Paste doesn't work in IE8+Sharepoint 2013

I try to edit SharePoint 2013 list item in IE8 using Ctrl+V. But nothing happened, copied text wasn't pasted, only cursor stuck. It does not happen every time, but very often.
How can I fix this?

Does this issue only occur when you copy/paste in sharepoint 2013 in IE8? In other websites or word, excel, the copy/paste function is just working fine, right?
Do you have any clipboard management utilities installed, you may have one that is malfunctioning or compatible, if so, uninstall. (Or if this issue occurred after installing some new program or ActiveX control, uninstall for a test)
Clear the browser history, cookies, and caches in IE
Try use no add-ons mode, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click
Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
Perform a security scan, in case sometimes a virus or malcious software can cause this issue.

    Currently I have a Sharepoint 2010 Server farm.
    One server contains the database and DNS server
because it is the the domain controller.
    The other server Contains the Sharepoint 2010 Server software
and is the the application server where applications such as Metadata,
UPs, etc, reside (including web applications with sites built with the UI).
    Now I am going to change to Sharepoint 2013 Server because currently
there is no newer version of Sharepoint available.
    I am ready to rebuild the current Sharepoint 2010 farm configuration into
a Sharepoint 2013 Server farm from scratch.
    The question is what do needs to be added and\or changed to make the current
Sharepoint 2010 Server farm configuration work as a Sharepoint 2013 Server farm?

There is no direct in-place uprade method for SharePoint 2010 to 2013. You need to create a new SharePoint 2013 farm from scratch and attach service and content databases to upgrade them. Check out Upgrade
to SharePoint 2013 for more information about the process.
If you have another server, you would install SharePoint 2013 on this. If you don't, you'll need to remove SharePoint 2010 from your existing server and then install SharePoint 2013. Check out Hardware
and software requirements for SharePoint 2013 before starting to make sure your server meets the minimum requirements for SharePoint 2013:
Web server or application server in a three-tier farm
Pilot, user acceptance test, or production deployment of SharePoint Server 2013 or SharePoint Foundation 2013.
12 GB memory
64-bit, 4 processor cores
80 GB for system drive

Copy Paste doesn't work during and after a remote login session

Hi
I am using a Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 laptop to login into Linux. I am using Putty and Xming to SSH and view the desktop. Whenever I start a session the copy paste functionality gets disabled in my laptop,i.e., I cannot copy text from one text
file to another or within the same text file. The copy paste doesn't work even upon closing the connection.
From what I have gathered it is not possible to copy from one computer(host) to another(guest) during a remote login session but I am not able to copy within my windows laptop.
Is there some setting that I need to change to prevent it from happening? What are the possible solutions?

Are you able to copy and paste in the putty session, with mouse or keyboard?

Please restart your PC to check whether you can get back the copy and paste function. It can be caused by some compatibility issue.
Please also run "sfc /scannow", check if it find and fix any errors.

Paste doesn't work on IPad, on sites that use frames

I work for MindBody Inc. and a client of ours brought to my attention that paste simply doesn't paste on our site. This is quite annoying for them, and in trying to find a fix, I discovered that a fairly moderate bug in Safari on the IPad. Paste just simply doesn't work in frames.
Does anyone know how I would go about submitting a bug to Apple?

When browsing the frameTest.html paste doesn't work. It shows up but clicking it pastes nothing.
Going to brianTest.html, paste works as expected.

Same problem with Atomic Web Browser on the websites using frames.
All the "identify web browser as" options have been tested, unsuccessfully.
It seems that the new iPad 4.2 iOS version solves the problem. I will test it on monday and post the results here. Stay tuned, or check it by yourself...

Home Sharing doesn't work on my iMac (2013)

Hi,
I have an iMac 2013, all my music and movies are on it.
Home Sharing is enabled.
I have the iMac, an iPhone, an iPad and an Apple TV all on the same network, sponsored by a Time Capsule.
None of the 3 devices can connect to the iMac library. The Apple TV doesn't see it. When I add the library in the Remote app of the iPhone and iPad, I have to enter the code in iTunes but then after the app is "looking for the library" without finding it.
The main reason was for me to load my movies from the Apple TV in my living room, but it doesn't work as it can see the Home Sharing. I can though AirPlay the iMac on the Apple TV (so definitely on the same network).
Any idea? I've done the whole bunch of crap from Apple, nothing works. Rebooted like 20 times each.

I brought my macbook air at home, everything worked perfectly: iPhone, iPad and Apple TV can connect. So basically I guessed that the issue was coming from the iMac, something preventing it to be discovered. I've checked the bonjour broadcasting and oh, surprise, the iMac wasn't broadcasting... Weird because it's a setup from a Time Machine, the environment I am running currently on the macbook air.
Anyway, if this can help someone else:
I've ran:
ps aux | grep mDNS
and saw that for the iMac the daemon was launched with the argument -NoMulticastAdvertisements.
I've setup the daemon to run back as normal and restarted the computer:
sudo defaults write /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder ProgramArguments -array /usr/sbin/mDNSResponder -launchd
After the reboot, everything works flawlessly (it has never worked before for the 6 months I had the Apple TV).
Also interesting discovery and I think it's new because I don't remember being able to do that before, but some of my devices are on the separate 5Ghz network, some are on the 2.4Ghz and they can still all communicate flawlessly. I can use AirPlay on the Export Express that is on the 2.4 from the iMac that is on the 5Ghz, and I can access the iMac library from whatever band. Pretty nice!

is working fine with environment Office web apps not configured with Sharepoint.

According to your description, my understanding is that the add new document link was not working on machine where Office web apps set up with this SharePoint server after you upgraded SharePoint team sites
from 2010 to 2013.
For your issue, it can be caused by integrating Office Web Apps with upgraded SharePoint Site.
Firstly please make sure claims-based authentication is used by the SharePoint web application that is used to create the new document. Only web applications that use claims-based authentication can open
files in Office Web Apps. To determine the authentication provider for a web application, follow these steps:
1.In SharePoint 2013 Central Administration, click Manage web applications.
2.Select the web application that you want to check, and click Authentication Providers on the ribbon.
The authentication provider must be displayed as Claims Based Authentication for Office Web Apps to work correctly with the web application. To resolve this issue, you can delete the web application and recreate
it using claims-based authentication, or you can change the authentication method of the web application.
Secondly, make sure the WOPI zones match on the SharePoint 2013 and the Office Web Apps Server farm.
To do this, run the following command on the SharePoint Server:
Get-SPWopiZone
The result will be one of the following:.
internal-https
internal-http
external-https
external-http
Next, run the following command on the SharePoint Server.
Get-SPWOPIBinding
In the output, look for WopiZone: zone. If the results from Get-SPWopiZone don’t match the zone that is returned by Get-SPWOPIBinding, run the Set-SPWOPIZone -Zone cmdlet on the SharePoint Server to change
the WOPI zone to match the result from Get-SPWOPIBinding.
If not work, you can try to disconnect SharePoint 2013 from Office Web Apps Server and re-configure Office Web Apps for SharePoint 2013.

Filter base on Person or Group column does not work correctly in sharepoint 2013

I have a list that contain "Person or Group"column that set "Allow Multiple Selections" to yes.
In sharepoint 2010 I create view and filter it base on this person or group column equal to [Me]. And it's work correctly.
Now in sharepoint 2013 when I filter view, base on this person or group column equal to [Me], it does not show me any items, although list has data that person or group column set to me.
What's wrong?

If you want to filter the list view when current user is in the group, then I recommend to use theMembership comparator in the
query and add it to the view page in SharePoint Designer:

Copy/Paste doesn't work in Address Bar and Smart Search Field

Yeah, that's true. Say, I copied a sentence from a site. When I try to paste that sentence into 'Smart Search Field' and press 'Enter'. It doesn't work! Same thing happens when I try to paste a URL into Address Bar/Smart Address Field. What's going on? Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I've got that too. It's not clear why it hits some people and not others. Haven't seen any commonalities among the reports that I can tell at the moment.

OWA not working in some Sharepoint 2013 sites... but not all?

I have a SharePoint 2013 farm connected to Office Web Apps, with a number of sharepoint web applications(mostly legacy sites, created before my time here). I have created three new web apps and, when I try to preview documents using OWA (or, in fact, open
them or edit them in browser) I get an assortment of errors, from "Sorry, we couldn't open this presentation due to a problem" (PPTX) to "Sorry, there was a problem opening this document" (DOCX).
I can use OWA in the existing web applications - what have I not done properly with the new ones?!

According to your description, my understanding is that the OWA cannot work in newly created web applications in SharePoint 2013.
Did you configure the external access for the newly web applications and you opened the documents from external zone?
If yes, then the issue may be due to the WOPI zone for external zone was not configured.
I recommend to run the command below to see if the issue still occurs:
Remove-SPWOPIBinding –All:$true
New-SPWOPIBinding -ServerName <WacServerName>
Get-SPWOPIZone
If you configure the external access for the web applications, then run the command below after running the command above:
Set-SPWOPIZone -zone "external-https" or Set-SPWOPIZone -zone "internal-http".

Copy and Paste Doesn't Work in Windows

Copy and paste does not work in iTunes 9.1.0.79 in Windows 7.
When I select songs in a playlist to copy to a folder in Windows 7, I can select all and copy. But nothing appears when I try to paste those songs. Paste is grayed out.
(Or is copy and paste supposed to work only within iTunes?)
Any help in solving this problem would be appreciated.

Correct.
You are copying the text from the columns displayed in iTunes.
You can paste that into a text document.
To assist others which may have the same question and see this topic, what was your solution?
Just drag the songs from iTunes to the folder you want.

Cut and Paste doesn't work in lots of apps

I was surprised that cut and paste does not work in Twitter, in App descriptions and other places. It's nice that it works on web sites and email text, notes, etc. But, am I wrong about this?

That's because cut and paste to a web page isn't the same copy and paste from it. Your first post (and the title of this thread) referred to +cutting and pasting to+ a twitter web page.
You can copy text from anywhere, but you can +cut and paste+ only to editable fields.

Paste Doesn't Work in Destination Name

Found this bug today. In LabVIEW 2013 SP1 Windows 7 x64. Make a new empty project. Make an installer in the build specifications (save it first) go to the Destinations category, then try to paste a string that is in the clipboard into the Destination Name string control. You will get "v" because it looks like it doesn't handle a paste operation for some reason.

You are correct that you cannot paste into that field in LabVIEW 2013. Other fields in the installer build (dialog information) allow the user to paste into the field.

Copy and paste doesn't work

I have attempted to copy values using copy/paste. When I apply the paste nothing is put in the designated cell. I have attempted to copy titles as well and they were not pasted.
I opened a new spreadsheet as a test and found that the copy/paste technique works on it. Why does this work on one spreadsheet and not the other? Have I turned something off or on which prevents this from working on the spreadsheet? Is there a preference that is involved?
I am running Snow Leopard on an iMac.

I had the same problem with a Numbers '09 SS that I got as an email attachment. I couldn't copy and paste cells, no matter what was in the cells. I couldn't move cells or groups of cells. The only thing I could do was highlight the contents of one cell and copy and paste that. But that gets old fast.
So I tried exporting the SS as an Excel document (I don't have Excel, but it doesn't matter) and then opening it again in Numbers. It Worked!! Now I can move and copy and paste cells, columns, rows.

This is a fresh installation of CS3 on a Mac Pro G5. Pasting
in text from Word or Excel won't work in Design View, but it does
in Code View.
I've been doing this for a while now on another machine,
using CS2.
What am I missing? Did I overlook something? I've checked in
the Preferences, but besides the usual choices for pasting, I don't
see why this won't work.
Ideally, I'm trying to improve my process of placing tabular
data from Excel. It's a pain to paste in information cell by cell.
Why can't I paste-in ANY text of any kind in Design View?

Copy and Paste doesn't work inside compound clips

If I have two compound clips, when I try to copy some clips from inside one, then open the other compound clip and paste, nothing happens.
However, if I try the same on a project timeline paste works.
This is really annoying as I cannot move a clip from one scene to another when I have set up my scenes as compound clips.

They were created in 10.0.8.
Are you definitely going into two separate compound clips?
For example, If I explode one of the compound clips on a timeline then paste works again. That still means I need separate projects for each scene which is a pain.
What I would like in FCP X, is to be able to have more than one timeline open simulataneously, so I can drag relevant clips between them. I am finding with a documentary that I am editing, where the story is not obvious and scripted in advance, that developing story idea sections as compound clips is really incovenient. I often realise that clips there were in one section work better in another. This was much easier in FCP 7 where you can open two timelines and drag between them.
I hope apple add the ability to open multiple timelines.
