I have tried entering a new password, when asked, confirmed new password, but then still can't get in.

Thunderbird has nothing to do with administering your email password. That is done with your email provider. Visit your providers email help page and look for a link to reset your password.

How can I revert to password reminder bar rather than the notification that I now get which obscures a bit of the page

The notifcation 'do you want Firefox to remember the password for ... on ... used to appear as a horizontal bar at the top of the page, below the tabs.
It now covers part of the top left of the page as a type of 'call-out'. I want to remember passwords for certain sites and continue to see the reminder but I don't want it to hide part of the page. This is worse in my netbook as the screen is relatively small so the proportion of the page obscured is relatively high. In which version did it change? How can I get the password reminder to revert to a horizontal bar in Firefox v9?

Many thanks for your suggestion. I have tried as you suggest and clicking the 'key' icon does re-open the password reminder notice but clicking the key icon again doesn't close it. Instead to close the password reminder you have to click and drag the cursor off the key icon. I was hoping for a way of reverting to the horizontal bar.

Connecting to an unknown network when a password is required.

I struggle to connect to an unknown network when a password is required. In settings, there's a tick as if it's connected but it isn't. What am I doing wrong?

- Googling shows that you have to join the network and then open Safari and agree to the terms and conditions and then the connect will be completed.
- Try:
Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Go to Settings>Safari and clearing history, cookies and data

Hello, if your install disk is locked (I assume with FileVault) there is no way to change the password. If it weren't locked there were at least two solutions. As far as I know, the only solutions now are:
- contact your dad
- erase and reinstall the OS X clean

Strange white light appearing when password input required on specific apps... Locked apps.
It is a thick white line) appearing momentarily on upper left side of my screen.
This only appears briefly as specific apps are opening up .....only on apps where a password is required,(locked apps) like password managers, Apple App Store, etc.
(this is a little troubling… And I'm wondering about the security of my phone now)
I'm using iPhone 5s with latest iOS 7.1 This only started after the latest iOS update!

Apple has no idea what this is… They're only suggestion was to wipe the phone clean and reinstall from the last backup! If that doesn't work, they would replace the phone.
Before I have to do this, I'm wondering if this could be a phone app doing this, or the iOS or something easily explained/ remedied?
Any ideas?

ISE password reminder email

We are evaluating ISE and I have set up an admin account to use to login. Password policy is set to 60 days, however I have been getting Password reminder notices every day since the first week it was set up. I've looked all over and I don't see where the reminder period is set. This is what I've been getting:
Password Expiration Reminder
The password for your local admin "adminxxxx" is expiring on Fri Dec 20 11:25:56 EST 2013. Please update immediately, by going to https://server.domain.local/admin, signing-in, and clicking on the user name at the upper right corner.
Where can I configure this not to send unless the password is expiring in 10 days?

The Password Lifetime settings for sending an email reminder to administrators in Administration> System> Admin Access menu> Authentication > Password Policy
is functioning the opposite of the way the web GUI for the field explains it does.
There is a defect filed for this issue and will be addressed in ISE 1.2.1 release.
The workaround for this issue is as follows:
Enter the number of days from password creation or change the option you would like to start receiving alerts in the web GUI.
Use the password-expiration-warning line from the running configuration in the CLI to verify the correct number of days before expiration for email alerts to start being generated.

I am working with C# 3.5. My goal is to have a simple program to allow a user change their Active Directory user password via a web page. I have a console application to initially test the commands to active directory and I am running into a problem.
my domains password policy is as follows.
Enforce password history 24 passwords remembered
Minimum password length 7 characters
Password must meet complexity requirements Enabled
Store passwords using reversible encryption Disabled
The error I am getting is "The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800708C5)"
I believe the new password I am using does meet the policy requirements and I can't seem to get this program to work. All I want to build is a simple program to allow a user to change their Active Directory user password.

The .SetPassword works if I use a user with Domain Admin access but it appears the John.Doe is unable to change their own password with the .ChangePassword method.
The output until the exception is the following

I have no clue why any password I select for the new password does not work.

I looked into the password policy and this is what I have learned. There is a major difference between undefined and defined in policies plus making sure the defined policies are set with values that will provide the desired results.
Since this is a development domain and is used for testing I have tweaked the password policy to allow me to develop and test against the domain with a little bit more freedom than a production domain.
I have changed the policy to the following settings.

Maximum password age 0 days
Minimum password age 0 days
Minimum password length 7 characters
Password must meet complexity requirements Disabled

Now, I am able to run my program against the domain testing the password change utility. My error was leaving some of the policy settings as not defined and not understanding what that really means for each setting. For development of a password change utility I need the flexibility to test and the relaxed policy changes allows me to run the program many times without having to work with test data that works around a more restricted policy.

CS2 was created for the Power PC processor which your old iMac obviously was.
Your new Mac with OSX 10.9.5 is an Intel Mac and no longer runs Power PC applications.
For several years after the transition from Power PC to Intel Apple had provided an emulator called Rosetta that allowed Intel Macs to run Power PC applications.
However, the last version of the Mac OS that had Rosetta was OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.
Even if you could find a copy of OSX 10.6.8 it would be highly unlikely that it would ever install on a newer Mac due to different firmware versions.
Your only hope is to buy an older used Mac that can run OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard or earlier.

I am not getting the password reminder for a particular site and the administrators say that it is not them blocking it and it must be my browser.

When I go to a particular website and enter my name and password i do not the password reminder (I get a grey locked padlock icon on the address bar). I do get it for all other sites.
I raised this with the site hosts and they say the issue is with my browser.

I was wondering if it was the sites use of [http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3868299/is-autocomplete-off-compatible-with-all-modern-browsers/21348793#21348793 autocomplete-off] but that changes with Fx30 (already changed in pre-release) and already differs in some other browsers and you continue to have the problem with other browsers.
I need to be clear exactly what you do and see. It would also help to know what the site is, although unless it is public and free it probably can not be tested by others, but it does at least enable a search to be made for reports of the problem.
Can you list exactly the steps you take and what you expect to see or happen compared with what does or does not happen.
If this does hinge on how a particular individual site behaves it is not actually a Firefox problem and although someone may provide an answer it may be better asking somewhere else such as

Have you ruled out that other security related software could be interfering, and if this is a problem at work have you asked your IT department.

Hi barbma, can you recall if you have ever used the email address in question to register another HP online account e.g. Snapfish? Other users have found this to cause a conflict when they then try and register for an ePrintCenter account. You could try going to the Snapfish login page (this is the US version but you can change country in the top right of the page) and trying to sign in with the email address and the password you use for that address. If that doesn't work try clicking the forgot password link and if the Snapfish service emails you with instructions on resetting your password it will prove that you do have a Snapfish account. Once you've reset the password try using this and the email address to create an ePrint Center account.
Hope this helps you get an ePrintCenter acccount created.

Why is my password still required for app updates on my iPhone with iOS6?

I've updated my iPhone 4S and my new iPad both to iOS6. Now when I try to install updates no password is required on the iPad, but my iPhone still pops up the password request window.
I've tried restarting the iPhone after the install but that didn't change anything. Is there a setting or anything else that I need to change on the phone in order to no longer need to enter my password every time I update apps?

I found this on another thread. I disabled restrictions on my iPhone and it no longer asked for my password. I have not tried re-enabling restrictions though to see if the problem reoccurs.

I have defined a agreement under "Custom Document over Generic Exchange" using File transport protocol.
I have configured host and remote tp delivery channels with following setup
i) Encryption Enabled
ii)Non-repudiation-origin enabled
iii)Non-repudiation-receipt enabled
I have created digital certificate using Oracle Wallet Manger application and saved them in B2B file system.
I have browsed and uploaded digital certificates to B2B during delivery channel creation.
After completing everything and when I validate the agreement, it throws following error
AIP-16076: A wallet password is required for hosted trading partner Oracle
Where I am doing wrong ?
Should I copy certificates to a specified path ?
