Password protected form

Hello
Here's what i'd like to do:
1- Authentification page (ask for an ID).
2- ID must be verified in a db and then "posted" to the main form.
3- the main form will display content in fields depending of the ID entered.
Is it possible?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Jerome, Belgium.

    I need to password protect the form I created in live cycle and also need to distribute it so that the users can fill and save the form using Adobe XI...any suggestions.  The user must be able to save a copy while also having the document signed....

    You need to tell Firefox to remember your usernames and passwords. Select Tools > Options > Security. Ensure that "Remember passwords for sites" is checked. For more information, read this article: [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Passwords Remembering Passwords]. After changing the settings, if Firefox is still not remembering your usernames/passwords, check [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Username%20and%20password%20not%20remembered here].

  • Password Protecting Forms on LiveCycle

    Hello,
    I have a form that will be used by multiple users. These users will fill in data, then submit a pdf via email. I need these pdf's to be password protected with a specific password for each report, but not a random generated one...they will enter the information that will be included in the password, on the form.
    So, preferably, I would like them to be able to enter information into fields, then click a submit button. This would start a process of using information in the fields to create the password. Is this possible?
    If not, the second option would be to have the users manually type in the password each time they submit...I do not know how to accomplish this either.
    Thank you for any help.
    Regards,
    Brett

    Also, I would like the name of the file to be customly created, prefereably via fields in the form.
    Thanks Again

  • Why Are Password Protected Forms not Fillable on Reader App

    I have made a fillable form on Acrobat X Pro that is protected with password security in order to deny printing or editing (other than filling the form and commenting), however the app will open but will not allow you to fill it. The document's forms are fillable on any other computer. How can this be fixed?
    It is reader version 10.4.1 on a Asus Transformer TF300T android Ver 4.1.1

    As you have discovered, Adobe Reader for Android does not yet support filling encrypted forms. It is something we are considering for the future, but I cannot give any insight into when we will have that support available.

  • Password protected form in Reader

    I have a form that I created in LiveCycle Designer.
    I would like the form to be filled out by others in Adobe Reader (not Acrobat Pro or Pro Extended) but only with a password that I specify.
    I have Acrobat Pro Extended.

    Security is actually not a concern. This is an internal document and I only worry about accidental editing.
    I have no Acrobat scripting experience as this is the first form I've created.
    I would prefer the password feature to be more of a discrete operation instead of a button entitled "Edit" (something like if they click on a field that should be editable, then that's when they would get prompted). However, once the document is unlocked, clicking on the same field should not prompt them again for a password.
    Another feature that should be implemented is to automatically re-secure the document once it is saved and/or closed with the same universal password.
    Where can I get help with creating such a script?

  • Can I set up form results to be viewed in a password protected area?

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a form to capture leads for my new lead capture website. I have a bankruptcy business and would like another, new website that I can capture bankruptcy leads from a form. A lead would, of course, be someone who comes to my site and is interested in contacting with an attorney to schedule a free consultation by filling out an online form - "name, state, county, debts, etc.)
    What I would like to do is set up a nationwide site and sell, refer, give, trade? leads from other states to other local attorneys.
    So, my question is, could I set up a form with FormsCentral that I could integrate with a password protected section of my website that the other lawyers could login to in order to check form results? Could it be set so many different users (ie lawyers advertising on my site) could login to check results for their personalized form (for example lawyer A in State A can log into his own private page to check results from Form A, lawyer B in State B can login to a private page to check results from form B and so on and so forth...) Would I need a developer to code this application? Any help would be appreciated.
    Obviously this project was a larger than I expected.
    Thanks a lot!

    We likely wouldn't be a good fit for this. You'll likely have to build a custom application (developer doing coding) to support your use case.

  • Is there any way to password protect access to a form?

    We are going to use a form for a part of a clinical study and there are only 4 persons that should be able to enter information into this specific form.
    I understand that I can choose to share the link to the form with only these appropriate persons but I want to know if there is any way I can password protect the access e.g. after they have clicked on the link, they need to write a password, then be able to fill in the form?
    Thanks!!

    Hi,
    This is not something we currently support but you can add or vote on feature ideas: http://forums.adobe.com/community/formscentral?view=idea
    If you need to add a new idea click "Create an idea" under "Actions" in the top right.

  • Password protected pages in a form

    I had a single password protected page in my original form, I added a second page that also needed to be password protected.
    When I select the password window it brings it up, lets you type in the password but will not open the hidden pages?
    here is the formula:
    form1.#subform[3].Button1::click - (JavaScript, client)
    var retValue = app.response("Enter Password: ", "Warning");
    if(retValue == "XXXxxx"){
        Page4.presence = "visible";
    else{
    app.alert("Wrong password!");
    any ideas?

    I was able to resolve this by adding in a second button for the second page

    How to create Password to lock of Acrobat Pro and Adobe Livecycle Designer
    Hi everyone!!!
    I am using Adobe Livecycle Designer ES software, and i created the password on this Form of this software, but it can not lock Acrobat Pro. How to create Password to lock both of Acrobat Pro and Adobe Livecycle Designer? I would like another people just open Acrobat Reader, not other 2 softwares.

  • My livecycle designer es4 form needs password protection for parts of the form

    I  have a form created in livecycle designer es4 that will be used by Adobe Reader users in three stages. The first stage is setting up choices on the form, saving them and passwordprotecting this Save. The form will be used three more times, each time saved as a new file.
    How do I password protect each saved version from a command button?

    Greetings,
    You have a couple of options depending on whether you need to display the number when the form is created, or saved.
    You will need a 'Back-end' data store - most likely a database with a table that at a minimum keeps track of the last used number.
    If you are saving the data from the form into a database, you could return the number to the user after saving the data ( and generating the associated number )
    If you are wanting to display the number when the form is first opened, you will need to set up an action profile that fires when the form opens to call the back-end and get the next number.
    There is no guarantee that the user will save this form, so you may end up with gaps in your sequence if you are assigning numbers other than when saving.
    The forum has many posts on loading data into forms before presentation, and also some on using web services to push and pull data from forms.
    Hope this helps

  • Password-protect and hide one form field

    Hi there,
    I have been browsing through old forum discussions in search of an answer to my question.  A code George Johnson posted was really helpful, but there's  one more function I need to add to it and am struggling to figure it out on my own.
    I am creating a PDF with form fields.  Different depts within the organization will review this PDF and pass it back and forth.  The Admin dept needs one text field called "internal comments" that they can password protect.  They'd like to be able to add text, then password-protect that one field so it's hidden for other depts who review this PDF.  Admin will need the copy to be visible to them when they enter their password.
    The script I found works really well (see below).  I set up a button to house the script, and when you click it, it locks and unlocks the "internal comments" text field with the password.  However, I can't figure out how to HIDE the "internal comments" text field after someone in Admin inputs their information.   I tried setting up a Show/Hide Field action, but I can't get it to work.  And I'm just not savvy enough to know how to alter the Javascript.
    How can I specify that the "internal comments" text field be HIDDEN when a user enters their password for "deactivate this field", and VISIBLE when they enter a password for "activate this field"?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    (function () {
        // Get one of the fields in the group
        var f = getField("private.name");
        // Determine new readonly state, which
        // is the opposite of the current state
        var readonly = !f.readonly;
        var readonly_desc = readonly ? "deactivate" : "activate";
        // Ask user for password
        var resp = app.response({
            cQuestion: "To " + readonly_desc + " the fields, enter the password:",
            cTitle: "Enter password",
            bPassword: true,
            cLabel: "Password"
        switch (resp) {
        case "your_password": // Your password goes here
            getField("private").readonly = readonly;
            app.alert("The fields are now " + readonly_desc + "d.", 3);
            break;
        case null : // User pressed Cancel button
            break;
        default : // Incorrect password
            app.alert("Incorrect password.", 1);
            break;

    You could modify the section of code to something like:
            case "your_password": // Your password goes here
            getField("private").readonly = readonly;
            getField("private").display = readonly ? display.hidden : display.visible;
            app.alert("The fields are now " + readonly_desc + ".", 3);
            break;
    So it toggles both the readonly property and the display property.
    Edit: corrected typo.

  • Does pages encrypt password-protected documents?

    I would like to protect a document against reading its contents by others. Therefore I would like to know whether Pages encrypts a document when you set a password on it. I tried to look at the contents of a .pages file, but even when it is not encrypted I could not find back the text in clear form. So is the document always encrypted anyway? If encryption is used, how strong is it?
    Observation: an encrypted document of 65k shrinks to 24k when you set a password on it. When you then remove the password it is 49k. Very puzzling...

    Thanks for taking the time to write again, Peter. I don't think I will take it to Apple Care, it would probably take a lot of time and trouble to get an answer, if at all. Instead, I will just assume that, if there had been encryption, that would have been a feature worth mentioning in the user documentation. And since the user manual and help pages do not mention it at all, just password protection, the most likely answer is that there is no encryption.
    I will assume that you are right with your suggested proprietary file layout, possibly in combination with compression. For serious business, I will encrypt the file using a separate tool.
