Paste html container at specific location?

I have an HTML container that I would like to repeat with slightly different content at the bottom of the page.
If I simply paste the HMTL it goes to a particular spot towards the top of my page so I thought I would try to copy and paste it onto a new layer. As soon as I try to move it though, the content below the original content moves with it, even though it is all on it's own on a blank layer.
What am I doing wrong? I have a feeling that it has something to do with the bottom of the page marker as that seems to control where new html is pasted. My page, as you can see, extends far below it. Perhaps I misunderstood what it was as I dragged the 'browser bottom' down to make room for my content.

It's HTML code (HTML5 video player) in a container.When I drag it or copies of it, everything that is below it moves and I can't move it below the other content. If I could even just figure out how to paste new HTML in a specific spot I would do that but no matter where I put my cursor, when I paste this or any HTML, it goes into the same spot on that page and re-arranges all my elements below that spot. I can't figure out how Muse decides where to insert pasted HTML.

It sounds like you may want to create a form field in your PDF file, which your sales personnel can paste text into. You can use either Acrobat or Adobe FormsCentral to create PDF forms. For instructions, see FormsCentral Help | Create a form or Acrobat Help | Forms.

All the information I have seen about Named Anchors deals with information that is contained on the same page. I am looking to go to a specific location on a different page. Is this possible using Named Anchors? If so, how?
Sure it is.
Place a named anchor on your destination page near the bottom of your page for this test. And name your anchor 1.
On the parent page, your link will look like this:
<a href="some_page.html#1">this is a link to named anchor 1</a>
Save both pages and test in browser.

Linking to a specific location in a web page is not working

I am using anchor tags for linking to a specific location in a web page . This Page contains some images(.bmp).
Eg:

Whenever I click on the link it moves to specific location but when the page get loaded completely , top of the page is being displayed.
My question is how can I make this link redirects directly to the particular section and stays there even after the page loads fully.

When you click your link "Click here", the SharePoint web page with anchor will not work until refresh the page, if it's the case, you can add the javascript code to refresh the page automatically as workaround per the following similar post.

I set up a link that opens another file. Is there a way to go to a specific location (i.e. bookmark) in the file automatically "on Open"?

If the newly opened file is a PDF, you should use a "Go to page view" type
link, not an "Open file" action.

Dreamweaver CS3 Paste HTML Problem

Hi, I'm a fairly basic user of Dreamweaver CS3. I used to be
able to paste HTML into webpages with no problem. I have recently
upgraded to CS3 and that menu command (Paste HTML) seems to have
gone. Can anybody help?

If you want to paste the actual HTML code into a page, just
switch to
Code view, and paste.
Copy, cut, and paste in Dreamweaver are context-specific. If
you copy a
section of a page in Design view, and paste it in Design
view,
Dreamweaver automatically copies and pastes the underlying
HTML. If you
copy in Code view, and paste into Design view, Dreamweaver
assumes that
you want to display the code (as you might want to do in an

tutorial), so it converts all the angle tags into HTML

Open PDF in a specific location

I want to open a PDF file from a chm file generated in RoboHELP in a specific location.

Plz read the thread on named destinations,
Gloria Mc, "Linking to within a PDF using named destinations" #1, 24 Aug 2007 1:08 pm. This thread contains info on how to create named destinations in your PDF file, and then link to them with a hyperlink (or from a command line). Also various issues w/named destinations are discussed.
You don't say what version of software you have; that would be helpful, as named destinations work in some versions and not others. Also operating system that this will be expected to work on would be good to know.
In addition to the forum thread, read one of the documents "Parameters for Opening PDF Files." The one for 8.1 is located at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/pdf_open_parameters.pdf.
If you have the correct version of Acrobat, the PDF is on a Web server, and the issues in the forum thread are addressed, you should be able to include a hyperlink to the PDF in your .chm file (which resides on someone's computer, not the Web server).

Print every email containing a specific email address for a court case

I need to print a hard copy of every email I've sent or received that contains a specific email address for legal records. Is there a function that will make this less tedious than doing searches and printing them one by one?

I think you should be able to do that with a filter.
run a search and copy all the relevant emails into a local folder for the purpose.
Use a filter and set the criteria as subject does not 0contain something like &&&&&**# that is about as improbable as a subject as a Martian in your room and select the action to print.
Now run the filter on the appropriate folder and wait for your printer to catch up.
Note I have had issues in the past with Windows printing just not keeping up with hundreds of print requests in a few seconds, but that was printing to PDF from Excel

The html container doesn't change size according to the width of the website, but instead the width of the window.

As stated. The html container doesn't change to match the content on the website (like Internet Explorer does), it changes to match the screen size. That way, when you scroll horizontally, elements disappear because the html container is the size of the screen and in a fixed position.

Is there a location aware wifi option (or app) that enables wifi at a specific location (home) and automatically disables it when you are away from the specified location?

I manually turn off my wifi when leaving home for several reasons:
1. I don't want my wifi to be on and constantly scanning wifi networks while I am away from home due to privacy reasons. Many retail stores and airports are now tracking users based on their smartphone's wifi pings. They can then store your phone's MAC address (the unique identifier of your phone) to determine how often you visit the store and where you go within the store. It's just a matter of time before they match up your phone's MAC address with your credit card/payment info and then to your identity. The only way to subvert this is to turn off your phone's wifi.
2. For security reasons: Wifi access points can track devices that broadcast their wifi signal, even if they don't ever actually connect to the access point's network. These access points can then store your device's details including your phone's MAC address. Once your phone's MAC address is discovered, it can be targeted by a hacker. In addition, there are multiple well known hacker tools that can be used to scan for smartphone wifi signals in order to detect and then hack your iphone. Bottom line: if your wifi is discoverable, then your device is hackable.
3. I believe it would save battery life if the iphone's wifi is not on and constantly scanning for networks all the time.
There are other reasons as well, but the above are my 3 main reasons for asking about this.
The reminders app is location aware - you can set reminders to alert you when you are at a specific location. So, why not provide the option (or an app) to only enable wifi when you are at home - or any other location where you have an authorized or trusted wifi?
As it is right now, the iphone's wifi is broadcasting 24/7 everywhere you go. Not great for privacy & security. When I turn off my wifi, the phone uses my 4G plan for data and GPS for location services... so wifi is not needed at all for data or location services while I am away from home (and no, wifi does not improve location accuracy, that is a fallacy... there is nothing within the wifi protocol that could ever improve location accuracy). But the point is, wifi should have a location aware option. Otherwise, it's just a matter of time before there is a headline story about how not having this feature is a huge security/privacy problem.

Understood. However, the point that I'm trying to make is that it's not the WiFi access point's security that's in question, it's having your phone's WiFi in an always-on mode that's in question. It's simple: if your phone's WiFi is on, then it is both discoverable and hackable... even when it's not connected to a WiFi network or access point. The point is that it's not secure to have your phone's WiFi in an always-on mode. It would be better for privacy and security if Apple made WiFi location aware so that it is only enabled when you are at a trusted location (e.g. your home or office). Or, at least give us the option of location aware WiFi so that each user can determine the best mode for their phone:
(1) Always-On (current default - not secure and many privacy issues).
(2) Trusted mode (only on at trusted locations).
(3) Off.

The RichTextBox has contents. At this point in the code, I do know the specific "word" in the contents, as well as the position (number of chars) where that word is located. I just need to programmatically place the cursor at that location.

I have a similar issue - my iPod nano connects and is visible in Device Manager yet invisible in My Computer and iTunes. I've tried everything I can possibly think of to try and solve this myself, all in vain.
Mine is a nano 4G. I've been using it for quite some time without the slightest problem. I have been using WINAMP instead of iTunes to manage my darling nano.
Then, one fine day I bought a new computer and the nano would not show up in My Computer, though the nano display shows "Do not disconnect". On my old computer it worked (and still works) absolutely fine with win XP as well as with win7 (the later I currently use on my new/problematic computer, which I bought last summer and that's how long I've had this problem).
Of course, after several first attempts I gave up and installed iTunes. I've tried using the Apple support article "iPod not recognized in 'My Computer' and in iTunes for Windows":
- reset
- fully charged,
- cable works fine on two other computers
- in normal or disk mode makes no difference
- tried to find anything useful in the diagnostics mode
- reinstalled iTunes several different times since then to the latest version
- I've unplugged every other USB device except for my mouse and keyboard and tried several different USB ports on my motherboard (USB 3.0 and conventional), as well as trying different USB- related options in my BIOS.
- I've never used any Mac with this ipod
- I've tried fiddling with the win7 Services by stopping and restarting them and of course
- uninstalling the iPod drivers in Device Manager. After such an uninstall the ipod would automatically be recognised and "ready for use", i.e. being invisible in My Computer.
- Attempted to find any possible third-party conflict with msconfig or the possibility that my ipod is being confused for a network drive (for which I've disconnected my HDD, leaving only my SSD with the OS).
Sometimes, iTunes would note that iPod service (or something, can't remember exactly) failed to install properly and asked to try and repair it. I would click YES! and voila - no change! The ipod would rarely show up in iTunes on my problematic computer like this:
iTunes would warn me that the nano would need restoring so I would try and do it on my haunted machine upon which iTunes would freeze like you seen in the picture.
Despite this, I've updated and restored the nano on my father's computer to the latest version without any problems. This though, did not solve my problem in any way.
I can load music to my nano through my old computer (which for me is a real pain and hassle) and the gadget works normally in terms of its disconnected functionality.
I've taken my nano to the local service for repair and they said it was fine. Mercifully, they didn't charge for the diagnostics service (gee, thanks for not ripping me off!).

I think your frmUIDRef is too far down the hierarchy to show up in GetItemsOnPage(). Try getting the IHierarchy interface from frmUIDRef and calling QueryParent(). That should get you from the kFrameItemBoss to the kMultiColumnItemBoss. Do the same again and you'll get to the kSplineItemBoss, which should appear in GetItemsOnPage().
If you're running the debug version of InDesign, you can use the Test menu to run the Diagnostics > Document Structure > Trace Content Hierarchy command, which will print out the UIDs of all the items on a page and let you see what's happening.

I am in a situation where i need to know whether a panel contains a specific component or not, like is there a specific method for that.
To clarify, example :
Suppose i have a panel

Reading XML file from specific location&Storing xmldata into related tables

I am new to xml.
My requirement is,
1) Get the xml file from specified location (C:\xmlfiles\ xmldata.xml)
2)Convert xml data in clob data.
3)store the data into related table.
and vice-versa.
What i did,
a) I got the data from related tables and converted into xmlformat using SQLX
b)converted this resultset into clob data and stored as xml file in specific location.
It uses more then ten tables.
All this help i got from AskTom site , thanks for that.
Now i have to do vise-versa, i.e. i have to perform 1), 2), 3) steps........
Please tell me proper steps to acheive it.
