Paste from clipboard does not include formatting although the option is set

Hi,
this worked for weeks and is part of my workflow (that's why I do not want to import the docx file). But inspite the option is set the formattings now are not included anymore.
Happens since the update to 7.5.3 but I do not know this exactly. If I use ID6 it works but I need ID5.5 for some reason (plugin)!
Ideas anybody for this strange behaviour?

Not only - paragraph and character formats as well as local formatting.
But the problem is solved thanks to Hans Haesler from the www.hilfdirselbst.ch-Forum:
I moved the "Indesign Defaults"-file from the ID-standard folder thereby forcing ID5.5 to recreate it. And that's it: after that it works again.

Creating pdf from clipboard does not import images or formatting

Creating PDF from clipboard works perfect in acrobat X however in acrobat XI no images are imported and the text just defaults to times roman font. My wife uses acrobat for her craft patterns and copies from the web all the time with no issues in Acrobat X. She tried it on Acrobat XI and it just looks like garbage. The text is there but the images that were copied along with the text are not. I have examples that she did using the exact same clipboard in both X and XI.

Yes, the procedure for copying info to the clipboard is similar for a Mac and a PC. I select the info (in this case, text and graphics) with the mouse, and can copy it to the clipboard with either Command-C (Mac equivalent of ctrl-C), or by right-clicking on the highlighted info and choosing "copy" from the pop-up window. No, you are not missing anything. All of the web page parts are in the clipboard. The problem is that only the text is showing up when I use the create PDF from clipboard option in AA XI. I do not have a graphics package installed; however, if I paste the clipboard contents into Word, both the text and graphics show up.
I checked the PDF created with my AA XI and found the text as text and the the graphic as graphic, not simply a graphic as you suggested. Is it possible the graphic is shown with a place holder or just space for the graphic. If that is the case, check the preferences that you have "view large images" turned on.
As I explained ad nauseum, the PDF I try to create with AA XI using create PDF from clipboard does not include the graphics; it only has the text. I just checked the preferences and "view large images" is turned on. I could not find any other preference settings that would seem to help with the problem I am having.
I can paste the clipboard contents directly into Word and print the document to a PDF. When I do that, though, I usually have to spend a lot of time editing the Word document, because the contents are not in the same format. The paragraphs are usually squashed together, or the photos are too large and I have to change the size. This just takes up more time than I have to spend.
The bottom line is that it seems to me Adobe must have changed something in the Mac version of AA XI that causes it to not work the same way it does in AA X. The PC version is obviously okay, because you are able to get the feature to work.
I guess I am going to have to give up on this problem and stick with using AA X.

I am installing sap 4,7 ext: 110 in cluster formed with Windows 2003 enterprise and SQL enterprise 2000, the manual of sap says to me that it installs SQL of local way in the node a of cluster, later mind to install service pack 3 in the node a, later mind to install sap in the node a, after that requests to me that realise upgrade of SQL with the Upgrade option existing installation to a clustered installation but that option does not appear to me qualified

Here is a short (not necessarily complete) list of Cluster Option Requirements
- The SQL Server binaries are installed on a local non-
shared drive (Only Node A).
- The disc for the database files and the log file are
belongs to the SQL Server Cluster Group (MSSQL).
- On node B is no SQL Server with the same name (named
instance name or default instance name ) installed.
Check the registry on node B for the branches
HLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server
and
HLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer
Deinstall the SQL Server on node B, if it exists and
delete the registry branches on node B, if they still
exists.
- The executing user for the setup has appropriate
rights on both nodes
(domain administrator).
- The SQL Server database files (master, msdb, etc.) are
on a shared disc.
- Node B is available via private and/or public net.
- The Cluster service is running on node A and on node B.
- You are using the right CD (not mat.number 51011908)
or have set the version by means of the .reg file
sqlverfix.reg (see node 377430).
- All needed discs (SQL DB, SQL Log, Quorum) are on
node A.
Please check all the requirements and run the cluster upgrade of SQL Server again.

we are deploying the SP1 via SCCM 2012 , and the success rate is around 50 %, its a Light touch installation where user will initiate the installation via Software Center ( Web based )
i was able to gather few errors , and this are the errors which failed during SP1 Installation 0x800f0828,
some errors which sccm reports display are

17031 -
1602 - User Cancelled installation
113 - No more internal file identifiers available
10070 - File handle reference is no longer available
10050 - A socket operation encountered a dead network
11170 - The task sequence manager could not successfully complete execution of the task sequence
i could not find the reason for some of the errors, also i am looking for a fix/woraround if any
Also i have noticed that in few computers the task seq failed at a place where after the sp1 installation a reboot happens and then PGP BYPASS utility is uninstalled, it did not start the PGP bypass uninstall after reboot
is there a way to cut short the Task seq and keep it simple ?
right now its like this
1. checking for prerequisite : checks for OS Name and OS version
2. installs PGP Bootgaurd Bypass
3. System Restart
4. Installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1
5. Final Restart
6. uninstall PGP Bootgaurd Bypass

HT5312 What if it does not come up with the option to reset and you do have a rescue email address?

On my account, when i select manage acount and go to password and security it does not come up with the option reset security questions and answers. Therefore i have been searching whole websites for days and contacting itunes yet i have not been told a solution yet. How do i reset it?

You are sure that you have a rescue email address on your account and not just an alternate email address ? If it is a rescue address then you should be able to go tohttps://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

Iphoto 9.6 does not seem to have the option of customizing the background of a picture with a mat text etc it did in the prior version for printing. It there a way to have that option?

I updated from Snow leopard to Yosemite
I needed to update iPhoto 8 to the newest version iPhoto 9.6
the old version allowed me to customize my photo adding a mat background colour text before printing
The new version 9.6 does not seem to have that option (that I used often)
Is it available and I just cannot seem to find it?

For printing, you may want to download and install the BorderFX plug-in. It can add borders to a photo and watermarks and annotations when exporting from iPhoto.

My iTunes browser does not have all of the options available to me

I joined iTunes in March, and ever since, I cannot search, and I do not have all of the options available to me. I need to sync my downloaded ringtones, and I do not have anything on the sidebar, like in the tutorial. Can someone please help?
Also, I cannot access my Library, and I cannot see my playlist.

Export JAR from NWDS does not include external JARs imported to project

Hi.
I'm need to develop and run a batch java program. I'm having difficulty getting the application to find the 2 external JARs at runtime.
For compile time, I have physically imported these 2 JARs into the project. To add them to the build path, I selected "Add Jar". I now see the JARs in the project.
I've also update the Manifest file appropriately by adding this line.
Class-Path: com.sap.security.api.jar logging.jar
However, when running the program from the command line, I get class not found errors.
I noticed that the exported application JAR does NOT contain the needed 2 JARs even though they clearly exist under the project.
Am I going about this correctly? Why do external JARs not get included in the application JAR that is created? Can I somehow force them to be included?

Hi Kevin,
why don´t you just add the two additional JAR files to the classpath at runtime:
java -cp x1.jar;x2.jar -jar yourJar.jar
This is the easiest way to start your Java app.
Have a look at java - the Java application launcher for details.

Draging (copy) file from Bridge does not include XMP?

I do my RAW edits after backing up my files to external storage. Once finished I just copy over the XMP files. All's well.
Today I did it in a different way and dragged and dropped thumbnails from the Bridge browser directly to the backup drive folder (using the Windows file browser). I expected both the original (NEF) and its associated XMP file would be copied over. I thought selecting the one automatically selected both. But this did not work. Only the NEF was copied. Yet if I have a second Bridge browser window open to the backup folder, I can drag (copy) the same thumbnail to it (Bridge browser to Bridge browser) and the XMP is included in the transfer.
Is this normal behaviour? Am I missing a preference setting?
I would have expected that dragging a RAW thumbnail from the Bridge browser to a Windows file browser folder to include bother the RAW file and its associated XMP file.

System no longer does session restore but when trying to configure, it does not provide me with the option to show windows and tabs from last session

Before I updated the latest version of Firefox, every time the browser shuts down in error, I would get the System Restore feature which was really nice. Now, this no longer happens and when I went to configure this ability, it does not even provide me with the option to select to show windows and tabs from the last session. How can I get the restore session feature working again?

FF tabbar does not appear even though the option is checked.

I just got a new hard drive and installed FF 12 and transferred my profile. My profile was from FF 11 and I just hadn't gotten around to updating. My profile and everything works fine so far, but every time I start FF the tabbar is not there. I must manually go under view and check tabbar each and every time, even though the option "always show tabbar" is checked under tools>options>tabs.

Exporting from iPhoto5 does not include complete playlist

When exporting from iPhoto5, only the first selected audio file from an iTunes music playlist is included in the .MOV output. When I Play the Slideshow in iPhoto all of the music items are included corectly.

Right now, this seems to be a know problem/bug. There have been some work-arounds. Don't know if the problem is with iPhoto, Quicktime or a combo of both.
-From Bob Worthington: re-ripping the cuts I wanted as background music for the DVD as a single cut in iTunes. I then made a playlist containing the one extended cut of music.
-Old Toad: share to Quicktime from iPhoto and then import the resulting movie into iMovie you can extract and delete the audio from the video and add the two songs to the video and save.
Quicktime Pro-open the movie and bring up the Movie Properties menu window. In the top window select the audio track and delete it.
If you want more than one song you'll have to join them together with iMovie or some other application. Then open that joined file with QT Player. Then do a select all and copy. Now go to the QT window of the movie and select the Edit->Add to Movie menu option. You don't want to scale it because it will change the play speed of the audio unless it's time is exactly the same as the movie.
You could go the other way, open the movie, select all and copy, and then past with scaling to the audio. That will change the speed of the movie and transitions to fit the audio track. In this case the resulting video file will have the name of the audio track file that you started with.
You may have to play with it a bit to get exactly what you want. Be sure to work with copies of all the media files for the project.
-Peter Burtwistle: I opened the Qt movie that iPhoto makes when you export to iDVD and removed the sound track.
Then made a new soundtrack by opening all three songs in QT, then cutting and pasting them together.
Finally use QT Pro's 'Add to Movie" option to add the soundtrack to the original movie.
This worked well and was fast to do too.
-Joe Lombardo: I ended up having to extend the songs by 20 seconds so I brought them all into GarageBand and made some edits. Then I exported them all to iTunes as a single track and used that for the slideshow

Deleted a message from Mail does not move it to the trash folder

I am a brand new mac user, so it's possible I just don't know what I am doing yet.
I have added my IMAP email account to Mail with the following mailbox behavior:
When I delete a message from my Inbox, in Mail it appears to move to the Trash folder. However, if I log into the webmail interface I can see it actually still exists in the Inbox, but has been marked as deleted (there is a line through it). It is not actually moving the message on the server into a trash folder, like iPad does. If I pull up the Trash folder on my iPad, it does automagically reflect the item I deleted. However, on my phone (not an iPhone), the messages are missing from the Trash folder.
How do I configure Mail on my Mac to behave like Mail on the iPad? When I delete a message, I want it to move the message into the Trash folder on the server.

I figured it out. Mail created a new folder called, "Deleted Messages." I was looking in "Deleted Items," which was an old folder.

How to configure TREX so it does not include title in the index created

Hi all
Can someone tell me where I can find the TREX configuration that disables the indexing of the html title. If I for instance want to index www.sap.com, and I do not want the title = "SAP - Business Software Solutions Applications and Services" to be indexed, how do I do that?
If I were to index www.sap.com I would not be interested in getting a hit for all pages when a user searches for "software" or "solutions" for example.
Any help will be rewarded.

Thank you for your post. It was exactly was I was searching for, and it didn't come up on my searches in SAP documentation. As of now it seems to work as intended on our DEV system.
Only thing about the documentation was that I had to change the std.html-config file in the SYS-folder of the TREX installation folder in order for it to work (the std.html-config file was located in two different folders).
