Password not working, reset and not working again ...

Hi I have had nothing but problems today I think my account has been hacked.  Couldn't log in to Skype on PC or iPad kept saying my password was incorrect, though same password I have always had.  I changed my password by having Skype send me a new one to my email.  I activated it and created new password and all good.  IN the middle of a call it shut down suddenly and when I tried to log on again, it said it didn't recognise the password I only just created that had worked already.  Kept trying and still nothing. So I went to create a THIRD password and now skype is saying my email address doesn't exist.  I have had this account for years and they only just sent me a new password to that email address so it certainly does exist.  Left for a few hours and now tried again and it says i have tried too many times today.  I have actually tried to create  new account to be able to use skype.  Can anyone explain what is happening? I am currently scanning for viruses but i really want to be able to use my old account with all my contacts on it rather than start from scratch!  My mother in law is having the same problem with her account so I wonder if it's a virus??  At the same time I have started receiving a bunch of emails from 'skype' in Chinese so I assume this is connected somehow?  Please any ideas on how to fix this?!

I cannot download a new Version because in my Purchased List the applicaiton (FaceTime) is still there, and because I have halted it it tells me to resume.     Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
    The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

    My daughter reset the password and then forgot it.  I tried to restore, itunes said I need update ipad software, downloaded it and then got an error 3259 network message.  Then tried a hard reset, and then another restore...nothing...still can;t get in.

    At this point, you need to do a forced recovery. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 should help you out.

    If I recall correctly, I think you have to restart the iPad in order to start all over again. There is no way to backtrack - from what I can remember.
    If you can't backtrack, and restarting the iPad doesn't work, you can always activate the iPad using iTunes on your computer.

    After allowing my iMac updating about 80 apps, the process did stop whilst installing new ver. Xcode jan. 2013 - the iMac did reset and a gray screen appears, with white letters: 0 space on Harddrive! It wasn't any sign the harddisk had not space enough, to complete the update - until the reset occours. For us and our little company a catastrophic event.
    After inserting the original Snow Lepard Install Disk, the Diskmanager shows no error. No test shows any sign of error in Software. Freeing some of the empty space shows 12,5 Gb.
    Perhaps this is a new kind of error happen with this combinations of the new versions of Apps and Xcode...?
    Perhaps it's a know problem. I will be truely happy when finding a solution in this community.

    If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up. 
    You should have a look in:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
    /Library/Extensions
    You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

    Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can assist with recovering lost answers.

  • Why can I only download 25 mb of itunes 10.6 and at 25.1 mb, it resets and starts over again????

    This is making me want to throw the iphone, the iMac, the windows pc (because it has itunes on it) and anything else related to apple into the freaking ocean and even stop eating apples.  I have been searching the web rying to find answers and always get sent to the "support" community.  Jock straps and bras are support... this community is a place for frustrated users to vent--thats it!  I never once seen anyone from apple get on here and help out.  The only support you get from apple has to be bought.  I don't even know why I am complaining about free software...IT'S FREE, hence the lack of apple support.  Oh well, I will just add the 5 minutes of wasted time I used to type this to the hours and hours of wasted time I have spent dealing with this.  I hope everyone here (besides apple "support team" has a great day, night or whatever it may be where you are.

    Had you bothered to read the terms of use that we all agreed to when signing up to post here, you would have seen explicitly that this IS a user to user technical support forum and Apple has no presence here.

  • Username and password not automatically filled in

    The problem I have with Firefox is that when I log in to one of my email services (I use two different ones).
    In the past when I opened the log-in page my login and password (saved in FF) were already filled in so I just had to click "log in" button - it still is that way on the other email service. I had it set up this way for years, since many FF versions back (I have automatic updates on in FF so it is always up to date). Recently I was changing my passwords and I got confused when updating saved password so I decided to delete saved passwords for one of the email services and just logged in typing the password in manually and clicked 'save password' when FF password manager asked me. From that point on when I open the log in page from my bookmarks, the details are not there anymore, so I have to click on 'username' field to get the autocomplete list, choose my login name (there is only one) and then the password gets filled in and I can log in, so it's not the issue of password not being saved or filled in for my login but the fact that these details are not filled in from the point I open the login page from bookmarks, like it used to be and like it still is with the other service (for which I didn't delete and re-save password).. Now this might not be a big deal you might think but it is really annoying that I have to do extra step just to log in to my email especially that I log in to it frequently during the day and that I like things to work the way they are supposed to.
    I have tried removing cookies for that website, deleting and re-saving the bookmark (with fields already filled with details), deleting all saved password for that website and saving it again and nothing seemed to help.
    I will appreciate any help if anyone has the solution. Please do not suggest alternatives like using add-ons or using email client etc.

    OK. I tested it with the name and password in the bug report.
    This looks like a problem with the submit URL.
    The form uses a submit URL action="/login.html"

    There runs a script that changes this to a secure version

    That makes the Password Manager not working properly.
    It should work if you open the login page via a secure connection https://profil.wp.pl/login.html
    You can also use the Saved Password Editor extension to edit the form and modify the submit URL to use <b>http://profil<i></i>.wp<i></i>.pl</b> to make the Password Manager work.

  • Can Apple reset and/or find Apple ID information?

    My husband and I share same iTunes account attached to the same Apple ID that he uses for iCloud.  We created another Apple ID for a 2nd iCloud for me to back up my phone.  my phone was having issues so I backed it up to the cloud and erased it back to factory.  Attempting to restore my iPhone from my icloud it seems that i remembered my iCloud ID or password, incorrectly.  I even double checked my iCloud info from settings before attempting to restore.  I didn't write it down b/c when I saw it, I was sure I had it memorized. 
      I attempted to reset my password, but seems as though the only email attached is the @me account I used for this iCloud.  And if it is working and sending a reset password email, I can't sign into the email account because I have my ID or Password incorrect!  Even the security question I'd wrong.  I got locked out of the account for 8 hours.  I called iTunes support and explained the situation, they tried havi g me do all the reset and security questions again....but like I told them I was locked out.  They told me to call back in 8 hours. I am afraid they will have me do the same things and I will just be locked out again.
    So I am not sure what to try next.   I recently upgraded my iCloud for more space also.  It seems to me Apple could access the ID we use for iTunes and see the 2 iCloud accounts and would be able to use the security info from the iTunes and my husbands iCloud that I could provide to be able to tell me if my iCloud ID is incorrect or reset my password.
    Has anyone had luck with getting back into an account? 
    I mad an appointment at the Apple Store thinking I may have better luck explaining this situation in person, do you think it would help?

    Thanks, I wasn't sure.  It just seems like support was not understanding my situation clearly.  Just kept asking for my Apple ID and to reset my password.  I will try again. Just wondering if anyone knew if this is something support had been able to solve for anyone else or give advise on how to get them to understand what I need.

    Try a Hard Reset.....
    Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds.  Ignore the swipe to turn off message.
