Pasted images are cropped when printed

I use the Snipping Tool quite often.  Since purchasing the HP Envy 4500 printer, when I paste snipped images to Word, the image looks fine in Print Preview.  However, when I print the document, the snipped image is enlarged and does not fit in the pasted area.  I only get a portion of the image on paper.

The only solution I've found is to paste the snip in Paint, and then copy that image and paste it to Word. It is so frustrating that HP can't come up with a solution. They think it is a Microsoft problem.

  • Images cropped when printing

In Photoshop Elements 10, when I attempt to print 5X7 images on an 8.5X11 sheet in landscape mode, it reduces the image size to 3.5X4 and crops the image. The image appears correct in the print preview, but reduces and crops when printed. I have printed on both my Epson and my HP with the same results. If I open the image in Photoshop 7, it prints fine. Can anyone help?

Can you post a screen shot of your Print dialog from Photoshop Elements, it sounds like a setting might be off.

  • HP Photosmart 7200 Colors are Wrong When Printing on Photo Paper

I'm running Windows 7 and am having a problem when printing on photo paper.  The colors are off; mainly green.  The colors are fine when printing on plain paper.  I have tried printing from my computer as well as straight from the media card.  Same result.  I am also using HP Photo Premium glossy paper.  Print cartridges are brand new and are loaded correctly.
Any solutions or troubleshooting tips I can try?

  • Photos are cropped when going to print

Photos display properly when viewing but when any sort of print routine is initiated the image is seriously cropped, usually left and right sides. Trying to set print parameters, no border, etc., images are still always cropped.

Make sure the aspect ration (length to breadth) of the photo matches the aspect ratio you've chosen for printing.
In other words, if you're printing 5 x 7 make sure that the photo is cropped to that ratio, not 4:3 like many digital cameras produce.

  • Iphoto cropping images off page when printing

    Hi,
When I select 2 images in iPhoto vertically on one page in portrait, , they show in iPhoto correctly with a border around edges. However, when I hit print, they become landscape, and the top of top image is cropped off page with the bottom of the bottom photo cropped off page too.
I have reviewed all settings with no success.
In the Apple shop they suggested asking on here because they didn't know what the problem was either.
    All help gratefully accepted.
It was doing this using OSX and still is with Yosamite.

    Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
    User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

  • Multiple images are blocky when converting from powerpoint to PDF?

    Heres my problem:
If I have a powerpoint with ONE image (be it jpeg, gif, png, etc) they apper fine when you convert the document to PDF (via print>Print to PDF or by using the Acorbat plug in in Powerpoint).
    BUT
If I have 2 or more images in a powerpoint slide, the images appear blocky and sections of the images are missing. I tried to ungroup the photos and group the photos yet I get the same result. Anyone know how to correct this??
The images were originally created in Adobe Illustrator. There must be a setting in Illustrator or Powerpoint that is causing this problem but I cant figure it out.
    Thanks

Correction, it appears to be a problem with the CROP button in Powerpoint. I have a PNG file and it has two images (a map and a legend) on one png. When I crop it to only show ONE image (either the map or the legend) it makes it become blocky. So weird.

  • Apparent page AREA limitation when printing to PDF?

In the process of producing posters for technical presentations, I have many times "printed to PDF" - typically from CorelDraw - with  page sizes as large as 42" x 72". Until a couple of months ago, I was doing so with Acrobat 9 Pro under Windows XP.
Now I'm on a newer machine with Acrobat X Pro under Windows 7 64-bit. I tried to create such a PDF today at 42" x 72", using the same procedure as always, but without success - didn't ever see the usual dialog for selecting the PDF file name and destination. I tried it with a smaller page size - 36" x 72" - and it worked exactly as expected.
I embarked upon a little exploration to see, for a given page width, the maximum page length I could use before it wouldn't create a PDF. Here's what I observed:
    15" x 198.8" works, but 15" x 198.9" does not
    20" x 149.1" works, but 20" x 149.2" does not
    36" x 82.85" works, but 36" x 82.86" does not
    42" x 71.01" works, but 42" x 71.02" does not
Note that, for all of these cases, things cease to work when the area becomes just slightly greater than 2,982 square inches.
I tried some of the same page sizes for printing to PDF from a different application (Autodesk Inventor), and found the same results. It works when the page area is at or below 2,982 square inches, but fails when the area is slightly greater than that. When it fails when printing from Inventor, in addition to not seeing the usual dialog for selecting the PDF file name and destination, I'm also presented with the error message, "Could not start print job".
Does anyone have knowledge of this issue? I have searched and - so far - failed.

    Bump.
I can add now that this system has been upgraded to Acrobat XI Pro.
The problem still persists, with exactly the same behavior observed as before. I can generate a 42" x 71" page, but not a 42" x 72" page.
When trying to create a 42" x 71" page, it works correctly from CorelDraw, Autodesk Inventor, and MicroSoft PowerPoint.
    When trying to create a 42" x 72" page:
    CorelDraw - nothing happens.
Autodesk Inventor - receive error message - "Could not start print job".
MicroSoft PowerPoint - receive error message - "Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup." (and more - see attached image).

  • Image becoming distorted when printing - smartform in CRM system

We are using CRM 5.0 and have to create a smartform for the acknowledgement of the order. The output is triggered correctly but marketing want me to include an image at the top of the page. I understand that you are only able to load tif or bmp into smart forms and indeed they are printed, however when printed the image is not very clear - looks like it is resizing.
I have tried changing the image in many different ways - and using paint shop pro for uploading the image. I have found that if using TIF the only compression option that uploads is packbits. I have saved the image with as many colours as possible and then reduced it - each time the image looks rubbish! However when I view the file (from my computer) in PSP it looks ok.
I have searched the forums for help but not really found anything that useful. Does anyone have any suggestions how to get the image to come out as expected?
The image stretches across the whole width of the page and just over 3cm deep. There are quite a few colours in the image and it is fairly busy.
Driving me mad here! anyone got any ideas? Maybe I need to install additional filters or something???

managed to get this corrected using faststone image viewer and converting images to 300 DPI.

  • Results are different when printing from CS5 and CS4

A file that printed fine with Photoshop CS 4 printed very dark when printed with CS5, with no changes made to the settings. Has anyone else had this problem?

RE: "You don't indicate what Xerox printers you have"
In my first post I named it, is that the information you need?
    Docucolor 3535 using Splash 3535
That's interesting, so I have to find a way to turn off the printer's Color Management function? I mailed them, hope they can tell me how to do it easily. They usually just tell me to not use any profiles and so on, but that's the general rule in this area, I'm really tired of hearing it. Everybody seems to think profiles and LAB mode are nuclear science and I should stay away from it.
Anyway, the test image I'm using is a simple photograph (size A3, 300dpi), so no transparencies at all. I'm placing this image into an equally large ID file and print it from ID, then export it to PDF-X/3 and print it from Acrobat. Hope that helps.

  • Pasted Images are Fuzzy in Captivate

    Hey all,
I am trying to paste images taken using "snag-it" into a captivate presentation.  When the image pastes into the presentaiton, Captivate asks if I want to resize.  I have tried all of the sizes (100%, 50%, cropped, etc.) but the image always comes out fuzzy (i.e. the labels for the different fields on the screen).
So, I tried pasting it into word and then into Captivate, adjusting the dimensions in word first so I could bypass Captivate's auto-size function.  It is coming in slightly more clear, but it is still fuzzy.
Any suggestions on how I can take a screenshot on my computer and get it into Captivate without compromising quality??
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
What is your default slide Quality? CP does set it to 8-bit to have the smallest filesize, but for most graphical images that is certainly not the best quality. Try to change the slide quality to Optimized, perhaps it will be better?
BTW you can also take the screenshot with Captivate... Just insert a recording slide, use PrintScreen to create manually a slide

  • Image size problem when printing

After printing a few 6" x 4" prints on my Epson Stylus Photo printer I found that all my images were enlarged so cropped off slightly.  I now find that if I pre set the image size in library custom mode (6000x4000) first before print then they print the correct size.  Is this normal practice or can I set the correct image size in print mode so as not to crop off?  All my original images are either raw or tiff and considerably larger than print size.  In print mode all my margins are set to 0.00 and cell size to 6.00 x 4.00.

If you are going to print an image at 6x4, then you need to first use the crop tool in Lightroom and crop your image to a 6x4 aspect ratio. If your image is any other aspect ratio, the image will wind up enlarged and some of the image will not fit on the paper, as you have seen.

  • Text/image boxes disappearing when printed to PDF [CS2, Win]

Strange things are happening today: Text boxes and image boxes, perfectly visible in InDesign -- are completely disappearing when printed to PDF.
The first time I printed, everything came out fine. Then after I moved some stuff around and reprinted, things disappeared.
Any insight would be much appreciated.

    Yes, that worked. Thanks!
    Any idea why this happened?

  • Photoshop images are grainy when I view/edit them

I have used Photoshop CS3 for a year now with my 15-megapixel DSLR camera and used to be able to edit photos in PS just fine. But about 2 months ago I upgraded to CS4 and since then, all my images are super grainy when viewing and editing them in PS. I know it has nothing to do with the way I'm saving the images as they show grainy in photoshop before I even do anything to them. And when uploading them online, they're still super grainy even though they weren't before back when I was using CS3
    Anyone have any idea why?

Well, that's the thing. The camera settings are the exact same as they were when I was running CS3 when everything was fine. The only variable that changed was installing CS4. After I did that, even though the camera settings DID NOT change, the images all of a sudden became grainy
I thought it may be a hardware issue so I upgraded the video card to one that greatly exceeds the requirements, but still no joy. I also did the Ctrl+Alt+Shift method to clear settings in case there was a rougue setting somewhere that was causing it. Still no luck

  • Page 2 and beyond pages are rotated when printed

When printing multiple page landscape documents from InDesign CS5 to our Canon Imagerunner C4080, everything after page 1 is rotated 90 degrees. So far all I can do is print one page at a time. This happens on all docs, newly created as well as converted from CS4 and CS3.
Drivers freshly installed with the OS. All other applications work fine. PDFs are fine.
OS X 10.6.4 on brand new iMac.
    Any ideas?

There are a few Bugs in Firefox that causes that to happen. I have been waiting 8 1/2 years for those Bugs to be fixed.
Probably caused by one of these three Bugs: <br />
