Password Policy creation error: Incorrect Domain Name

Hi folks,
I'm getting rather strange error ("Incorrect Domain Name") while trying to create a new Password Policy in OAM to enable user account lockout. I provide a name for the Password Policy, and use simple Policy Domain I've created as "Password Policy Domain", plus some basic values. I realize it's something simple, yet I cannot figure why the domain name would be incorrect.

In the password policy domain field you have to enter the base dn for the user to which this policy will be applied. something like ou=users,dc=company,dc=com
Check the directory profile of the user store.

Go to NetBeans Menu:
FILE / <PROJECT NAME> / Properties /
1.select the "Deploying" tab
2.Clear the "Override JAR URL to JAD " check box
3.choose "File Copy" for "Select Deployement Method:"
4.Run and thank the GOD!
Don`t Forget Your Project Address must have NO Special Carackter
if it`s directory has any special character :
1.Right Click on your project name on Project tab.It`s on left
2.Click Move Project
3.Give another address and make sure new address hasn`t any SPECIAL_CHARACTER.
4.Run and Enjoy

Sync error incorrect account name or password

I attempted to activate sync between my desktop and my Android phone today. I have used Firefox as my desktop browser for probably about a decade. I had synced this computer once before without issue to a previous phone, but I did not like the mobile app on the phone I had at the time and I deleted the sync on both devices and my account. Now, I love your mobile app for my Android phone and wanted to give sync another try.
Since I had deleted the previous account, I attempted to start from scratch today. Firefox allows me to enter an email address and password into the create an account screen without issue. Once I get to the sync screen where it says it's attempting to upload to sync, I get an error at the bottom of the screen that states "Sync encountered an error while syncing: Incorrect account name or password. Sync will automatically retry this action. [Preferences]"
I have tried to update my password, but an error comes up which says that the server rejects the password every time I attempt to update it. My email/account name for sync is "[email protected]", and I am using a password that is more than eight characters, consisting of letters and numbers. I can log into my sync account without problem, but my computer will not sync and gives the same errors every time I attempt to sync. Out of sheer frustration, I have deleted my account and tried to start from scratch over a dozen times throughout the day, and the same error always occurs. I have also cleared my internet data to see if that would correct the issue. I would really love to be able to sync my devices. I have left my sync account active in the hope that you can help me correct this problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem, but fixed it. The culprit was '''custom privacy/history settings that were set to clear saved passwords on exit''', i.e:
Options > Privacy > History > "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history" > "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings > Data > Saved Passwords
This made firefox clear all saved passwords (which is generally what I wanted, as I use LastPass for password management), including the Mozilla Services Password (which is NOT what I wanted, as I still want to use Firefox Sync).
To see if you're having the same problem:
# After setting up sync, make sure that you have two lines in Saved Passwords (which you can find under Options > Security > Saved Passwords) starting with "chrome://weave" and mentioning Mozilla Services.
# Restart Firefox and check if the Mozilla Services passwords are gone. If they are, check if you have the same custom privacy settings that I have.
For the devs: If I may suggest a solution, I would make the Mozilla Services password entries excempt from the clear-saved-passwords option. (Yes, I realize that adding exceptions to the rule, like this, is probably easier said than done.)

Windows 2003 Password Policy Ignored in Default Domain Policy

Hi there I've a problem on my DC.
i set in the "default domain policy" the settings form the policy password lenght complexity etc etc..
When i RUN Group policy modelling simulation i cannot view the settings of Windows Settings\Security Settings\account policy\password policy
the scope of the GPO is Authenticated
the GPO seems to be ignored for the security settings but not for the other parameters like kerberos security.
Any Idea to solve this issue?

What do this mean? Does this mean that we can’t see the password policy in the modeling, or that we can’t see the change we made to the password policy? Besides, were there
error messages displayed in the modeling?
In addition, we can try running the Group Policy Modeling Wizard again to see if the issue persist.

TREX Patch Installation ERROR - DNS Domain Name

Dear all,
I have been facing a problem with a TREX Installation and I would like to request your help.
After successfully installing a portal (EP 7) and a TREX instance (7.00), I encountered the following error
while trying to install the TREX patch.
The Error that pops-up is the following:
"unknown message ID (osmod.hosts.getHostByAddress2) with parameter(s): -84.-230.-250.114".
This error appears when the installation reaches the 'DNS Domain Name' step.
The installation cannot procceed without resolving this issue.
I have been trying to install patch 49, which I have successfully installed in other TREX instances so there
should be no error with the binaries.
Has anyone come across a similar situation?
I would appreciate your input on the matter

The issues that I have encountered where unrelated, otherwise I would have mentioned them for you as a clue
But what I was trying to say is that although sometimes prerequisites look OK there can be a bug or exception in the SAP coding that might cause this. Examples of these non-related issues are:
- https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1114042
and
- when using the KM Portal Drive with a description that is "to long" connection is suddenly not possible.
I therefore advise you to open an OSS message @ SAP Support.

i created 2 files :
the first : i made in it the following steps :
1- created recordset
2- dragged and dropped one field which i need to delete

The cause of your error message almost certainly lies in your second page, which has this code:

Password file creation error

I am trying to create my password file and getting the following error, any idea please.

Sync encountered an error, incorrect username or password. Changed password, updated password, still same error. How do I change username?

I am using Firefox 5 in Ubuntu 11.04 Natty. When Firefox tries to sync it gives an error; "incorrect account name or password". I went to the "change password" link, followed the emailed link, changed my password and updated the password in Sync preferences. I have done this three times but still get the incorrect account name or password error. What do I need to do now?

This happened a few days ago as well. I've read elsewhere that the problem is with their servers, not our accounts (cannot find the link now). Whenever the servers get back online, or updated, or whatever, the problem will go away. It's been taking longer than usual to get back this time, so that yellow banner at the bottom has become quite annoying.

Incorrect user name or password

My email works for almost a full day, then loses its settings and gives the error " incorrect user name or password." Re-booting doesn't correct the problem. I have deleted my mail account each evening for the last 3 days and set up a new account. It works for most of the next day and then quits again. Please help.

Adding a domain name to BC site results in Error. Cannot locate Adobe support.

Problems setting a Yosemite domain name account for Send only

What do I do in Yosemite Mail so that my DOT MAC account is IMAP, but so that I can also send email from a domain account that is a POP account at GoDaddy?
My Dot Mac / iCloud account is my primary Mail account. I also have a domain name account that I use only for sending mail. The domain name account is a POP account, not an IMAP account. The domain server (not an Apple server) forwards the email to my Dot Mac account as it comes in, but I do NOT sync mail or even pick up mail from the domain name server.
With Yosemite, Apple apparently changed the way it deals with that situation. I say "apparently" because I'm having a hard time getting help on this. Before Yosemite, I had the domain account enabled, but while there was a password for sending there was no password for picking up the domain name mail. Every once in the while over the years that setup would get flaky (as Apple made changes on its end?) but usually it worked.
I continued that setup with Yosemite, but a few months ago I started having problems. My mail worked as normally, but during the night or the morning, many messages would arrive as unread duplicates, and many emails I didn't want deleted were permanently deleted. Oddly, in addition, I had an easy time keeping the setup on my MacAir but I had a hard time keeping it on my Mac Mini, even though both have Yosemite.
I took my MacAir to an Apple genius who said the settings had changed in Yosemite. He somehow reset the account for Send Only by clicking a box. Everything worked fine for a week or so,* But then I could no longer send domain name mail, I couldn't find the setting, and I went to another Genius, who didn't know what I was talking about and who couldn't solve the problem.
I need to be able to send my domain name account without making it an IMAP account, but can't figure out how.

I've not tested it but if you simply leave the incoming mail server field in the Mail account preferences blank for that account blank but set up the outgoing server and do not check "include when automatically checking new mail" you should be able to send but not receive
OR undo the forward that you have set up from #2 to #1 and use both normally

I am able to run the report fine in BIDS in the preview window, and it deployes fine. When it goes to view the report in the browser, I get the following error. There is no domain, I am using a standalone computer with SQL Server and SSRS on
this one machine.
Can anyone point to where I might configure the permission it is looking for? thanks! Steven

Based on the error message "The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. (rsServerConfigurationError)", it seems that the Unattended Execution Account settings in Reporting Services
Configuration is not correct.
Reporting Services provides a special account that is used for unattended report processing and for sending connection requests across the network. Unattended report processing refers to any report execution process that is triggered by an event rather than
a user request. The report server uses the unattended report processing account to log on to the computer that hosts the external data source. This account is necessary because the credentials of the Report Server service account are never used to connect
to other computers. To configure the account, please refer to the following steps:
Start the Reporting Services Configuration tool and connect to the report server instance you want to configure.
On the Execution Account page, select Specify an execution account.
Type the account and password, retype the password, and then click Apply.
In addition, please verify you have access to the Report Server database by following steps:
Go to SQL Server Reporting Services Configuration Manager, make sure the configuration is correct.
Go to Database, Verify that you can connect to the database.
Make sure you are granted public and RSExecRole roles.

About ~20 hours later, this ended up solving itself. We can send email using the '.icloud' email from both the iPad and iPhone. Advise would be 'wait' before you start seeking alteranatives like yahoo, hotmail, etc. This definitely is a convenient way to keep all your 'cloud' information in a centralized place, including the common email...
