Pass URL to servlet

Question

Hi,
I am new to servlet . I am facing a small issue. I have to pass the url to the servlet. For Example: if user clicks http://myservername:7001/QbpmWeb/servlet/imageServlet?taskInstanceId=304
then in the servlet, i need the myservername and port number. How to get the info?

what application server you are using?
if its tomcat, it includes some nice examples in there.
out.println("Request URI: " + request.getRequestURI());will output
/servlets-examples/servlet/RequestInfoExample
to get additional info you can use this
