How do you stop the voice mail password pop up on the i phone 5?

Call your carrier & have them reset your voicemail. Then set such up with a password. Voicemail is a carrier feature, not a phone feature & most carriers require a password for such.

In order to reliably save the info and be able to restore at a later date, you would need to use his AppleID.
Switch to it on iTunes, back the iPad up and confirm the backup exists (Preferences / Devices), then switch to yours, wipe the iPad and start afresh. Will also wipe his apps, as they are tied to the AppleID as well.

  • Canceling Master Password pop-up gives access to protected sites?!

When I press "cancel" in the Master Password pop-up Firefox still fills the username and password of the site. How to prevent this? Win 7, FF 22.0

Ah, Solved it. It was the "Mask-Me" add-on! https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/addon/maskme/?src=search https://www.abine.com/maskme/

Ask Linksys. If you reset the extender it presumably lost the username and password it was supposed to service.  I'd just supply the name and password and move on.

Reset your password. Be sure your new one meets the requirements for length (8) and characters (at least one upper case and one number).

  • ICloud password pop ups, asking for my gmail

For the past few weeks I have been getting iCloud password pop ups when I power up my Mac Pro, asking for my password for my gmail account. I enter the correct password 3-4 times before it goes away. I have the same problem on another user login?

Contact your carrier and have them re-set your voice mail password. Once they do, you should only have to enter it once. Then you won't be prompted again.

  • My password pops up everytime I go to enter my email for logging in to a website. This is a shared computer and regardless of that, I don't want my password appearing, unencrypted.

I accidentally typed my email AND password in the email box when logging on to a website. Now my password pops up everytime I go to enter my email for this website. This is a shared computer and regardless of that, I don't want my password appearing, unencrypted. I have cleared the cache, deleted cookies, cleared history, shut down and restarted the computer. How do I keep this from automatically appearing please?

Hmmm, Norton extensions are broken again in Firefox 4.0.1. It seems that Norton didn't allow for Firefox 4.0 security updates when they updated their Firefox extension for Firefox 4.0. Norton says they'll have a fix in two weeks. A Norton user posted a fix in this forum thread.

Might try calling Apple to see if you can either get replacement originals, or Retail Tiger Disk, might have to talk to a product specialist & explain the no Disks deal.
You can check eBay, just be ertain the disks work for your particular model, many/most are machine specific.

  • Keychain password pop ups affecting functionality

I keep getting keychain password pop up requests. Tried to change password etc through utilities but computer won't let me, just get spinning color wheel. Any suggestions??

If the request is for a Mail account password, which is the most common problem of this type, that is most likely a problem on your email provider's POP or IMAP server and the only cure on your end is patience until they recognize the situation and get it fixed. If it for other passwords try launching Keychain Access in the /Aplications/Utilities folder, select your keychain the on the Keychain Access menu bar select Keychain Access > Key Repair and see if that helps.

  • Facebook Password Pop-up

I did a software update on my MacBook Pro (OS X Yosemite) today and ever since a window keeps popping up.  The title on the window is "Facebook Password".  The message inside the window says "Enter the password for (my email) in System Preferences."  There are 2 options to click - Preferences and Cancel.  Clicking Preferences does nothing and clicking Cancel only closes the box for a second or two before it pops back up again.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?
    Thanks

In fact, there is one difference with Valters. When I clck "Preferences..." I am taken to "System Preferences -> Internet Accounts".
If I click on "Facebook", a window titled "facebook" opens asking for the Password  for my Facebook account linked to the email shown in the popup window "Facebook Password" (the one that keeps coming back no matter what you do...).
When I fill in the with my Facebook password I get the answer "Unable to verify account name or password".
    Maddening, isn't it?

  • How do I change the appearance of password page on Yosemite? Not my desktop or screen saver but when I wake my computer up and put in my password. The Yosemite colors and images are awful! Thank you.

Appearance of Yosemite password page - how to change it from the automatic one?
I can't remember what previous operating systems showed at this point but I do not remember being disturbed by it every time I woke my computer up as I am now!
It's not my desktop or screensaver but when I wake up my computer and am asked for my password.
    Thanks.

This is Fiona who asked the question. It's now been pointed out to me that the image is actually my desktop photo blurred. From close up I just saw contorted colors and blurred lines and hadn't linked it to my desktop photo!
Still would like to know the answer because I hate it. Any ideas anyone?

  • How to create/reset root password on OSX Yosemite

    Hi,
I am currently a standard user on a late 2008 Macbook Pro. There are two users on my computer, mine and another admin account. I do not know the password to the admin account. Before I upgraded to OSX Yosemite I had created a root user password in SUM using the command "passwd". After I upgraded (I reset my computer) I was back at square one, me as a standard user and another admin account that I didn't know the password. After I upgraded the “passwd” command didn’t work.
I tried to obtain the root password using multiple SUM commands like, "rm /var/db/ .AppleSetupDone" which didn't work because it said that it couldn't find the file. Then I tried to use the command, “/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.opendirectoryd.plist” and then entering “passwd”. However that didn’t work. (Everything I did was after I mounted the drive.)
So I was wondering if anyone on the forums knew of a way for a standard user to reset the root password without the knowledge of the admin password.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hey SamuraiPizzzaCat,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want to use automatic login. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
OS X Yosemite: Login Options pane of Users & Groups preferences
    Automatic login
Choose Off to require users to log in whenever the Mac restarts.
To automatically log in a particular user when the Mac restarts, choose the user’s account name and enter his or her password.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario

  • Keyboard will not backlight to put in password to enter Yosemite

Since I upgraded to Yosemite, the keyboard is not backlit at the time to put in my password, so hard to see to put the password in. When I had Mavericks the keyboard was backlit at the time it asked for my password, not so in Yosemite. Is there a setting for the backlight to come on just after I turn the computer on? And when Yosemite  starts up there is a white scroll bar indicating I guess that Yosemite is loading. Mavericks just used to come up with the screen right away, Yosemite takes 10-15 seconds to scroll up and get to a screen. Otherwise works fine no Wi Fi  issue yet!!

Okay I think I finally got it. I will try to explain with my limited knowledge but I am the type to try different things. As far as the way Yosemite started different from Mavericks, I had file vault enabled, so I disabled it and decrypted my info. Then I went to users and configured the computer to come on automatically without my password. I then restarted and the sequence to load Yosemite now happened first (the scrolling white bar from left to right came up) and completed first, then the first screen came up. I then went back into users and enabled my password again. Shut down and started it up, the scrolling bar came up first loading Yosemite then the keyboard lit up and the request for the password came up. With the keyboard now lit like it was on Maverick I am now able to type in the keyboard in a darker environment. Tried starting few times and now the Scrolling loading bar comes up first then the password request. Before my changes the password request came up first and then the scroll bar loaded Yosemite then the keyboard lit up after. I think or am guessing that with the file vault enabled it affected the startup sequence. Wonder what you think? And thanks for the advice. Hope I have not confused you thanks again.
