Paste function no longer works for me.

I have only noticed in the past couple of days that the 'paste' function when I right-click no longer works, it's greyed out. I can copy no problem but when it comes to pasting it, I can't get it to work. I have tried 'ctrl+v', that doesn't work for me, I have reset Firefox and still it's not there. I have seen previous posts about this but it seems to be from long ago (sorry if this has been asked recently but I never saw the post if it has).
The paste function works for everything else, like Chrome and Word etc. it's only Firefox I have problem with.
Does anyone else know what I can do?

It's unusual that the standard Windows cut, copy and paste do not work.
Have you noticed any difference between dumb form controls (like on this site) versus rich text editors (like on webmail sites)?
In case one of your extensions is involved, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled ''(Flash and other plugins still run)''
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

Copy and Paste function no longer works in version 3.6

Ever since I upgraded to version 3.6 (finally after waiting for all of the crash bugs to be fixed after having to downgrade last fall) now the simple copy & paste function won't work when copying from one webpage to put link or paragraph of text into the body of an e-mail, through any of my web based mail services (Yahoo, Onebox, etc.)
So, when doing all of this version updating how could Mozilla allow such a simple function used in every program since the invention of the computer... to be disabled?

Im having this problem, and although it took time to tell because it is intermittent, it still happens when all add-ons & theme are manually disabled.
I would have to test safe mode a little bit longer to be sure it didnt happen there.
It also affects other programs (like my metapad- notepad replacement) as long as firefox is open, but does not when the browser is closed, as far as I can tell.
(version 3.6.12)
It may or may not be related, but there's also a flicker
(black screen in page window for an eyeblink) when firefox
opens or returns from maximized state, and when it opens a menu.
Both bugs only recently started.

Just upgraded to iOS5 last night, and I just noticed I can no longer copy/paste from Safari to Office HD. It goes through all the motions, but there is no text pasted. I tried rebooting, same deal. I can paste the text in notes, but it doesn't work in Office. Fix anyone?

I too am having the same problem copying and pasting from safari after upgrading to ios5. I am able to copy and paste from normal web pages, it is when I attempt to copy and paste from a website that is using java script.
When I go to any other program and paste it does not paste the information from the java script page but continues to paste the information from a regular web page.
I had no problem copying and pasting from JavaScript pages before the upgrade to ios5. I have tried to turn off JavaScript in the settings with no avail.

All of a sudden, my "attach to email" function no longer works. If I open a PDF in Acrobat 9.0, and I try to "attach to email," nothing happens. This feature has always worked for me in the past. When I check for updates, Acrobat reports that I'm up to date. I recently updated Flash Player 16 and Reader XI (11.0.10).
My OS is Windows 7, 64 bit, and I use MS Outlook 2010.

Scan function no longer working on my Printer

Recently moved locations and had to re set up my PC. Since then the scan function no longer works. I get the error message "Scanner reported an error", "Failed to open a session on the device". I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP drivers, i have checked the internet connections and all are working. Actually have had a lot of troubles earlier with the rinter and the scanner re wireless connections but hoped to have finally overcome these.
Not part of the problem but a real gripe as to what is the purpose of wireless devices when they never work as well as the ethernet connected devices, someone really needs to get this sorted <gripe over>.
Can anyone help me please to get my system back up and running. I surgent now as currently on paternity leave and need to get some administrative issues doen from home in the next couple of days.

Thank you for trying my recommendations, I believe this is a wireless issue. Let's go ahead and start troubleshooting the network:
I would like you to shut down the Router, Printer and Mac in that order. Wait atleast 60 seconds, then power on the items in the way they were shut down. Re-attempt the scan. Was this successful or are you still getting the error message?
If you are still getting the error message, let's try Pinging the Mac and testing the connection, click on the link below:

If pings are successful the issue is not likely communication, instead it is probably a firewall blocking the scanning communication. Continue below:
To turn on firewall protection:
1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security, and then click Firewall.
2.   Open the Firewall pane of Security preferences   
3. Click the lock icon to unlock it, and then type an administrator name and password.  
4. Click Start to turn on Firewall.
To allow only specified applications and services to connect:
1. Click Advanced.  
2. Click the Add (+) button, and then select the application or service in the dialog that appears.

Places function no longer works on iPhoto.

My Mac has OSX 10.6.8 and iPhoto 8.1.2. The Places function no longer works. I can select Places that I used on earlier photos, but it no longer locates new Places on the map. I have read other people's discussions of this problem on the web, but I am not technical and do not understand much of what they say. Any suggestions for a no-technical person would be welcome.

I have this same problem on my new MacBook Pro. The biggest problem is that the embedded Google will NOT find most things that Google Maps finds. For example, the Oberoi Amarvillas in Agra India.
I also can't move the pin for any of the places it already knows. I wonder if this might be related to trackpad settings? I can't find one that looks like it might help.
I can find locations using their map coordinates (for example, 27.168647, 78.049150) and then go back and rename the place to something more helpful. But I can't fine tune the size of the location, which makes it hard to have highly localized places. And it gets the name of the state wrong, which makes it hard to find locations by general location.
This puts a damper on processing photos right away, if I can't record them while I still remember their locations.

Apple Color Picker Erase Swatch function no longer works.

It was always possible to erase one of the swatches in the ubiquitous Apple Color Picker by dragging a white square over the swatch square you wanted to erase. Now that function doesn't work anymore. Very odd. You can add new colors as always, you just can't erase them. In any application where I use the Color Picker this function no longer works. For example Pixelmator, Rapidweaver, etc.
Any ideas?

Sorry, I read too much into it. I guess I couldn't imagine it was just scrolling. I was thinking you were talking about going from page to page with a swipe gesture.
Given that, their software is either broken or something is interfering. Any other programs have a problem with two-finger scrolling?

Password Keeper Find Function no longer works

I just upgraded to a BlackBerry Curve and was very happy when my Password Keeper just showed up, accepted my old password and had my database. However, the find function no longer works. If I type A, is says no passwords found even though I can see a bunch as soon as I open it. So how does one fix and non-functioning password keeper find function. It is painful trying to get to the ones that start with "Z!"

My iphone4 vibrate function no longer works

Can someone tell me how to troubleshoot why my vibrate function no longer works. It just stopped working a few days ago. I've not changed any settings. I've tried turnin it off then back on (both the phone and the settings) and nothing seems to work.
