Password in my Yahoo Acct is incorrect. How do I change it.

On my iPad (original) the password in my Yahoo Email Acct is incorrect. How do I know???  Here is the procedure I took:  Went to  "Settings" / "Mail,Contacts,Calendars" / "Yahoo Acct" / "Account".... Name/Address is correct. Password should have 7 dots, but on iPad it shows 8. When I log into Yahoo on my computer, I use the 7 dot password and it works fine. I receive my Gmail fine, but have not received any Yahoo mail since purchasing my iPad in May of this year....... How do I correct/change it.......Thanx for your help beforehand........ 8)

I just don't understand why the new password is not being saved - and obviously neither do you. This is a copy and paste from the iPad iOS4.3 user guide.
You can sync email account settings from Mail on a Mac, and from Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 or Microsoft Outlook Express on a PC. Account settings are only transferred from your computer to iPad. Changes you make to an email account on iPad don’t affect the account on your computer.
Note: The password for your Yahoo! email account isn’t saved on your computer, so it can’t be synced and must be entered on iPad. In Settings, choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars,” tap your Yahoo! account, and enter the password.
This is where the info came from

Syncing the account from your computer isn't going to work either apparently according to the info from the user guide.
The only other things I can think to do would be to change the password on the server (webmail) and start all over again with a new password on your computer and on the iPad - or download the Yahoo mail app and try that.
