...
    "SELECT UUT_RESULT.TEST_SOCKET_INDEX, UUT_RESULT.UUT_STATUS, UUT_RESULT.START_DATE_TIME FROM UUT_RESULT"
    Is it able to find the columns even if it can't display them? I am worried that maybe you are using a version of MS Access that is too new for the version of TestSt
    and you are running. Has anything else changed aside from the file you are editing?
