Password Reset - Important Customer Security Alert

Yesterday I received an email from Adobe DPSAdmin telling me that, "an attacker illegally entered our network and may have obtained access to some Adobe IDs and encrypted passwords...as a precaution, we are resetting relevant customer passwords to prevent unauthorized access to customer accounts."
Today I received an email from Adobe Cutomer Care using the same language with a password reset link.  I went through the process of resetting the passwords of all of the Adobe IDs we use for our different published apps.
Does resetting these passwords mean that I need to rebuild and resubmit all of our apps using the new passwords?

This happened again over the weekend.  From the contents of the email I assume they weren't hacked again, but instead decided to reset my password again just for kicks?  I've been notified of this happening with at least two of the accounts I manage.  Is there a reason why the automatic password reset has happened twice?

On October 3rd, we announced that our security team discovered sophisticated attacks on our network involving illegal access to certain customer information. As part of our ongoing investigation into this incident, we have learned that your Adobe ID and password may have been accessed by the attackers.
We are still investigating, but we currently have no indication that there has been any unauthorized activity on your account. However, as a precaution, we will reset your password at 11pm PT on Saturday, October 19th. After we reset your password, please visitwww.adobe.com/go/passwordreset to create a new password. We recommend that you also change your password on any web site where you use the same user ID or password.

  • Password reset is saying my date of birth is incorrect

    Today, while trying to fix my daughters iPad (forgotten security password) I ran into an issue with my existing iTunes password. Suddenly my account is disabled. For a short story, I tried going the password reset option of security questions. First question? Date of birth. Something not easily forgotten yet when I enter it, was told it was wrong...?!
    After 1/2 an hour of repeated password resets by claiming I'd forgotten my username (since the forgot passwrod option was never sending an email like it said it was) I was able to reset the password (after 5 times of selecting new passwords, then having each disabled...).
    So I then went, as found online, to Manage My Apple ID to only find that yes, I'd set up security questions and oh my gosh my date of birth was already entered, correct, and had been what I was entering all along.
    Honestly, never used any system where the account is suddenly disabled for no reason and to have the password reset function so very muddled up. What's going on here?!

  • Yahoo security password resets are causing misery ...

    Yahoo has stepped up it's security and as a result is forcing many of us to reset our passwords when their program detects 'unusual activity' Quite what that means I don't think anyone really knows. I have been forced to change my passwords twice in the past three weeks. The ensuing havoc this causes is extraordinary. The password resets itself for brower access but it can take days or weeks for the servers to be updated for Outlook or Blackberry to be able to use the password. I have no spent some twenty hours trying to sort this out. It is a problem that BT is unaware of although I have made four complaints about it. BT seems to have structured itself to be largely ineffective to deal with any complaint. There is no person that you can speak to that actually can take responsibility. An organisation that is so slow to respond and so poorly organised to respond to customer problems in a effective way is going to loose my business. When they call you and can't reach you they just leave a message that they will call back. It would make sense to leave a contact name and number where you could call the technical line back when the customer is available. it is small things like this that show that this company has lost touch with pretty much all its values and principles. I have been BT for over 30 years and I have seen this company disintegrate into a confused mess.. I feel as sorry for the staff as for the customers, who have been structured into small cogs in the system with no power to actually solve things.

    You have all had trouble with your password??? I have had this for months and it is only in the past week that this has stopped happening.People didn't believe me when I said  my email client couldn't  access the server. The cure[for a day] was to go to the BT yahoo sign in remove my correct password and re-instate it --that worked-for a day -so every day for  several months  I had to do this all the time. It has stopped at the moment but I wont be holding my breath I have had major problems with BT yahoo over several years and will be glad when that virus is removed and I am transferred to CP Yahoo high-jacks you to its paid for sites  changes your tabs and bookmarks -sent me to the US yahoo website and the only option 2 years ago was to pay a website -to GET BACK TO BT YAHOO!!- It has multible accounts  on Yahoo that I cant remove All business -The US-China-Italy many more ALL on my account I cant remove. I complained here and  somone must have seen the complaint of an armed protection company who were using my account -that has now gone but the US government still think I run a government agency for the Native Americans and invite me to apply for grants for them. I will jump for joy!! when the yahoo trojan is removed from BT.

  • Security question feature required for password reset

    Hi,
    When ever SAP user forgets his password and he wants to reset his password, We need an option in logon screen to request the user to enter the answer for the security question and when he enters the correct answer, his ID should get reset and a new password should be mailed to his email id.

    Wild solution...
    1) Create a New User ID, which will be used for Just resetting the password based on the security question. This ID will have a password which everybody will know.
    This ID will have only few authorizations.
    2) Create a Custom Program which will take the User ID and the Question. Also some way of storing the Answer in some table (encrypted).
    Based on the ID, the question of the user will be displayed. Based on the Input by the user, the answer will be checked.
    3) If the answer is correct, reset the password and send a mail to the user id of the user. (Solution for resetting the password needs some analysis) The custom table will store user id, question, answer and the email id to which the email has to be sent.

  • How can i change email address for security questions and password resets

    I've noticed that my password reset requests are going to an old email acount. In fact, i am not sure where they are going.
    the real issue is that i don't see a way to change it when i am logged in (it took me many tries to actually log back in) to my apple id account.
    I've changed alternate email accounts, but again i don't see a way to change my destination email account for security section of the account.
    Also i would rather reset these via text (ATT has this option for my cell phone account reset and i love it).  I don't see an option like that from Apple at all.
    Any suggestions and help will be much appreciated. Don't want to struggle with password resets every time i need to get in.

    Can I use my existing E-mail address to retrieve my password reset through security questions instead of through E-mail. When I try retrieving my new Apple password through reset through security questions?  On the Apple id, it will not allow me to do so becasue I forgot my security answers to the question. I'm naming one or two of the wrong vechiles which is what the questions ask me for for security questions.
    For icloud do you reccommend that I keep that same E-mail address or create a new one for my iCloud mail aside from my G-mail address name?
    I asked support community for the very first time to reset my security questions and it wanted me to create a new user name for iCloud when I already have *****l for my original Apple id.

    Note: The option to send an email to reset your security questions and answers will not be available if a rescue email address is not provided. You will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to do so.

    If you cannot remember your security questions for your Apple ID, I would recommend these steps outlined in the article named:

    What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
    Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
    If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
    If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
    sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers. 
    If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
    If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password

    We have a prerequisite where we need to create custome security profiles as per the requirement.
    These security profiles I have created in an excel sheet and wish to import it in the server.
    The reason behind creating the security profiles through excel sheet is that in the future we will be working on a new server. So instead of doing any rework we can directly import from this excel sheet.
    For creating a security profiles through an excel sheet, I have mentioned the following things in the excel sheet.
    1. In a "eso_security_profiles" i have mentioned the profile name,description,internal ID, etc..

    Hi Vaishali,
    I understand that you need these security profiles in another server going forward. I would suggest another way around rather.
    Please create the Security profiles in SAP Sourcing itself, then export the OMA file. When you move into another server please import this OMA file. This will serve the purpose of having the new security profiles in the new server.
    If you are modifing something in the workbook, then you should carefully review field details. As I am not sure which version of SAP Sourcing and details of workbook, so I would suggest the above way to try out.

    The password reset functionality in Opensso works in a manner that when a user wish to reset his password, he is asked to provide a answer to a security question and than opensso resets his password and send it via email.
    What I need to achieve is , for some users OpenSSO should not prompt for security Question and Answer, rather when he tries to reset his password, it is directly send to his email. I have a value in LDAP via which I can identify which user should not be prompted for security question but want to know how to and where to inject this code to achieve this.
    Is this task doable? If yes please provide some help to achieve this.

  • Password reset for old sbcglobal account - no longer an ATT customer

    I have an account from my DSL service that I canceled some time ago. One of the sub-accounts was hacked and is suspended. I never set up alternate contacts for it, so it wants me to call a service rep to have the password reset. Since I am no longer a customer there is no path through the phone tree that I can tell to find someone to make this happen. Is it possible to have the password reset for this account?
