Password keeps popping up

password keeps popping up when surfing internet, playing games, etc.

See if this makes any difference.
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
See if the password request starts popping up again. If it doesn't , then go back to Settings>Store>Sign and then sign in again.

A request for my admin password keeps popping up randomly and a symbol (5 blue circles surrounding a yellow star) will show in the dock. I haven't typed in my password, just keep cancelling it. The file is called "finish_installation". Also icon is very pixelated. It seems very suspect and I am afraid my mac has a virus?!?!?! Any one? Please help.
I can not find this file anywhere on the system after this request shows up!

    Doubtful it's malware ...
Try relaunching the Finder. Press Command + Option + Esc then select Finder in Force Quit window then click Restart.
If that doesn't help, launch the Terminal app located in HD > Applications > Utlities
Copy and paste this command into the Terminal window:
killall Dock then press Return or Enter on your keyboard.
The Dock will disappear for must a moment.
See if that made a difference.

  • My iphone 4 has become unusable because Incorrect Apple ID Password keeps popping up even though I have entered my password correctly

The message just keeps popping up and I can't do anything with the phone. It's most frustrating

If it says incorrect password the password is incorrect, even if you think it is correct. But are you sure it is asking for the password for the same account that you are entering the password for?

  • I want to download apps but my apple id passwords keeps popping up and its annoying. How do i stop that?

How do i stop the apple id password from popping up when i want to download apps ?

You don't. That is how it works. It is a verification process. Would you like anyone that picked up your phone to be able to make purchases? I don't think so.

  • Voicemail Password keeps popping up

This just began last night. At random times when I am using the iPhone it would ask for my voicemail password. I would do a soft-reset and it would still ask for it. I do not have any voicemails either.
    Any ideas?

I had the same problem when I got my 3G. I kept pressing CANCEL. I discovered that the "Enter Voicemail Password" was popping up because I had a voicemail message that was not showing up on the display. Once I entered my voicemail password, the display then showed all of the messages for each time I had been asked about the voicemail password. Since I entered my voicemail password that one time, the voicemail password message has not appeared. A friend had the same problem and solved it this way also. Hopefully, this will work for you.

  • Keychain password keeps popping out

Keychain password keep poping out every time I use something, I tried to change the password for couple of times but didn't stop, tried to delete all keychains in first aid keychain but still nothing stopped. What should I do?

At some point, you reset your keychain to default in Keychain Access. That caused your login keychain to be renamed.
    Back up all data.
In Keychain Access, delete the login keychain from the keychain list. Choose Delete References when prompted, not Delete References & Files.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    ~/Library/Keychains
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V), and press return. A folder will open. Rename the file "login.keychain" in that folder to something like "login-old.keychain". Rename the file "login-renamed.keychain" to "login.keychain".
    Back in Keychain Access, select
    File ▹ Add Keychain...
from the menu bar. Add back the file now named "login.keychain". If any of your needed keychain items are missing from it, also add back the file you named "login-old.keychain". I suggest you transfer any needed items from that keychain to the login keychain, then delete it. The transfers are made by drag-and-drop in Keychain Access. You'll need to enter your password for each item transferred.

  • KeyChain Password Keeps Popping Up

(Only) ... so far .... on my daughter's User Acoount, when she is in Safari, etc. before she can use the apllications she is trying to use, the Key Chain Password window opens up each and every time and she has to click on the cancel button each time before she can go on. Where and What neesd changing in the Preferences/ Other so this doesn't keep happening ?
    Thanks

    Hi Eric,
if you do not know the password of her keychain then there is no way to change the password. This is what makes the keychain so secure: no password - no access.
By default, both your login and your keychain password are the same. Once you log into your account the keychain is opened and all applications that need a particular password to perform their duty can automatically retrieve that password from the keychain without any user interaction.
However, once your keychain has a different password it will not open on login. The applications will still try to access the stored informations but cannot do so, without giving them the keychain password. That is why these windows pop up, asking you for the keychain's password.
So, either you come up with the correct password and then change it to one that matches your daughter's login password or you will have to delete the keychain: In Keycain Access, choose Keychain List from the Edit menu and then delete the "login" keychain. Deleting the keychain removes the keychain from the Keychains list but does not remove the keychain file from your disk. If you remember your password later, you can recover the items stored in the keychain by choosing Edit > Keychain List and adding this file.

  • Apple ID Password keeps popping up

Earlier today I had to restore my iPhone, and it screwed some stuff up.
An iCloud restore got most of it working, but a few things were wrong. My apps were out of order (not in any folders), and a couple other minor things. No big deal though.
After syncing my music back, my iPhone keeps asking for a few different Apple ID passwords...since it keeps suggesting a few different Apple IDs, I am led to believe that I have music from a few friends that I previously had authorized, but now I need to re-authorize them.
Honestly, I'd like to just get rid of those couple songs (I have too many for one or two to matter probably). How can I find a song that has a certain Apple ID? Either in iTunes or on my iPhone, I don't care.
    Thanks!

What the phone is trying to do is download some music off the cloud that's tied to these other people. Click the iTunes App and if there is a number pending in your downloads this should be the issue.
Also delete this music in your Music App. This is music that you added to your Library that was purchased by someone else not with your iPhone but it contains the info

  • The request for me to enter my master password keeps popping up constantly, even when I don't need a password.

There aren't many details other than that. As long as I am using firefox, the request for my master password just appears over and over.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account.  I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there.  On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back.  Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email.  The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

  • I'm stuck in a loop to sign into my iTunes account. I have signed out, signed back in, changed password.  The "enter password"keeps popping up

I'm stuck in the sign into itunes account loop. Have signed out, signed back in and tried changing my password.  It wont except my password.  Itunes isnt sending a wrong password error

My problems related to the log in loop have been resolved after the latest iTunes update 11.0.4 (2).
All  the suggestions from apple unfortunately did not help so I can only  assume that it was a problem with the last iTunes release and older  systems.
I would suggest others having this problem install the latest apple update (5th June) which includes an iTunes update.

  • Voicemail Password Incorrect keeps popping up!

Does anyone know how to set up a new voicemail password? a message saying incorrect password keeps popping up and it just won't cancel or accept a new one. I'm lost need help.

You can reset your voicemail password by calling AT&T (1-800-331-0500). The automated system will ask you for your mobile number. You can enter it and then press "3" for "help with voicemail" and then "3" again to have the password reset. The system will ask for your billing zip code for verification.
You should get an SMS message showing you how to choose a new voicemail password.
