Password not working and reset email fails

So for whatever reason, my apple account's password isn't working. I want to change my ID to a new email ( which I have done) but iCould will not let me delete my old account to reset to my new one without the old account's password. So went to the iforgot site to get my password but neither my birthday nor sending an email is working. It's been days since I've asked it to send me an email. I'm stuck, is there any way I can get my old account's password changed...?

I suppose you tried holding down the Sleep button alone for several seconds. If the "Slide to power off" arrow doesn't appear, you may have a bad Sleep button.
I suggest you take the iPad to an Apple Store Genius and have it checked out. If they agree it has a problem, you should get a new iPad on the spot.

I changed the main email on my Appleid a few months back. Everything worked fine until uppgrading to iOS7 on my phone. I am now unable to log into iCloud because the old email pops up and requesting password which is not working. I cannot rest the password because my old email is unvalid as I have changed network provider. The id works fine on Appstore and iTunes so its only iCloud that making trouble.
Any suggestions to remedy this problem?

I've had to reset my password 3 times in the last 3 days.
At first, I couldn't get my email. I sweated it out for 12 hours, reset my password and I was good to go again. 48 hours later, I ran into the same issue. Only problem is, not only do I get the 'Incorrect username or password' on my device, but my iCloud.com login no longer works. so now I can't read my messages on the web OR on my device/computer.
I have went to appleid.apple.com and reset my password there: no luck.
I have reset the settings on my device: no luck.
I have Erase and Installed iOS 6.1.2: no luck.
I have restored my device back to factory settings: no luck.
I have performed a DFU restore: no luck.

Starts up like the first time you buy a new Mac, but after filling in all that info again, you should have access to the computer and the other Users & files will still be there... though I was just thinking, this new User probably shouldn't be the same name as an existing one.

Trying to sign in but password not working and no e-mail re resetting

Hoping to swich to Thunderbird from BTYahoo but unable to sign in. Not getting any e-mail on BTYahoo or Windows Mail.
My computer has recently been repaired and I have lost a lot of records. I have found a list of contacts on Yahoo but can't add to it or transfer addresses to new e-mails

Do you have a name @ btinternet.com email address?
If yes, bt have moved and now you need to access bt.com http://home.bt.com/ then on the far right click on 'Email' to open the logon page.
Type your full email address and the password and click on 'Log in to email' button.
In the account on the far right will be a wheel cog icon, click on this and select 'Mail options'. A new tab opens, left menu - select 'Pop & Forwarding' and make sure 'access Bt Yahoo mail via Pop' is selected.

Apple ID password not working and can't purchase anything on App Store

I've been trying to buy different apps and everytime I put in my password and keep going with my credit card info it times out.
I finally got my iPhone 5 to sync with itunes 10.7 and now my phone won't let me finish restoring bc when I sign using my apple ID and password to finish setting up iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime it comes up with an error "Could Not Sign In The request time out."

Hi I have had nothing but problems today I think my account has been hacked. Couldn't log in to Skype on PC or iPad kept saying my password was incorrect, though same password I have always had. I changed my password by having Skype send me a new one to my email. I activated it and created new password and all good. IN the middle of a call it shut down suddenly and when I tried to log on again, it said it didn't recognise the password I only just created that had worked already. Kept trying and still nothing. So I went to create a THIRD password and now skype is saying my email address doesn't exist. I have had this account for years and they only just sent me a new password to that email address so it certainly does exist. Left for a few hours and now tried again and it says i have tried too many times today. I have actually tried to create new account to be able to use skype. Can anyone explain what is happening? I am currently scanning for viruses but i really want to be able to use my old account with all my contacts on it rather than start from scratch! My mother in law is having the same problem with her account so I wonder if it's a virus?? At the same time I have started receiving a bunch of emails from 'skype' in Chinese so I assume this is connected somehow? Please any ideas on how to fix this?!

I deleted/changed my old apple ID (from the apple webb site) and I have changed all my Apple products onto the new ID, but they all randomly ask for a password for the old ID (which now will not work and I can't change) the biggest problem is that my icloud account will not let me in to do anything.

You did the wrong things. In the future it's a good idea to remember not to do something when you don't know what you are doing and what happens when you do it.

To change the iCloud ID ("email") you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
