'Paste Lorem Ipsum' doesn't work.

I'm on the latest MacBook Pro, running Lion 10.7.3. Text tool works fine with text either that I type in directly or that I paste from the system clipboard, but Paste Lorem Ipsum doesn't work.

Paste from powerpoint doesn't work

Hi,
I'm working between powerpoint and pages. I'm trying to copy pictures from a powerpoint and paste them into my pages document. I've tried using the menu options to copy and paste and it still doesn't work. If i copy a google image and paste into pages it works. When I try copy and pasting text from the powerpoint to pages it works. the problem is solely w/ pictures.
note that I've tried this on my iMac same pictures same versions of pages (newest 5.5.1) and powerpoint (2011, 14.3.9)
please help.

Copy/Paste Audio Configuration doesn't work for me. What am I doing wrong?

I've read all the other threads on this topic. Some say you have to save before you copy, etc., but nothing works for me. I open up a Logic song that has various Audio tracks, Aux tracks, and VI tracks. I open the Mixer and select Copy Audio Configuration. I close the project file, open up a new blank file, open the Mixer and hit Paste Audio Configuration. The only thing that happens is a single empty track gets pasted, that's it. This couldn't be broken in 8.01 AND 8.02, could it? Tell me I'm doing something wrong, please.

if you want to copy the actual channel strips, you need to go to the Environment window, select them, press copy, and paste them into the Environment window of the other song.
Audio configuration doesn't equal channel strips, but refers to how these channel stripes are configured (eg. which plugins they use).
Or you could create the audio objects (channel strips) you need to use in the new song manually, and then copy the audio configuration, because then that copy/paste process would have some objects to paste the configuration into.
You could probably even create the audio objects after you have pasted over the configuration, but I haven't checked if this works.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about on so many levels.
Why would they monitor these forums looking for problems when they already have internal and external developers/testers doing that for them?
You are obviously not a developer and you have updated your phone with an OS only meant for developers at this point.
Whats more you are talking about a problem that doesn't exist cut, copy & paste works just fine on 10.3.

Paste from Word doesn't work

In order to paste text from a Word document into a
DreamWeaver CS3 html page, I must first paste the text into the
Macintosh program TextEdit. Then I select all, copy, click into the
html page and paste. Works fine. I checked my DW preferences,
changed them to each of the 4 choices and all is the same. The
Paste and Paste Special Edit Menu items are black (not grayed out)
but when selected, nothing happens.
Any ideas about what is causing this problem? Thank
you.

Copy and paste a transition (doesn't work)

Select a transition in a sequence.
Select Edit > Copy.
Move the current-time indicator to the cut line where you want to paste the transition.
Select Edit > Paste.
Done all that. nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
So in the timeline I click on the transition. I goto edit and copy. I click on goto next edit point. In the edit menu paste is not available.

So apparently you have to
1. target your clip
2. select existing transisiton
3. Copy
4. goto next edit point
5. select clip
6. paste.
That is more than you need to do. Something is wrong. A screen shot of the timeline showing the tracks and track headers would help.
The Help advice you quoted is correct, it even works using the keyboard shortcuts.

Paste doesn't work on IPad, on sites that use frames

I work for MindBody Inc. and a client of ours brought to my attention that paste simply doesn't paste on our site. This is quite annoying for them, and in trying to find a fix, I discovered that a fairly moderate bug in Safari on the IPad. Paste just simply doesn't work in frames.
Does anyone know how I would go about submitting a bug to Apple?

When browsing the frameTest.html paste doesn't work. It shows up but clicking it pastes nothing.
Going to brianTest.html, paste works as expected.

Same problem with Atomic Web Browser on the websites using frames.
All the "identify web browser as" options have been tested, unsuccessfully.
It seems that the new iPad 4.2 iOS version solves the problem. I will test it on monday and post the results here. Stay tuned, or check it by yourself...

Lorem ipsum feature

I read about the new lorem ipsum text generator, it's really a nice and helpful feature.
I saw on the youtube that it is found at Type -> "Paste Lorem ipsum"
but I found it Type -> "Lorem ipsum" only and I tried it many times but it didn't work
I'm using windows vista

I tried it by opening a New transparent layer and selecting the tool Text icon to make a text layer. Then opened a box to add type into the layer and then the lorem ipsum selection in Type Menu will allow you to paste the paragraph or what ever it is into your layer text box...You can then highlight the text and view it in what ever font, color or attribute you want..The paragraph is in Latin maybe?. I used wide Latin font here. Have fun with it... Hope my instructions were not too confusing.

Ask him to enable his email address to receive iMessages and do the same on yours. It's in Settings > Messages.

What exactly are you trying to copy and paste?
If it's MIDI data from one istrument track in Arrange to another, this should work.
If you're trying to copy settings (ie a particular sound) from one software instrument to another, that's obviously not possible as all AU's (Audio Instruments) have different parameters and are unique, so their settings will only work for each instrument.

I tried copying a photo and pasting it in another event/group within iPhoto but the paste feature doesn't work. This wasn't an issue with both Leopard and Snow Leopard. Do you have any solutions or tips?

I bought a new MacBook Pro with OsX Lion as operating system. I use iPhoto a lot and when I tried copying a photo then pasting it to another event/group, the 'paste' feature doesn't work. This wasn't the case with Leopard and Snow Leopard where the 'paste' feature worked. What I did was to paste the photo first to the desktop before transferring it to the new event/group. I brought my Mac to the Apple store where I bought it and the technicians were themselves surprised that the 'paste' feature didn't work. Chalked it up to glitches in the Lion os. So how do we fix this? I just find it absurd that a feature that used to work in Snow Leopard has been disabled in Lion, and the user still has to undergo an additional step to make it work, when new technology is supposed to make things easier for users.
Also, hasn't anyone noticed that it takes longer for the computer to boot upon opening?

Instead of copy and paste drag the photo to the new event. Or flag it and use the add flagged photos to selected event command

It's because of the extension of the hard drive is a Windows extension ( most likely MSDOS or Ex-FAT), meaning you can only read but not write. If there are no important files (or you can copy the whole thing to your computer/mac) you can just reformat the hard drive and change the extension to NTFS (readable and writable on both windows and mac) or Mac OS Extended (readable and writable on Mac, readable on windows).
Go to DISK UTILITY
Choose the Hard Disk you intended
ERASE
You can choose either
(I personally prefer this one, you know just in case)
