Ok I've just bought a lovely new Macbook pro, this afternoon. I'm trying toy download some software. The new Mac is rejecting my password. Can I look up what the password is on my old mac or my i-phone.
In fact to log in here I had to put in my password which has been accepted so how come it won't accept it when I try and down load some software (Adobe flash player)

The password your Mac is asking for is your Admin password. The one you setup when first setting up your computer. Has nothing to do with your Apple ID. If you didn't setup an Admin password(you should), leave the password field blank & just hit enter.

I know this has been dragging on for a long time as a topic but I have now had to reset my password twice in the last couple of weeks. No problems for a year (when I first converted to Mac) up until recently. This is happening concurrently on my Mac, iPad and iPhone. Very irritating! I have not messed around with anything; one moment it is working fine and then, for no apparent reason, my password gets rejected.
From viewing other similar threads, it would appear that nobody really knows why this is happening. The best suggestions seem to relate to it being an Apple server problem.

Tried that... Also tried sending to the original email, since I had just changed it to something recognizable a short time before. Currently failing with the email authorization on or off. Here's the latest message:

THE USER NAME IS CORRECT. I TYPED THE SAME PASSWORD . IN UPPER AND LOWER CASE) THEY WERE BOTH REJECTED.i am desperate for an answer to my question but until i can validate the question - nothing will happen.

My MSN Mail password is being rejected even though I am using the correct password.

I keep entering the CORRECT password for my MSN account which I have tied to the Mail program and it keeps rejecting. i even verified that it was working properly by going into my MSN account through Safari, signing in and retrieving (without a glitch) my e-mail...???

ATV3 Password Keeps Being Rejected

Tonight for some reason my ATV3 keeps asking me to enter my password. I enter it correctly then I get unable to login "unknown error". My iTunes on my Mac is logged in fine, just the ATV3 that keeps failing. I have 5.2.1. The box is connected via ethernet which is working as I am able to watch Netflix on the ATV3 fine.

Retried again this AM after two email responses from Apple Support that were nothing to do with the question I asked, sighhh.
Anyway, signed-in first attempt this morning so something, somewhere changed.

Looks like you are working with a vintage product and the operating system is a little outdated, which makes it harder to troubleshoot. It's possible that it doesn't support WPA (depending on the Airport card built-in). Otherwise, if you can connect via ethernet, check for software updates. It even might be as simple as restarting the computer.

Since changing to os5, some of my emails are being rejected by trend micro software

Since I have strated using os5, i have noted that some emails that i send from the phone are being rejected by Trend Micro Systems Anti Virus softeware.
These are the same email adresses that used previously with out an issue before the upgrade.

OK, I did the following:
I read and then deleted ALL the messages waiting for me at the Tiscali server using their webmail option.
This left my Tiscali in box completely empty.
To be on the safe side, I deleted all my Email Accounts on my Mac and loaded just one, the [email protected] - i.e. my Tiscali email address. I also reset and then changed the password.
I then got Tiscali tech support to reset my mailbox.
I then crossed my fingers!
I then sent myself a number of test emails, some from the Tiscali server webmail option, some from my PC laptop and some from Mail on my beloved Mac.
I can now confirm that I can send emails from my Mac using Mail but cannot download any. All that happens when I click "Get Mail" on Mail is that the program looks at the pop3 mail server at Tiscali but doesn't see the test emails that are waiting there for me to download.
Any suggestions???

For No. 2, I m seeing that the DNS name is not resolving. How can I be sure this issue is not from my side ?
For No. 3, It seems to be some problem from that domain itself, and even mails from outlook.com are being rejected.
Is there any best practice that I am missing out on ?

Check your Exchange Servers DNS settings.

Music CDs are being rejected by my PowerBook G4

I have the latest OS version, the latest iTunes, etc. I never had problems loading and playing music CDs in the past, or uploading music from my CDs to iTunes.
Last week I bought some new CDs and all are being rejected by my Mac--they make a lot of noise trying to load, and then spit back out. I tried my old music CDs, one's I have previoulsy played with no problem and loaded, and they too will not work.
The CD drive does not seem to be the problem, as data disks, sofware disks, and BURNED music CDs WILL play with no problem
Cany anyone shed some light on this? What is going on? I'd think it was the copy protect thing on some CDs, but even my old music CDs are not being accepted into my compute. Has iTunes done something to reject music CDs?

Unfortunately, that doesn't address my problem. (Fortunately, however, my problem is not as severe as the one in that link!)
My problem manifests itself as some CD's not mounting: the Superdrive spins and makes noises for a while, then ejects the CD.
As far as I can tell, this happens only with one company, and only/primarily with more recent CD's. (Not sure about this, but I think some older CD's from that company that used to work no longer work after I inserted a fairly recent CD.)
I am sure it is related to some copy-protection scheme, but I can't find any files (visible or invisible) that the CD deposited on my Mac.
Any suggestions on what to look for?
