I am trying to create my password file and getting the following error, any idea please.

There are no spaces around the equal-to (=) character.Does the OS user have necessary permissions to open file?

Password file auth - error ORA-01990: error opening password file '/p00/ora

Hi, Im setting up password file auth on our existing database.
Ive run this
orapwd file=orapwdt04.pwd password=secret entries=5
then set this in the .ora file
remote_login_passwordfile=exclusive
But when I restart the dabase im getting this error
ORA-01990: error opening password file '/p00/oraprod/9.2.0/dbs/orapw'
How / where do I tell the database to look for the password file.
Im running on AIX and Oracle 9.2.0.6

password filename must be in the format of orapw<sid> and location of the file $ORACLE_HOME/dbs

While iam creating Ard file there is an other named "Wrong Executable Digital Signature For Addon" while creating iam using one class file .dll which was created by me..

Usually this error occurs when we are not using the correct version of the Installer for creation of the ARD file. Use a new installer not the old one.. and check the below threads they could be of help...

Yeah I have a command cnf-file location which I set to cnf-file location tftp. But even though I did not set that command the router should use the default location which is system/ins. Bu tin my case it is giving error message without cnf file location command. Any reason why I have to use this command and what is his purpose as it has options flash or tftp?

Password Policy creation error: Incorrect Domain Name

Hi folks,
I'm getting rather strange error ("Incorrect Domain Name") while trying to create a new Password Policy in OAM to enable user account lockout. I provide a name for the Password Policy, and use simple Policy Domain I've created as "Password Policy Domain", plus some basic values. I realize it's something simple, yet I cannot figure why the domain name would be incorrect.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

In the password policy domain field you have to enter the base dn for the user to which this policy will be applied. something like ou=users,dc=company,dc=com

MY target file should have following structure.

MY content conversion is as follows.

Im getting only one first field information in target file.

I foundall fields are coming with exact length
I'm passing spaces if there is no value.
xml message is generated correctly in the sxmb_moni after mapping ..shown all the fieldsunder REC structure .
Audit log information also correct.

Hi,
Sorry, my mistake, I did not pay attention to the cloning part.
For this error, looks like the database was not cleanly shutdown before copying the files or that preclone was not run successfully. You will have to run preclone again, and shutdown the database normally, then copy the file again.

I am cloning and EBS 12.1.3 from one server to another, and when Configuring the target system database server with ''perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier'', I am getting the following error:

MOS is saying that it is due to wrong permissions on the /var/tmp/.oracle directory and we should give it the following permissions:
chmod 777 /var/tmp/.oracle
After giving those permissions and rebooting the server , and running the perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier script, I am still having the same problem:

After successfully configured the DbTier and AppsTier with their respective post clone scripts the appstier was automatically started at the end.

Analysis Services failing to Start . File system error: Error occurred during the creation of directory

Hello All,
Posting this problem here and hoping for a solution from the experts in this forum.
When i have restarted the Analysis Services , i see that it has been stopped but never started back. It fails with an error
"The SQL Server Analysis Services (MSSQLSERVER) service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."
When Checked the Event Viewer i see the following error -
The service cannot be started: The following system error occurred: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. File system error: Error occurred during the creation of directory: '\\?\E:\OLAP\MSSOLAPFactory\OlapData;M:\Test
Backup'.
I remember changing the BackupDir value of Analysis Services few days back, and i think it could have impacted. Can you please help me how can i change back the BackupDir value and have the server back?

Is this still an issue? If so, I would find msmdsrv.ini and make sure you don't have two folders listed in the BackupDir (or DataDir or TempDir). You'll have to runas Administrator to edit the msmdsrv.ini file and save changes. Once you fix that, it should
succeed.
