Passcode only has 'immediately' option
I've searched online about this issue - my iPhone 4 only only has the option to either turn the passcode off, or else have it set to 'immediately' - and apparently it's a fault related to Google mail.
Does anyone know the status of this issue? Is anyone working on it?
I have deleted my Gmail exchange accounts from the iPhone and it still only has either the 'off' or 'immediately' settings for Passcode.
True, normally there but since Google allows Exchange like support they can push server settings for security like Exchange admins can do for phones that touch corporate Exchange servers.
Due to this Google can alter what options are available.

Saw something mentioned you can change your settings on gMail itself that will then allow changes on the phone.

help! imovie media browser only has one option, "Mobile". other videos had option for medium and small. mobile option wont import into iDVD. other videos gave me the Medium option, why not this one? need answers ASAP!
That is your answer then.
Large is 960x540
Medium is 640x480 (or 720x480)
Mobile is probably 480x272.
It is offering you the sizes that make sense given the size of your source material.
As a trick, you might try this. In your project, put a short 640x480 clip in the project as the first clip of the project. Then keep the rest of the project as is. See if it will let you share now in Medium. It will not look as good, because there are not enough pixels to cover the Medium size, but it might work. -
Brand new Mac, had to erase drive through disk utility as time machine back up failed on initial setup, USB cable popped out Now can only access disk utility as won't load to log in screen. The only has the option in disc utility is to re-install Mountain Lion which my Mac won't allow or loading another time machine back up but after an hour of it processing, that didn't resolve the issue either! The time machine back up is the latest back up of my Mac Book Pro which was using OS X Maverix. I'm guessing I'm going to have to take my Mac to the store but that would be a hassle so does anyone have any ideas?
Follow this guide using another Mac.
Insert your newly created Mavericks USB into you Mac, press the power button and then hold down 'option,' until it gives you an option to boot from the USB. You will then be able to erase the internal disk with Disk Utility and reinstall Mavericks straight after.
After that you should be able to use Migration Assistant to restore your applications and user data. -
Replacement iPhone only has EJECT option. I cannot restore.
I have a Verizon iPhone4 running 4.2.10 that has a microphone problem. I have received a replacement phone, and am attempting to backup/restore to the new phone.
Following the Verizon instructions and backed up my original phone. Plug in the new phone, which shows up at "iPhone" in iTunes. My only option when I mouse over "iPhone" is "Eject".
Regarding the new iPhone, I have gone through the setup questions, added in my wireless network, and am getting an activation error. (server unavailable).
I have updated iTunes, but have NOT updated my old phone to os5 - I don't know if this is creating an issue.
I am confused on what to do next. Any help appreciated. Unfortunantly, I have lost my voice due to sickness, so calling a help line is not the best option for me right now.Hi I had the same problem ,

The school district "UPGRADED" to the new operating system. iWeb, which I have been using for years, no longer supports my ability to publish to the district server. Apple thought it wise to force us to use MobileMe. Furthermore, Apple decided that MoblieMe is no longer unavailable. To add insult to injury, the new version of iWeb doesn't even have a "save to folder" option any more. In other words, I can no longer use iWeb.
Am I totally screwed?
Is there another way to publish my site?
Will Apple make me purchase yet another "upgrade"?
Is this a total rip off?

ps. As a loyal Apple customer (since 1982), I find these antics very frustrating.I suggest you upgrade to the latest iWeb version while copies are still availalbe: iLife '11 - Apple Store (U.S.). That's because it's now confirmed that iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
In addition the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on.
HOWEVER, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still currently available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those copies still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

We have had the same issue in the past (but then with BO version 6.5) and is was due to not performing the installation of deski completely. In our case the 'Generic ODBC' (which is used for the universe connection) was not selected to be installed during installation. After the universes were retrieved from the repository database only the 2 operators where visible.
Solution: throw away the local stored universes, check and correct the installation of deski and re-import the universes again.
Now remember that this was with BO version 6.5, but it might well be the same problem with XI3.1.

I can't seem to download the new version
Click on Save File. Then click on the Tools menu at the top of the page and click on Downloads. When the file finishes downloading, double click it to being the installation.

everything was working fine until we added a new itunes card, also, we are able to watch youtube, internet, but just not able to download anything from the app store due to this "security info" page.. someone please help my children want to use their new itunes cards.. thank's
Honesty just send it to Apple or take it into a Apple store, it may seem like a pain but its worth it plus you wouldnt want to damage it farther.

Mac Reinstaller only has option to reinstall OSX mountain lion, but...
My harddrive crashed, trying to use reinstaller on wiped hard drive, but Mac reinstaller only has option to install Mountain Lion 10.8, but i was using Lion 10.7.4. How can i purchase mountain lion or just restore the version of osx i have paid for>
Did your system come preinstalled with Lion? If so, you should be able to do Internet Recovery to redownload/install Lion (assuming that's the OS X you want back on). Restart your MBP and press/hold the COMMAND + R + OPTION keys. Make sure you have a WiFi or ethernet connection to the internet. Internet Recovery will boot to the Apple server's Recovery HD and present you with the same OS X Utilities menu as ML but with the option to reinstall Lion instead of ML.
If you want to just redownload/install ML, you mentioned your Mac reinstaller only has the option to install ML 10.8. Use that to reinstall ML; then you can use Software Update to update it to 10.8.2. -

My 5s seems to have a default of immediately but no other options are listed.
Ideas? ThanksIf you are using Touch ID "Immedeatly" is the only option for requiring a passcode.

I am using duel thunderbolt displays with a MacBook Pro. I only have the option to have sound come from one or the other. Has anyone thought of making the left channel come from both speakers on the left Monitor and the same of the right? If yes, how is that done? The MacBook Pro could even be a center channel if configured in that order.

Why is How I Met Your Mother Season 3 "Episode Only" when every other season has the option to buy the entire season?
