Paste Doesn't Work in Destination Name

Found this bug today. In LabVIEW 2013 SP1 Windows 7 x64. Make a new empty project. Make an installer in the build specifications (save it first) go to the Destinations category, then try to paste a string that is in the clipboard into the Destination Name string control. You will get "v" because it looks like it doesn't handle a paste operation for some reason.

If 10 out of 10 experts in any field say something is bad, you should probably take their opinion seriously.

You are correct that you cannot paste into that field in LabVIEW 2013. Other fields in the installer build (dialog information) allow the user to paste into the field.

Paste doesn't work on IPad, on sites that use frames

I work for MindBody Inc. and a client of ours brought to my attention that paste simply doesn't paste on our site. This is quite annoying for them, and in trying to find a fix, I discovered that a fairly moderate bug in Safari on the IPad. Paste just simply doesn't work in frames.
Does anyone know how I would go about submitting a bug to Apple?

When browsing the frameTest.html paste doesn't work. It shows up but clicking it pastes nothing.
Going to brianTest.html, paste works as expected.

Same problem with Atomic Web Browser on the websites using frames.
All the "identify web browser as" options have been tested, unsuccessfully.
It seems that the new iPad 4.2 iOS version solves the problem. I will test it on monday and post the results here. Stay tuned, or check it by yourself...

Copy Paste doesn't work during and after a remote login session

Hi
I am using a Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 laptop to login into Linux. I am using Putty and Xming to SSH and view the desktop. Whenever I start a session the copy paste functionality gets disabled in my laptop,i.e., I cannot copy text from one text
file to another or within the same text file. The copy paste doesn't work even upon closing the connection.
From what I have gathered it is not possible to copy from one computer(host) to another(guest) during a remote login session but I am not able to copy within my windows laptop.
Is there some setting that I need to change to prevent it from happening? What are the possible solutions?

Please restart your PC to check whether you can get back the copy and paste function. It can be caused by some compatibility issue.
Please also run "sfc /scannow", check if it find and fix any errors.

Copy/Paste doesn't work in Address Bar and Smart Search Field

Yeah, that's true. Say, I copied a sentence from a site. When I try to paste that sentence into 'Smart Search Field' and press 'Enter'. It doesn't work! Same thing happens when I try to paste a URL into Address Bar/Smart Address Field. What's going on? Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I've got that too. It's not clear why it hits some people and not others. Haven't seen any commonalities among the reports that I can tell at the moment.

Copy and Paste Doesn't Work in Windows

Copy and paste does not work in iTunes 9.1.0.79 in Windows 7.
When I select songs in a playlist to copy to a folder in Windows 7, I can select all and copy. But nothing appears when I try to paste those songs. Paste is grayed out.
(Or is copy and paste supposed to work only within iTunes?)
Any help in solving this problem would be appreciated.

Correct.
You are copying the text from the columns displayed in iTunes.
You can paste that into a text document.
To assist others which may have the same question and see this topic, what was your solution?
Just drag the songs from iTunes to the folder you want.

Cut and Paste doesn't work in lots of apps

I was surprised that cut and paste does not work in Twitter, in App descriptions and other places. It's nice that it works on web sites and email text, notes, etc. But, am I wrong about this?

That's because cut and paste to a web page isn't the same copy and paste from it. Your first post (and the title of this thread) referred to +cutting and pasting to+ a twitter web page.
You can copy text from anywhere, but you can +cut and paste+ only to editable fields.

Copy & Paste Doesn't Work

I'm using InDesign CS3 on a couple of different Macs on Leopard and Snow Leopard. When I save a document I usually copy (command-C) the name in the "Save as" field, create a new folder, and then paste (command-V) the name into the "Name of new folder" field, and finally save the document into the newly created folder. In previous versions of InDesign (and every other application) this worked fine. Now, in CS3, when I go to paste into the new folder field nothing happens. So, I have to stop, grab the mouse and select Paste from the Edit menu. Is there a way to restore the keyboard Paste command?

Archivelink, OAOR, setting viewer inplace doesn't work for class name PREL

I use archivelink. I configured repository (OAC0) using HTTP content server. I add protocol HTTP to configuration. In OAOR transaction I can see a documents stored by OAWD transaction. In OAG1 transaction I set option Include ECL Control. When I activated in-place option in OAOR transaction. I can view document from class name for example PICTURES in inplace viewer but when I want to view a documents from a class PREL the viewer is open in new window. The area for a viewer i OAOR transaction is empty. I want to view image TIF documents joined to PREL class using inplace function. What am I doing wrong? How can I resolve this problem? Any suggestions?
My operating system: Windows XP. SAP system: SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7. SAP GUI: for Windows in version 720.

I think this is exactly part of the problem. A lot of people think that SDN is here to provide learnings to consultants when in reality, the purpose of this is not to help newbies or potential consultants learn, but to provide the best answers to problems for customers. The idea is not that consultants should have the opportunity to post answers to questions and be corrected if they are wrong, the purpose is for consultants to post answers to questions when they are sure they are right. Yes, they won't be right all the time, but they should at least be sure about it, rather than guessing.
I also don't think people are fully aware of the problems their answers create. As an example, I cringe every time I see someone ask how to do an object link to a purchase order. The reason for this is because some new consultant is always going to post the way to do it. The reason this is a problem is that SAP DMS should not be used for invoices, so in effect, all they are doing is giving the consultant/customer a work around to solve the problem in the wrong way. This may not seem like an issue, but the cost implications of doing is are astronomical when the company builds an entire solution on SAP DMS, including workflow, and then has to re-migration this solution to the correct area in a couple of years when they find out. In reality, this little post could cost a couple a couple of hundred thousand dollars. The roll on effect is even more damaging, because they get given points for the correct answer, so the next time they post exactly the same thing. Other people see the post and before you know it, there are 100 customers out there who have implemented the wrong solution to solve a problem and nobody knows why.
As another example, I sometimes see someone suggested a user reinstall a content server without knowing the nature of the problem. There are cost implications to this advice, particularly where the basis skills are provided by a third party. In some cases, company X may provide SAP DMS skills while company Y provides basis. When he tells the basis consultant to reinstall the content server, the cost is on the company, not on the consultant.
This problem often stems from a lack of knowledge on the consultants side because they are self taught and therefore haven't bothered to understand the basic architecture behind content management in SAP. This means they don't understand what documents should be stored where and see SAP DMS as a total solution to solve all problems. This is one of the reasons why SAP is pushing to stop people posting beginner questions on SDN where the consultants haven't bothered to attend training because its the customer that suffers, not the consultant. If the consultant learns the correct way later, it doesn't affect him, the customer on the other hand has a solution built in the wrong area of SAP that doesn't support growth or expansion of technologies because they aren't integrated into that area.

Copy and paste doesn't work

I have attempted to copy values using copy/paste. When I apply the paste nothing is put in the designated cell. I have attempted to copy titles as well and they were not pasted.
I opened a new spreadsheet as a test and found that the copy/paste technique works on it. Why does this work on one spreadsheet and not the other? Have I turned something off or on which prevents this from working on the spreadsheet? Is there a preference that is involved?
I am running Snow Leopard on an iMac.

I had the same problem with a Numbers '09 SS that I got as an email attachment. I couldn't copy and paste cells, no matter what was in the cells. I couldn't move cells or groups of cells. The only thing I could do was highlight the contents of one cell and copy and paste that. But that gets old fast.
So I tried exporting the SS as an Excel document (I don't have Excel, but it doesn't matter) and then opening it again in Numbers. It Worked!! Now I can move and copy and paste cells, columns, rows.

What's up with this now?
This is a fresh installation of CS3 on a Mac Pro G5. Pasting
in text from Word or Excel won't work in Design View, but it does

I've been doing this for a while now on another machine,
using CS2.
What am I missing? Did I overlook something? I've checked in
the Preferences, but besides the usual choices for pasting, I don't
see why this won't work.
Ideally, I'm trying to improve my process of placing tabular
data from Excel. It's a pain to paste in information cell by cell.
Why can't I paste-in ANY text of any kind in Design View?

Copy and Paste doesn't work inside compound clips

If I have two compound clips, when I try to copy some clips from inside one, then open the other compound clip and paste, nothing happens.
However, if I try the same on a project timeline paste works.
This is really annoying as I cannot move a clip from one scene to another when I have set up my scenes as compound clips.

They were created in 10.0.8.
Are you definitely going into two separate compound clips?
For example, If I explode one of the compound clips on a timeline then paste works again. That still means I need separate projects for each scene which is a pain.
What I would like in FCP X, is to be able to have more than one timeline open simulataneously, so I can drag relevant clips between them. I am finding with a documentary that I am editing, where the story is not obvious and scripted in advance, that developing story idea sections as compound clips is really incovenient. I often realise that clips there were in one section work better in another. This was much easier in FCP 7 where you can open two timelines and drag between them.
I hope apple add the ability to open multiple timelines.

In Google Doc, Paste doesn't work with Dvorak -qwerty command.

Command V does a Command K instead. Everything else seems to work fine. So you can't paste on the Google Doc with a shortkey when you are on the DQ mode (Dvorak, qwerty command keys)

Sounds like a question for the Google Docs support people.

Paste doesn't work in IE8+Sharepoint 2013

I try to edit SharePoint 2013 list item in IE8 using Ctrl+V. But nothing happened, copied text wasn't pasted, only cursor stuck. It does not happen every time, but very often.
How can I fix this?

Does this issue only occur when you copy/paste in sharepoint 2013 in IE8? In other websites or word, excel, the copy/paste function is just working fine, right?
Do you have any clipboard management utilities installed, you may have one that is malfunctioning or compatible, if so, uninstall. (Or if this issue occurred after installing some new program or ActiveX control, uninstall for a test)
Clear the browser history, cookies, and caches in IE
Try use no add-ons mode, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click
Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
Perform a security scan, in case sometimes a virus or malcious software can cause this issue.

Cut, Copy, and Paste doesn't work for some Project files

We have some Project files where the Cut, Copy, and Paste function is not working. Suspecting corruption, I tried doing a "Save for Sharing", to no avail.
Is there a switch setting that we are missing?
We are using Project Server v2010 with SP2. Our Project Pro clients are on SP2.

It could be due to a enterprise global corruption. Does it happen on a specific enterprise view? Does it work well in the default Gantt view?
Try to open the enterprise global and make a copy of the table with the same fields and attributes, then replace the old table with the new one in all the relevant views.

Copy and paste doesn't work well in Microfsoft Office

When I want to copy and paste text in a document I select the text with my trackpad. Because I have to do it repetitive and quickly I use the apple c button while my finger is on the trackpad.
I discovered it is not possible to have your finger on the trackpad and press the apple c button at the same time in Microsoft Office. It will not copy anything. A successful copy/paste action is only possible when your fingers are not at the trackpad.
Does anyone knows a solution for this? Thanks!
