Password Corrupted- Need to Reinstall App

Hi everyone. Here's the deal, in point form:
--I was using my app this morning as normal
--I was multi-tasking with my iPod
--When I switched back to my app, my password no longer worked, and still doesn't work.
So, I have a full backup of my data in iTunes, so data loss is not a concern. My question is this: how do I reinstall ONE app on my iPhone (assuming that the app is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled) and reinstall the data that is currently saved in my iTunes backup?
Thanks for your help!
G

App data is stored in only two places, on your phone and in your iphone backup. App data is not stored in itunes. You could try restoring your phone from your most recent backup, followed by syncing your itunes content back to your phone. There is no selective restore process, its all or nothing.

I don't understand the question... did you have a Cloud subscription on the computer you NOW have, and let the subscription lapse... or a subscription on a DIFFERENT computer and you want to use on a new computer?

  • Upgraded to 64-bit MBP do I need to reinstall apps to run in 64-bit?

Sorry for my ignorance on this. I was on a 32-bit first-gen MBP, just upgraded to a 64-bit MBP and chose to transfer all Settings, Users and Apps from my Time Machine backup.
Since the old machine was 32-bit will I need to re-install any 64-bit capable applications to actually run in 64-bit on my new machine or will they do it automatically?
Also, is there any way to tell what apps would be 64-bit capable if I do need to upgrade/reinstall?
    Thanks for the help guys!

No you can leave your apps alone and there is no need to worry. You can easily tell what apps are 64 bit by going to Activity Monitor (Applications-Utilities-Utility Monitor) and it will show in the column labeled Kind.
There is much confusion about the 32 / 54 bit applications. At this writing there are VERY few applications that are 64 bit and Snow Leopard boots in 32 bit. Even if you force booted in 64 bit you would NOT see any performance increase.

  • Error message - ITunes is corrupted- Need to reinstall

Has anyone received the error message "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes."?  I'm on a Mac with latest OS X (10.8.3).  I tried downloading the latest version of iTunes and rebooted computer.  Still get the same error.   Any other suggestions?  Thanks!!! - Laura

I believe that the directory on your hard drive is corrupted & Disk Utility can't repair. DiskWarrior can probably fix your problem. DiskWarrior by Alsoft

I think you are in the wrong forum.  This forum is targeted to Blackberry developers, who write programs in Java.  I think you want to ask this question in the Curve forum you will find here:

I will ask to get this moved.

Just reinstall iTunes. I done the same thing without losing my iTunes library.
BUT if you did lose your music follow through these:

  • I want to upgrade to Mavericks. Will I need to reinstall all of my apps and copy my files back to the hard drive?  I have not installed an OS on a Mac before and I'm wondering whether it is as involved as on a PC.

I want to upgrade to Mavericks. Will I need to reinstall all of my apps and copy my files back to the hard drive?  I have not installed an OS on a Mac before and I'm wondering whether it is as involved as on a PC.

Short answer: You do NOT have to reinstall all your apps and copy your files back.
Longer answer: Upgrading the OS does not touch any user files. Upgrading the OS should not interfere with any applications which are compatible with Mavericks.  In my experience non-Apple apps are generally left unchanged by the upgrade.  It is possible that some apps may need to be upgraded. One good resource for checking application compatibility is RoaringApps.
Finally, it is always wise to backup everything, just in case.

Are you SURE you need to reinstall? Often people believe this but it rarely solves anything. Does a message say you must?

Ok, when I go into my Apple ID account, everything looks right.  It does show my user name.  It's only on the iPod that it shows my husband's previous user name, and it asks for his password.  Everything in iTunes and my account looks right.  The issue only seems to be with the actual device, iPod Touch 4th gen.
There is more than one way to access the Apps Store and the iTunes store.  One is via iTunes on your computer, and the other is via the apps on your iPod.
Just because you are logged in on your computer does not mean you are logged in on your iPod.
The reason your husband's user name comes up is because he was the last one to log on.  You can change that by going to Settings>Store.  Tap the Apple ID, Tap Sign Out, Tap Sign In, Tap Use Existing Appel ID, enter your e-mail address and Apple ID password, and tap OK.

  • HT1926 I have an HP, Windows 7.  Computor says my itunes has been corrupted and I need to reinstall.  How do I do that?

I have an hp w Windows 7  Computor says that my itunes has been corrupted and I need to reinstall.  How do I do this?

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?

  • Need to reinstall system software but App Store says "downloaded."

I have been waiting for an answer from Apple support, in vain. Does anyone here know how to reinstall the system software if you don't have the disks, and the App Store says "downloaded?"
Or do I have to wait until Apple somehow wakes up and resets my purchase?
I wish they had sent me disks.. Sigh.

There are no longer any system disks, everything is downloadable now. The installer deletes itself after a successful install, so you need to save a copy before using it.
If you need to reinstall OS X you now use OS X Recovery.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
If you need to upgrade another Mac you own, then log into the Mac App Store on that Mac and download the installer to that Mac from the Purchases pane.
