Past due Will be updated

Hi,
I have a strange issue with software deployment. I Deploy some software which is set to "available" and the user installs it through the software center. for some reason after a few days/weeks the software status displays "Past Due - Will be
updated"
This is the Command that is running:
setup.exe /adminfile adminfiles\SECOffice2010_SSECG_ProPlus.MSP /config Proplus.ww\config.xml
Im not sure if it is because I have made a configuration change? is the installer doing something again on the computer?
Thanks for any response in advance.
Mike

Hi,
"Past Due - Will be updated" should be caused by a configuration change.
CIAgent.log on the client records some information about that.
Best Regards,
Joyce Li

  • Software Updates - Past Due - Will be Installed

I've got a major problem that I need help with asap.  All of our software updates are coming on the clients as "Past Due - Will be Installed".  This just started happening this week out of nowhere.  Application deployments and package
deployments work fine, it's only with software updates.  I've recreated deployments, recreated software update groups and deployment packages and such.
Everything online points to a in Client Settings that is "Agent extension manage the deployment of applications and software updates", but that is set to false and has never changed.  Again this is only for software updates, not for anything
else.  We're using System Center 2012 R2, HELP!

Are your software updates groups deployed?
Can you post a screen shot of the message from one of the clients?

I appreciate the reply, I'm in a major bind right now.  Here is the screenshot

  • "Past Due - Will be installed", but the app never tries to install

I have gone over the existing threads and found none that fit my situation. Here is what I know:
The deadline has passed with a status of Past due - will be installed.
The deployment is targeted to a computer collection.
If I manually start the install, it works fine (no failures in the .exe or install process).
Running Application Deployment Evaluation cycle does not help.
The content is sitting in the ccmcache folder ready to go.
Resultant client settings show that "Additional software manages the deployment of applications and software updates" is not checked, so an errant client setting is not to blame.
AppEnforce.log shows no update since the application was discovered. Nothing else is popping out as a red flag in the AppIntentEval or AppDiscovery logs.
Rebooting did not help (sometimes pending reboots seem to get in the way.
Any ideas? This has been consistent problem in our environment, to the point that telling clients they can set up a required deployment sounds like I am not giving them the whole story.

Resultant client settings show that "Additional software manages the deployment of applications and software updates" is not checked, so an errant client setting is not to blame.
    He has not enabled that.

  • Past due - will be installed

    Hi all,
we've been setting up app-deployment using SCCM 2012, and are going in to production in about a month. Now, we have a major problem.
None of the required apps are installing. They're simply stuck at "Past due - will be installed".
Indeed they are past due (all deployments are set to install as soon as possible), but absolutely nothing is happening (no it's not a matter of waiting, it's a dead halt). If we click 'install all required', everything installs perfectly. But obviously that's
    not an option.
The appenforce.log doesn't seem to be doing anything either; and it's not a problem with access to install source either; since all apps download fine, and THEN go into 'Past due...'.
I've also tried scheduling it to a time in the future, and then it just goes 'will be installed at (xx)' and once the deadline passes, it's 'past due' again.
So in summary; absolutely nothing is happening; and we've gone over the setup a million times, everything seems to be correct. We've also tried installing the agent on a clean (non-deployed) machine; virtual machines and with and without bitlocker. No difference.
We are seriously stuck. Help! :)

Bah, I don't have Reporting Services installed. Will check that.

  • Software Center - past - due will be installed & maintenance/business hours

    Hi All
I am struggling with some issues with installing software on clients.
Much of the software I have deployed can end up sitting in client software center as 'past due - will be installed' or 'pastdue - will be retried'.
They'll sit there until someone does something..meaning.. You need to manually start the deployment.. Then it installs fine.
I always set ' User Experience - When installation deadline is reached..... to "Software Installation" ticked.
There's apparently a client settings in Administration-->Client Settings->"computer Agent" which can affect the install as well "Additional Software manages the deployment......" this is set to "no".
Business hours on clients are set to 5-22.. I believe this is standard.
There is NO maintenance windows set for any of my collections.
What's strange is that some clients install software I deploy just fine.. while others I deploy to at the same time.. can leave the software as 'past due'. Meaning some clients install as they should while others end up in "past due".
Can someone guide me in the right direction..
    Kindest regards, Martin

    Hi Torsten..
    Good call..
This is what VLC player returns in monitoring->deployments:
Failed to locate content error 0x87d01107 Failed to access all the provided program locations. This program may retry if the maximum retry count has not been reached.
but again.. if I go to the client and click on "try again" .. it installs..
    Kindest regards, Martin

  • Past Due - Will be installed issue in SCCM 2012

Deployment of an application task sequence after the initial OS deployment task sequence is working fine, but several application deployments that is deployed to a role collection does not
install even if they are deployed required and deadline is passed. As you can see from print screen all the jobs is received by the agent, so the question is, why do they not start
    installing automatically?
Checked the Computer Agent settings and all the settings were also intact including “Additional Software manages the deployment of application” setting was set to No so there
is something else due to which this is not installing.
Checked in the below post for the same issue
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rslaten/archive/2013/11/26/past-due-applications-not-installing-in-sccm-2012.aspx#comments
as per it issue may be with Incorrect revision number within any of the task sequences
targeted to a machine. Now how do I find the application with the incorrect revision number in any of the task sequences targeted to the machine?
Also not sure how to go about verifying the correct revision numbers in the task sequences if this is the issue in my case
    Please suggest.

Have you checked is there a maintenance window set? - No
Also can they find the content on a DP? Yes
Are the files present on the client in ccmcache? Yes

  • Will Apple replace my phone if it broke due to an update?

I've had my iPhone 5 since September, so about 6 months now. Last week, I was backing up my phone like I do every so often, and I was asked if I wanted to update my phone to the newer, updated version of iOS 7. (I believe it was iOS 7.0.6) Anyway, a couple days later, I noticed that my phone started shutting off randomly. It started happening more and more, and sometimes it wouldn't even turn back on and I would have to do a "hard restart" (holding lock and home button). The only time it didn't happen was when my phone was plugged in, charging. I looked online a bit and similar things have happened to people who have dealt with battery failure or power depletion (?). I saw that restoring it could help, but I did and nothing changed. Just yesterday, now the fourth day that this has been going on, it shut off and has not turned on since then; when plugged in it will occasionally appear with the white screen with the apple logo, like it does when it's being turned on, or if I press the home button it comes up with the red battery indicator, like it does when the battery is dead (there is no way that the battery is dead). Anyway, I contacted Apple support online yesterday, as I'm a college student living on campus, without a car, and they told me to try to restore it again, because that should fix it, but iTunes couldn't even register that it was connected because it wouldn't turn on. The person I talked with suggested I take my phone to an Apple store. Luckily, spring break starts in a couple of days so I will be able to drive the hour to the closest store to me so they can take a look at it.
I'm just really curious if anyone else has had a similar problem, and/or if anyone knows if Apple will replace my phone for me? The screen is cracked, but it's been like that for probably 2-3 months now and I really don't think that has anything to do with it. The person I spoke with suggested that it could have been due to the update, but didn't outright say it. Thanks!

Same exact thing happened with me as well. I talked to someone last night on the chat again, and they told me that a cracked screen does indeed void my warranty. Although, I am 99.999999% positive that the update is what caused the problem, as I said before, the screen has been cracked for nearly 3 months now with no problem. I'm planning on going to the store on Saturday and going to see what they can do. The people I spoke with told me there is some things they can try to do in store, and if those don't work, depending what the problem is they can send it out for repair or replace it. Problem is, I don't have the warranty anymore so it's $269 for a replacement, and I'm assuming the repair price is based on what needs to be repaired. Luckily in your case, as long as there's no cosmetic damages, your warranty is most likely not voided, and they can replace/repair it for no charge.

  • Wondershare's iDraft for $2.99 will not update crashing issues due to 4.2!

Wondershare will not update their iDraft App, on the App Store, for compatibility issues due to iOS 4.2! iDraft costs $2.99, and should be pulled from the app store. An app should not be sold, until the issue is addressed. It's wrong, and I want to see some progress, instead of emails saying that we are heading in a different direction... Then return email back saying that we are now working on the issue, and I could get a discount on Wondershare apps...
Wondershares response to fix the Crashing issues for iDraft...
    (1st Response)
    "Dear Customer,
Thanks for contacting us. This is Ivan from support team.
Currently iDraft does not support iOS 4.2, and we do not provide future upgrades for this product due to our company long-term blueprint.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.
We are now working on a new application on Android platform.
Just let me know if you have any question."
    (2nd Response)
    "Dear Customer,
I am very sorry for the trouble.
We have temporary paused the future upgrades of this product, but never permanently give up it.
And we are focused on another product which we hope it can bring more fun to all iPad users.
I have forwarded your message to our R&D department, and we will look into this case and improve the software performance.
As compensation, we can offer you an extra 20% off if you are interested on any product on our official site. Just let me know the product name.
Let me know if you have any question."
    (3rd Response)
    "Dear Customer,
I am very sorry for the trouble.
Currently iDraft does not support iOS 4.x, we are now working on the update.
If you don't mind, I recommend you wait for next upgrade.
I will send a message to you as soon as we launch it.
Or you may contact Apple for refund if you prefer. We would like to offer you a refund but we are not able to do it, there is no refund option in vendor's portal."
I have reported the issue to Apple, and thought this may be of interest to you guys as well.
    Your Thoughts?

  • Pismo will not update past 10.4.3

I have a g3 power book pismo, 400 mhz running Tiger that I bought on ebay. It has been upgraded to 512 mb of RAM and a 90 G hard drive (80 G available). Has operated flawlessly, however I recently noticed that software update has not updated Tiger at all. I currently have 10.4.3. I downloaded the 10.4.10 combo installer for PPC, however I get the following error message when I select my hard drive as the destination volume:
Installing this software requires 512 mb of space.
You cannot install Mac OS X Update Combined (PowerPC) on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update.
I was perfectly happy without the update, until my .mac syncing stopped working due to an update. Now, my iCal and other apps are not syncing with my new iMac. Any suggestions on how I can get this update going?

My advice is don't do it.  With all the problems with .3 you would be best to stay at .2 version.  Unless you need multicam support.  If you have old projects, you likely will fall into the re-rendering problem.

  • Will not update past VS910ZV7

My Revo will not update past sw version VS910ZV7.  Checking for software updates manually does nothing.  It appears the latest version out is VS910ZV9.  How can I get my phone to update??

        Magicshews,
Jeepers! Software updates are created to make sure yoru device has the best user experience, so lets get this fixed!  I would recommend powering off the phone>removing the battery from the device for 2 min> place the battery back in the device>power on the device. The device will power back on with original software and will prompt you once again to install the system update. Hope this helps!
    Thanks,

  • Need to suspend account that is past due. I am overseas and will be for a while.

    Hello,
Verizon support, please contact me through this or my email. My account is currently past due and is accruing charges. My family and myself have been in South Korea since June of 2014. I am in the military and stationed overseas. We plan on being here until the summer of 2016.
I need to suspend the account and fix the payments that have been piling up for a service I am not using.
I do not have access to twitter or face book.
Please respond soonest. Time is a luxury I do not have. As a commander of Soldiers overseas, I typically spend over 80 hours a week at work, am on call 24/7, and spend weeks at a time with no access to communications. If I do not have a response in the next 20 hours, you will not get a response from me until around 23 February, I will be away from any access to communications.
Thank you for any support rendered.

First and foremost, thank you for your commitment to our country and my freedom.  I am grateful for you as well as all of the other military hero's serving home and away.
Now, would you happen to have someone state side that could help you with this situation?  Maybe get a copy of your orders to them and they can help you get this taken care of?  As Ann mentioned, you'll still be responsible for charges already incurred but at least you can help put a stop the future charges.  The VZW reps don't always chime in and even if/when they do, they don't always respond in a timely manner.  Your best bet would find a friend or relative in the states that would act on your behalf to get this taken care of.  Unfortunately, I wouldn't put much hope into getting your situation resolved here on the forums.

Also, since updating to 5.1.1 Safari frequently crashes.  Help!!!!!!

5.1.1. is the end of the line for the original iPad. You can't go beyond that. As for the safari crashes, is it tied to specific websites? Have you tried clearing the cache and history?

  • HT1338 MacBook pro will not update past 10.5.8

What can I do if my MacBook pro will not update past OS X 10.5.8
When I check for software updates, it says there are no updates and it is up to date.

OS X 10.5.8 is the last update for that version. If you need to go to a OS X 10.6 then you are going to have to purchased a DVD for the upgrade.
