Password username assignment website link ti iweb

I have a subscription service that requires a paid subscription. I was wandering since IWeb 09 can only have one password username for the iWeb site if this would work? Can a hired web designer create a page for me that is not Iweb ( or could it be Iweb as a different site somehow? ) and here have subscribers sign up and pay and receive individual user and password names so to track paid subscribers access .This would then link to the IWeb09 password that has to be the same for all ,but this linking would be kept invisible . End result - be able to stay with Iweb for website and handle the password protection assignment needed by linking an html website page with password assignment on to the username password at IWEB left invisible to protect it ? Anyone have experience with this goal?

Just checked your site again in FireFox as well as IE on Windows 2000. There seems to be variability in the top navigation menu....sometimes the links appear all in one row (probably as expected) and work as they are supposed to...other times only "Introduction" and "Game" show up on the top line as active links. The other three links show up under the animated water line and do not function. I have now reproduced this behavior in both FireFox and IE6 on this Windows 2000 box.
Maybe it's just a local caching issue. After multiple refreshes of all the pages, things seem to have stabilized.

You create the usernames and passwords where you host your website. Made with or without iWeb.
Usually it's done in the controlpanel where you manage your account.

How can I password protect imbedded folders within an iWeb-created website?

I have read that iWeb will not allow you to password protect individual imbedded content (ex. individual albums or pictures), but, that you can only protect the whole site. I have also read on here that the password protection for the site isn't very good and is easily broken.
Short of creating multiple pages (each password protected) and then linking all the private pages to a public page, is there any easier way to password protect individual items of content rather than the whole site, preferably in a way that can't be "broken" in terms of bypassing the password?
Maybe I need to use a different application to create the website? If so, recommendations?

What kind of content? If you use PDF files you can password protect them when you create them. The same goes for Word documents.

Remove a saved password here: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
You may also need to remove the cookies from that website.<br />

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

How do I save my usernames on websites, but not my passwords?

I don't want the computer to save my passwords, but I would love to not have to continue typing in my usernames to websites like youtube, facebook and my email accounts. Is there a setting that enables this? Can I have firefox have a drop down bar from previous typed usernames?

On V4.0, I am unable to get Firefox to save my passwords for critical websites I use frequently. I have followed the recommended procedures to insure that I am asking Firefox to remember passwords.

I have gone to tools, options, security and have made sure that remember passwords is checked, but I never get the request to save the passwords when accessing websites requiring username and password. I am using Windows 7 Operating System.

I spent hours trying to remedy this yesterday but eventually discovered that if you click twice (not a double-click) in the slot, Firefox shows your name and password. So many things not functioning and/or unexplained in Firefox 4.

No, because all those functions were MobileMe only and now that MobileMe has gone, they won't function any longer.
To enable these to function, you either need to add them yourself or change your blogging platform to something else such as WordPress etc., and create a link from iWeb to your WordPress blog or embed the blog page using iframe into your iWeb site.
Commenting systems such as Disqus or http://www.intensedebate.com work quite well.

How do I link an iWeb site to a Yahoo store?

I designed an iWeb site for a friend, she is hosted at Yahoo Small Business. She also wanted to use Yahoo ecommerce does anyone know how to link an iWeb site to a Yahoo store? Yahoo uses store tags which they tell me can't be used in iWeb I was hoping to just link the ecommerce store I created in Yahoo to a store link in iWeb like a separate page. But I don't know how or if that will work. Any help would be appreciated.

LOL, you are absolutely correct I am moaning and groaning and you are correct about the tech suport the reason I am so frustrated.

The Yahoo store is store.papeteriecollections.com
The yahoo store is set up to the point of store tags. I was able to link the store to the site itself but not the items in the store to the items in the website. That's where the tags come in. From yahoo I copied their code from the item and then pasted it into iWeb. The link worked from iWeb back to the yahoo store, but not after publishing it. So then I tried the (html snippet) in iWeb and pasted the store tag code in there at the bottom of one of the items in my site, and order button appeared. (good thing) but it didn't work either. please see below:

How can I create a pdf-file with clickable links from a website created in iweb 09?
All iwork apps have an export button, which fulfills this task, but iweb does not.
Any idea?

I am running 10.5.6 on a MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz. I create my PDFs via the print dialogue. I tried to create a PDF from iweb with Hyperlinks activated and all links are dead. I tried to create the PDF from the Safari window, were all links are active, and – funny enough – sometimes all, sometimes half of my links are dead. But most of them do not work. As soon as I create PDFs from third party sites, everything works fine.

Password protect some pages in an iweb site

Just wondering if it is possible to password protect certain pages in an iweb site....
I have a phtography site that i use for more professional pictures, however I wanted to upload personal pictures and only have certain people be able to access the pictures on certain pages?
does anyone know if this can be done?
for example and person who visits my site may see all my work on photo page 1 and 2, however only restricted persons can access pages 3?
if anyone has any insight, it would be much appreciated.

You can only password protect a site. So you can add another site, move the pages you want to it and password protect it. Then add a text based link to the second site.
An alternative could be to create an iPhoto Web gallery that's password protected and link to it from your site and have it open in an new window so it's easy to get back to your original site.

probably, you get the details from the table HRP1001.
Key in the postion number in the field ObjectID and execute.
Look at the CP relationship (subtype A008, CP is linked to US-username). If you have multiple users assigned to this position, it will display multiple CP entries with Percentage distribution (field PROZT).

When first time i entered details it asked to remember password, even in saved passwords i can see the password but when i go to these websites username use to be there but no password. but password is saved in Firefox and i can see using show password option.

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
*do not clear the "Site Preferences"
*Tools > Options > Privacy: History: [X] Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
