    for passing itab from one program to another u can use
    IN FIRST PROGRAM WRITE ,
    perform pass_data(SECOND_PROGRAM_NAME) using ITAB.
    in both the program declare itab with same structure.
    if u want to do some changes in that itab and if u want it back in first program then write as
    perform pass_data(SECOND_PROGRAM_NAME) using ITAB changing itab.

       I need to pass one internal table from one program to another which i am calling using SUBMIT. Is there any way to pass this data without using export/import or selection screen.
       If i do use EXPORT is there a retriction to the maximum size i can export?

    Consider these two programs I have done using both WITH SELECTION-TABLE and IMPORT/EXPORT.
    In Program 1(ZZTEST_ARUN_1).
    I have two radio buttons. If I select Material the program executes its own code. If I select plant data is fetched and exported to memory. Then it gets the selection parameters of the Program 2(ZZTEST_ARUN_2) through the FM RS_REFRESH_FROM_SELECTOPTIONS. Then I populate the values for selection screen and pass using the
    SUBMIT....WITH SELECTION-TABLE option.

  • Best way to pass data sets to another program

    Hey
    I want to connect another (maths) program with my java application. Therefore I need to paste data (some kind of tab separated table) to this program.
    I try now to save these data in a separate newly generated file and to pass a command with Java's Runtime.exec() method to this program to read these data. Is this a good idea or might there be better ways?
    If I do so, is there a way in Java to generate some kind of a "temporary" file which will be deleted automatically after usage or is this nothing else than to save it in a common file and delete it afterwards. What's the best way to pass data generally?

    Well, the connection will not be over a network, so I'd rather think it's not a Socket or RMI problem (unless someone convinces me).
    Yes it's very external, it's a C or C++ written program, I don't have any source codes. So far I generated a file for Input command and data, I passed that on to the maths program and returned the output into another file.
    Now I would like to separate the output and like to obtain some tables and graphical things like charts at the output. Do I have to generate three different types of outputfiles? How to store some graphics e.g. some distributions. I thought even of generating a database. I never thought about XML, I don't know if this works for that kind of problem?!

    SMARTFORMS STEPS.
    1. In Tcode se11 Create a structure(struct) same like the Internal table that you are going to use in your report.
    2. Create Table type(t_struct) of stracture in se11.
    3. In your program declare Internal table(Itab) type table of structure(struct).
    4. Define work area(wa) like line of internal table.
    5. Open Tcode Smartforms
    6. In form Global setting , forminterface Import parameter define Internal table(Itab) like table type of stracture(t_struct).
    7. In form Global setting , Global definitions , in Global data define Work area(wa) like type stracture(struct).
    8. In form pages and window, create Page node by default Page1 is available.
    9. In page node you can create numbers of secondary window. But in form there is only one Main window.
    10. By right click on page you can create windows or Go to Edit, Node, Create.
    11. After creating the window right click on window create table for displaying the data that you are passing through internal table.
    12. In the table Data parameter, loop internal internal table (Itab) into work area(wa).
    13. In table there are three areas Header, Main Area, Footer.
    14. Right click on the Main area create table line by default line type1 is there select it.
    15. Divide line into cells according to your need then for each cell create Text node.
    16. In text node general attribute. Write down fields of your work area(wa) or write any thing you want to display.
    17. Save form and activate it.
    18. Then go to Environment, function module name, there you get the name of function module copy it.
    19. In your program call the function module that you have copied from your form.

  • Using Container operation step can i pass one table to another?

    hi
    i have 2 multiline container elements in the workflow.
    in one of my step i am sending email using the receipents from the table LT_RECLIST which is a multiline container. Now before this step i am using a container operation step to pass LT_RECLIST_FINAL to LT_RECLIST. But guess this is not working? is this possible?
    the condition in container operation step is like this

    any idea where i am going wrong?

    try the followinng option.
    <-    Add only to table (contents are extended)
    or you can directly use the element LT_RECLIST_FINAL in your mail step instead of assigning it to LT_RECLIST and using this element. if both the elements are going to store the same values then there is no point in using a separate element.

    i dont want to create Z structure and dont want to define table in import parameter.
    any other way out ?

    Hi Ruchi,
    The data you wanted to pass from driver program to Smartform should be defined under Global settings in Form Interface not in Global data.
    If you want to pass tables data from driver program to smartform, define a table with same structure in Form Interface of Global settings and if you wanted to export/import some values just do the same in Import/export parameters under Form Interface.
    The data you declare under Global data can be used globally in the smartform.
    eg : GT_VBAK LIKE VBAK.

    XXX is the tcode for the other program where u want to import the values.
    In the second program
    INITIALIZATION.
    IMPORT the internal table from the first program
    IMPORT final FROM MEMORY ID 'ABC'.
    Dont refesh the internal table final.

  • Passing Dynamic Internal Table values to another program

    I have a program ZSAPNEW.
    In this I have created a Dynamic internal table <fs_emp>. The number of fields differ for each run. The values are passed into <fs_emp> in this program.  Now I need to submit thsi program from a main program ZHEAD and then display the values got from ZHEAD. For this I need to access the values retrieved from ZSAPNEW in <fs_emp> in ZHEAD. I cant figure out how to do this. I tried IMPORT ing the reference of teh field symbol too/ But its not allowing references in IMPORT/EXPORT. And since the table is of type ANY( as structure varies) I cant assign it to an internal table and then pass. Can some one suggest a solution please.

  • Importing internal table from one program to another program

    Hi everybody,
    i have one small doubt.
    i am using submit statement and passing the values from this program to another program selection screen. in that program logic is written.In that program one internal table values are being exported to the memory id of that program. now i have to import that internal table values into my program by using import statement. i am using the following syntax
    import itab from menory id 'program name'.
    but i am getting an error saying program name is unknown.
