Password box keeps popping up..but can not close it?

Hi all,
So I'm using my brand new iPhone, and at various times, a password input box pops up. The problem is, when I enter what I think the password would be (didn't set one??)..it will not allow me to enter the password. The ok button is greyed out, and stays greyed out. So basically a password box just hangs there.
Any suggestions?

Well I get a voicemail password popup when I'm just trying to look at contacts. But I also get the iTunes password window come up when I tried to buy a song. It worked ok originally, but now when I enter my password, the window just sits there and the "Ok" button is grayed out. Very frustrating..not sure what's happening.

  • Password box keeps popping up-New IPAD

    Just got my new IPAD. Restored via Cloud backup. I keep getting a password box while I use the IPAD with some weird login name in the top part of it. I have to hit cancel. I have no idea how this was caused or how to fix it. Appreciate any help. This is driving me crazy. When I go to Itunes store I see a list of songs it shows purchased but that is not me. It seems to be somebody elses login. My IPAD was registered to me in all my settings so I could download my programs and such.

  • HT1918 Cant purchase a song due to password box keep popping up..

    When prompted to put my password in to buy a song it will not take my password.  It does not come up stating it was put in incorrectly and to reset .  It just keeps popping the window up to keep putting password in and will not allow me to purchase the song... Is anyone having this issue and what do i need to do to purchase music..  How do I get to my credit card information also.  I even thought maybe my card had expired and needed to update information...

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

    This could be Security Zones problem as you are accessing your IView directly through URL.

    In the iCloud pane of System Preferences, uncheck the box marked Mail and check it again.

    If the old ID is an earlier version of your new ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your new iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  You can now use your new password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
    Note: this will not work if your new ID is an entirely new ID that was never previously associated with the old email address.

    Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved. Back up all databefore making any changes.
    Step 1
    From the Calendar menu bar, select
    Calendar ▹ Preferences ▹ Accounts
    Choose the affected account from the list on the left and uncheck the box marked
    Enable this account
    Then check the box again. Test.
    Step 2
    Make a note of the account settings, then delete the account and add it back with the same settings.
    Step 3
    If you can't add the account, the settings may be invalid. Verify them. How you do that depends on what kind of account it is. If it's a Google calendar and you've activated 2-step verification, you need to generate an application-specific password in your Google account and enter it in place of your old password.
    Step 4
    Quit Calendar. Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:  
    ~/Library/Calendars/Calendar Cache  
    Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
    from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a file named "Calendar Cache" selected.
    Move the selected file to the Trash. There may be one or two other files in the same folder with names that begin in "Calendar Cache". If so, delete those files too.

    Have you tried reinstalling the original drive? Same symptoms with it?

    Oh? That's "reset youtr laptop"?
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
