Password reset by email

My phone was stolen and I'm wanting to use BBM on an old handset.  I cannot remember the password AND the answer to the security question.
There must be a way for Blackberry to send me a password reset via E-Mail - I DO remember confirming my email upon the initial registration.
Please advise, I do not want to reset my BBM ID as I have far too many contacts to hunt down and I am also part of several BBM groups.

  • Has anyone else had a problem with receiving password reset authenticate emails to the email its supposed to go to but doesn't??

I cant sign on to my main Itunes account so i try to authenticate by security question but its not a familiar one, its one that i have never used on anything but i go along and try every birthday in my huge family and nadda...so i try to go the way of the email authentication, this is where it gets a little more interesting...I send it off and it says ok go get it and i go and look and nothing. now i try this several different times and same thing but i have a reciept from 11/11/11 for music i purchased just 3 days earlier, but now its not working, so i try to get a reset on another account, another email address, still connected but not used and i send off the authentication and SLA-BAM...its right there in a spilt second. so whats the problem. I'm no expert, but theres something rotten in Denmark! I only got to get to where i actually got an email off to costumer support and that was a maze of redirects that really just confused the issue, AOL costumers call ! 800 BLAH BLAH to have the AOL overseas operator tell me I am an IDIOT for thinking AOL and ITUNES where in anyway connected likethat and i would have to contact Itunes support....I DID....THAT WHO TLD ME TO CALL YOU!!! Am i missing something...you cant make the best stuff in life up...the real shut is the funniest....I am sitting here just shaking my head...luckily I'm well balanced and basically a Whatever type but its baffling to me how some things can get so confusing by trying to make it user friendly. just have an american person at the end of a small pay line at the worst to talk to a living breathing being, instead of a computer that doesn't give you an option to just bypass and go to a person,no you have to try to reason with the machine to get what you want...lol i need some decaf, thanks A S C for a forum to vent, Keep Fighting The Good Fight! Cya

If you aren't receiving password reset emails and your security questions don't work, someone has hijacked your account.
    This happened to me.
You need to use Expresslane to contact iTunes support to regain access to your account ASAP.

  • Itunes account password reset. icloud email unavailable...

this is a question for a friend, because obviously, i have an account to ask.
itunes account password reset because her son kept attempting to access account.
to reset password, link goes to email. however, her email was an icloud account. so it used the same log in as the itunes account.
she knows the secret question and answer to access and reset from the non-email password reset method, however, the birthday required to get to that question is inaccessible and does not work (she is a woman, and obviously lies about her age).
I'm thinking the only way around it is to either setup a new itunes account, which would erase the ipad data once that is connected ( i assume that ipads can connect with only a single account), or find some other way to access the secret question. there is no phone number listed for icloud.
the ipad is only backed up to the icloud account. she just bought a computer, so would like to make a physical backup of the ipad. I think it is unadvisable to connect the ipad and the computer, until the icloud account can be accessed.
I'm not very knowledgable of the whole icloud thing. it sounded like a good idea to back up the son's ipad since she didnt have a computer, so i gifted her the icloud account. now, i'm kind of responsible for figuring out the situation. any helpful comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

sneaky, found it sent an email to one of my email accounts as well as the icloud.
    login solved.

  • Password reset and email doesn't send email.

I want to reset my password, so I clicked on reset password and email, and have not received an email. Now I have no idea what my password is. It's really tough to get to this page.

I've had this problem for several weeks, now running FF 6.0.2, although I doubt the FF version has anything to do with the problem. I sent the following e-mail to [email protected] on 9/20, and have so far received no reply:
    ============
I've been having login problems on Mozilla sites lately, apparently
because I can't remember my username. Since I can't remember my
    username, I can't request a password reset.
I've tried the usernames in Firefox's Saved Passwords file, but of
course they don't work. I can't reregister because my email address is
"already in use", undoubtedly by me. One of the Firefox sites eventually
gets to where they claim to send me account information, but that never
shows up, either in my Thunderbird client, or in Verizon's files --
either mail or junk. I've tried this many times with the same result,
Is there any way to simply delete my e-mail account from all of
Mozilla's websites, forums, etc., and let me start over?
    ===============
I've established a new account using a new e-mail address, so I can start using the forums again, but I would like to get back to using my "real" e-mail if possible.
Interestingly, when I post anonymously and am asked for an e-mail to confirm my subscription to a forum, I use my "real" e-mail, and receive the confirmation request from [email protected] OK. It's just the password-reset e-mails that aren't working.

  • Username and password reset for emails

Hi, I have recently upgraded my phone and my husband is now having my Blackberry.  However, I can't remember my username or password to login to change the email address over.  Can anyone help me.  I have phoned O2 who can't help.  My husband is with TMobile and they can't help either.  I'm at a loss now.  Is there a reset button so we can erase what data is on the phone?

    Sorta, yes.
You can wipe the device of all your personal information and get it back to almost factory like settings... Options > Security > Security > Security Wipe.
If your device is locked to O2, and he is using it on Tmoible, it will need to be unlocked for use on a different carrier. See the instructions and links below.
Then, he will need the BlackBerry Data Plan on his Tmobile account and have the device PIN/IMEI registered for use on Tmobile. You must have the device PIN and IMEI released from your OS account.
    Good luck.
To determine if your BlackBerry is already "unlocked" or not:
    1. On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Sim Card.
    2. At that screen type MEPD (see note below) on your keyboard. A new menu will pop up.
    3. Look for Network in the list.
    4. If your device is "unlocked", it should say Disabled or Inactive. If it says Active, it's still locked to that carrier.
If you need instructions on how to unlock your BlackBerry for use on a
carrier other than the one to which it is branded, check out BlackBerry
Unlocks This is a trusted and know by me unlocking vendor.
and read this link for instructions.

  • Password reset via email

I am able to reset my Apple Id via the email link.  The prolem is I cannot sign on using the new password.  I cannot reset the password by answering security questions becuase we never answered the questions asked!  I tried calling support and they told me my Apple Id does not exist.  How can I reset a password on an account that does not exist
I'm not an "Apple"  person...........my kids are........I'm just trying to get them access to all their money they have on iTunes.
Very unhappy with the phone support I've received so reaching out to the communities.

Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, contact Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password.  The call should be free.  You will need your serial number, which you will find in Settings>General>About.

  • Password reset email

I requested help retrieving my Itunes password yesterday and it said once I receive it via email, it will have instructions how to proceed.
I still haven't received it.  Checked spam folder too.
How long does it take for me to get the password reset instruction email? thanks.

Thanks -- that's what I thought.  I have 2 email accounts. The original ITunes account was one address; on which I have my iTunes credit from a gift card - a hefty amount.  The newer email is my current login - but no ITunes credit.  I wanted to log back into the old one to use up the credit.
    hmm....
Servers or providers haven't been down....
I guess I'll just keep checking for it.
    ugh.

  • How can i change email address for security questions and password resets

I've noticed that my password reset requests are going to an old email acount. In fact, i am not sure where they are going.
the real issue is that i don't see a way to change it when i am logged in (it took me many tries to actually log back in) to my apple id account.
I've changed alternate email accounts, but again i don't see a way to change my destination email account for security section of the account.
Also i would rather reset these via text (ATT has this option for my cell phone account reset and i love it).  I don't see an option like that from Apple at all.
Any suggestions and help will be much appreciated. Don't want to struggle with password resets every time i need to get in.

If you're able to supply two of your security answers, click here and follow the instructions to change your rescue email address.
If not, you need to contact Apple.

I cannot get my password reset on apple itunes to start using my iphone. Tried website to reset password and asked to send email/same as user. Never getting email. Tried with my birthdate but that is not accepting. Called apple 8002752273 and guy told me Apple has had problems with this for weeks. Nothing he could do for me - i could answer all his security questions but birthdate. He said send a letter to itunes help , he could not provide. Could be weeks before anyone gets back to me? I checked itunes an of course there was not itunes email help available.  Anyone have email for customer relations or phone# or know how to fix this?

"Could be weeks before anyone gets back to me?"
Where did you get that nonsense?  Your involved question sounds like a hoax.  Regardless, the phone number for Apple Customer Relations is: 800-767-2775.

  • Apple is sending a password reset to an email address that does not exist. How do I update the email? Can't find it in my account.

Why is Apple sending an email to an address I can't find in my account??

Apple will not send you password reset requests in an email. It is likely a phishing email trying to get your personal or security information. Ignore the request and send the email to trash. Do not provide any personal or security information in response to the email. Do not click on any links in the email.

  • How can I change my password reset email address?

My AppleID password reset link keeps going to an old email address. Is there a way of changing the reset email address?

Go to your country from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 or use AppleCare country number from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and ask to speak with the Account Security Team...they can handle that for you.

  • HT2623 how do i delete icloud account on my ipad when my apple ID is non active email and i don't know the password and can't reset password without active email

how do i delete icloud account on my ipad when my apple ID is non active email and i don't know the password and can't reset password without active email

If the iCloud account you are trying to delete is old ID that was later updated to change it to your current ID, you can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now, if desired, you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Icloud password reset is not coming to my original email

    Hello,
I have a unique problem. Kindly consider the following points:
My yahoo email that i used to originally set up my icloud got hacked but i have been able to restore account now.
In the mean time, i was able to assign my device to new icloud account under a different email address.
My phone kept alerting me to enter the password for the first yahoo address.
I learned that i had to dissociate my device with the new icloud account so i have done that.
Now, i can't log into my icloud account using my original password and when i ask to reset the account nothing comes to my restored yahoo email ( not even to the spam).
How can i reset my icloud account using my original yahoo? Or i guess the million $ question is: how can i let apple just reset my email original account!

Can you log into your Yahoo address iCloud account on icloud.com?
