Hi everyone,
Somehow I seem to have two Skype names registered to the one email address. Let's call them "One" and "Two". I'm trying to access account One, but there seems to be a password issue. When I go through password recovery, I get sent an email from Skype regarding resetting my password for account Two. I'm not interested in account Two, only account One.
What's the deal with this! How can I retrieve my password?!

Hi, Shawnspider, and welcome to the Community,
First thing: change your e-mail account's password.
Secondly, assume control of the other account which you did not create by changing that account's password.
Then, you can 'delete (remove) the Skype account' which you did not create by clicking on that link, which will take you to Skype Customer Service to complete the process.
If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also impede reaching an agent.

On September 14, I started getting emails from Skype in Hungarian. I translate the message, it says
Welcome (someones username),
You have a new voice message!
All the links in the the email look legit, they all go to the skype.com root domain or subdomain of skype.com. The message also says to log into skype to listen to the message.
The username in the email is not mine. If I search for the username, it looks like it is a real account.
How is it possible for someone to sign up to skype with an email address already being used for skype, or how is it possible for someone to change their email address without confirming it is their email address?
This is a security problem... I could probably reset this users password right now.
How do I fix this?

You don't need two accounts. Just use the same one.
If you need two accounts then get one of the free one available, hotmail, yahoo, gmail, and so forth.

I am a newbie so I hope this question makes sense to someone out there. When I purchased an ipod for my daughter several years ago, I opened her account with my email address because she was so young at the time. I now have an ipad for myself and we are arguing over whose account it is. You need to be in a country to use its store, so you can't buy content from the French store unless you are in France with a France billing address on your account. You can try requesting that the music be added to the Canadian store, but unless the record company/rights-holder agrees to it then Appl won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

My son while home on leave from the coast gaurd, set up his ipod using my email account as his log in. I since bought an ipod and set up an account using my email, not knowing he had used my id, and email, so I changed the password. How can we get one or the other off the account, As he is on his ship trying to get into the istore, and does not know why his password does not work. I can't get a message to him to tell him what is going on that we both have the same log in name. So if she changes the password, then it locks me out. So I need to change something here in Texas, Any suggestions

I need to change my apple id email but when i try to it says "already an apple id" I went to the old id and tryed to delete it but i saw you cant delete an id .so now i'm stuck with ,my normal id with all my data and old email, and an old one with no data with my new email so i need any way to use my normal id with my new email unless i can transfer all my data from one account to another?

Absolutely. Although you can only have one primary iCloud account, you'll need to add secondary accounts from system preferences > mail, contacts & calendars.

You cannot merge Apple IDs but you can go to Settings > iCloud and 'Delete Account'. When prompted to turn off documents and data, choose the only option which is Delete from my iPhone, but on the other prompt for Contacts, Calendars, etc you can choose 'Keep on my iPhone' Then once the Account is Deleted form the iPhone, log back in with the correct Apple ID and choose Merge when prompted. This will merge your data from this iPhone with that iCloud account effectively putting your devices on the same account.

All apps include DRM protection that is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps. When there is an app update that was downloaded with the shared Apple ID, that Apple ID and password must be used to download the update.

You have no idea how happy i would be to be proved wrong on this .. there are loads of posts in the discussion forums saying its impossible. If you can point me to where we are going wrong it would be very much appreciated. This is what we have tried ...
1. Create a 2 iTunes libraries on a single computer login (switching with the ALT key when starting itunes)
2. Create a new user account on the computer, create an iTunes library on each individual login.
In each scenario, the same thing happens. We can
- Start iTunes in the right library
- Log in to the iTunes store etc with each account.
The problem comes as soon as you try to download a purchased item, ie if I buy a song on my iPhone then try to down load it from the "purchased items" of iTunes account it was purchased under. iTunes gives a message saying that if i download something bought under iTunes Account 2, iTunes account 1 will be disabled from downloading or auto-download for 90 days as "this computer is already associated with an Apple ID"
Should probably have put this into the origianl post for clarity, apologies. i didnt really mean "logged in", we can log in to each iTunes account from the different libraries, but we can use the purchasing or download functionality - hopefully this makes more sense.
If you know how to set this up properly, it would be amazing if you could share it here?

I would really love some help with this; I've been banging my head against the wall trying to achieve something that is seemingly so simple and basic.
We want to use an Email app that will allow us to encrypt only ONE email folder. Access to the rest of the email should be open to all users of the computer, just the one folder needs to be encrypted or password protected. Apparently this is not possible in Outlook, because in Outlook for Mac all of the folders are now integrated into one database and so cannot be encrypted individually as they can on PC.
Does anyone have any suggestions of how to achieve this? I am considering using Mac's Mail, but can't find Mail file structure on my Lion machine to see if I can access the individual mailboxes separately. Does anyone know where to find Mail's folder structure? I looked in the Library but found nothing for Mail, as it used to be in previous OSs.
Am open to third party software work arounds, other email clients, whatever. I would really appreciate any suggestions!

It's located in your user Library folder which is now normally hidden in Lion.
In the Finder hold down the option key to reveal the Library folder and select Go>Library>Mail and you find the Mail files.

Why does it say More. . . in email address line when there is only one email address?

When receiving an email, why does it say 'More. . .' in the To email address line when there is only one email address? It looks like there is more than one recipient when there is actually just one.

Have you rebooted since the deletions. That will empty a number of caches and may restore the freed up space. Also open the iPhoto Library package with the Finder as shown in this screenshot
locate the iPod Photo Cache folder and delete its contents. Make no other changes to the contents of the iPHoto LIbrary Package.
