Pasting an image into a Gmail email?

I am new to using Safari (hoping to migrate from chrome now I have upgraded to Yosemite). I use Gmail and I want to paste an inline image into an email but it's not allowing me.. does this just not work or is there a work around ? when I copy the image and paste it nothing happens

When using Safari, you will need to save the image as a file and then in gmail when composing a message, click on insert photo, and then you can drag a saved picture in.  You have the option to make it an attachment or as an inline image.
Copy and Pasting directly into gmail is only possible using Chrome. This is a gmail limitation.  I am not recommending Chrome as personally I have had too many issues with it crashing my Macbook Pro.  I am now Chrome free.

  • Is it possible to paste two images into one layer?

I'm having some issues pasting two images into one layer. Every time I paste the second image, it automatically creates a new layer...is there anyway to prevent that from happening? I'm making an animation on photoshop and I want there to be more than image in some of the frames. Please let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks!

You can merge the two layers together once they're position. Select the top layer and choose merge down or select both and choose merge layers (from the layers menu).

How do you paste an image into a rectangular marqee forcing it to resize into the marqee?

Not sure this would address your issue, but the Crop Tool works that way: set the width and height, plus resolution, and Crop does everything. You could then paste the result into another file if that completes your process.

  • Pasting an image into a form

I had wanted to post a reply to a user who also had this problem, but was unable to. Thus, I'd just like to share what I have found to work best for me.
This is concerning pasting an image into a form, not necessarily for pasting an image into a non-form pdf. Also, I am using a Mac, not sure whether the process is the same for PC's.
Firstly, make sure you have saved any image you want to paste into your form as a jpeg.
In Adobe Acrobat Pro (v10.1.3), open the tools panel and select the edit object tool.
Navigate to the page where you wish to paste your image, and right click. Select place image... This will bring up a finder window where you can browse for your image. Select the image you wish to place, and click open. The image will open to its default size, however with the edit object tool still in use, you can scale to your hearts desire!
Once you have finished filling out your form and placing any images, you may save in any format (as pdf, image, etc.) and the document and images should appear as they did when you were editting.

(There's no such thing as Acrobat Reader, I'm guessing you mean just "Reader"...)
You can't insert an image to a text field anyway, it has to be contained inside a button field.
As I said, with Reader it's possible only if:
    - Reader XI is used
    - The image is in PDF format

  • Lately, I'm unable to paste any image into the body of any email I compose. I did not have this issue before today. Please help.

Could this issue with not being able to copy and paste any image within the email body, be virus or malware related?
Though I don't think I have any virus problems. Also I have all the latest updates for Thunderbird.
I read some suggestions posted elsewhere and tried those but none of these worked :
    DID NOT WORK #1 :
(If your Thunderbird email message is displaying strange-looking code (tags) after each link, images are missing (it looks like images have been stripped out), and the font appears different, or bold, then you’ve most likely changed the message body view inadvertently. To switch it back, simply:
Browse to View -> Message Body As -> and select Original HTML.)
    DID NOT WORK #2 :
Email message looks fine, but doesn’t contain images
If the rest of your Thunderbird email message looks okay, but is missing images, or they appear to have been stripped out, it’s very possible that you’ve changed a setting that won’t let attachments (ie. pictures) appear inline (within the message body). To change this back, simply:
Browse to View -> and select Display Attachments Inline. )
    DID NOT WORK #3 :
If you made the above changes to your Thunderbird settings and images still aren’t appearing in some of your messages, it may be that Thunderbird is blocking them because it thinks they are spam. To adjust your privacy settings and prevent the images from being stripped out, or not displaying at all (ie. being blocked), simply:
Click on the button to the above right of the email message asking you whether you would like to load images.
If the email message is from a trusted sender, you can click the link above the message specifying you would always like to load images in messages from this particular sender.
    DID NOT WORK #4 :
If you’re still having troubles, or your changes aren’t being saved (ie. next time you open Thunderbird the images won’t display again) you can directly specify the default format Thunderbird should display email messages as in the config editor. To access it, simply:
Browse to Tools -> Options -> Advanced tab -> Config Editor
Search for mail.default_html_action and make sure it is set to 3 (allow original HTML). If you would like messages to open as text only (more secure, but you won’t see images, change the setting to 1).
Could you please suggest what possibly has caused this issue? Thank you for your time.

    Thank you for your response.
After searching around for any pointers to my problem, the above fixes I listed were the things that came closest to maybe addressing the issue, that I was able to locate. But since none worked, and as you pointed out, it is now clear they will only help towards viewing sent images rather than helping with inserting any images in the body of the email, which is the problem I suddenly started facing today.
Coming to your suggestion, on opening the Write window, the Insert choice on the menu bar is indeed available. And I had already tried using that, by clicking on the '''Insert ----> Image''' option listed. That opens
up the "Image Properties" box but using that has not resolved the matter either. It results in an image box getting inserted within the email but without the actual image itself.
Plus, normally I am able to use the '''Paste''' function in the Edit menu or through right-click, but today the (Cut/Copy/Paste) functions have gone inactive, thereby disallowing me to use that to place an image within the email.

  • Copy ans paste a picture into a yahoo email

'''bold text''' How can i copy & paste < not attach> a picture into a yahoo email. I was able to do this from photobuckets with internet explorer but can't with firefox???? I don't want to attach as it loose the effect

Generally speaking, copy/paste doesn't work. You need to send the image as an attachment.

  • Downloaded jpg pictures - can't paste cut images into jpg's

I've downloaded some low resolution jpg's from the Web and intended to do some image cuts from photos I took - and to paste those cut images into the low res downloaded pictures.  Using Elements 9, I can cut and paste from photo to photo if they are pcitures I took on my camera just find - just can't seem to cut and paste into the downloaded low res images.  Cutting from a self took photo and pasting into the low res jpg does create a layer, but it shows up blank.  I even took one the jpg's I downlaoded from the Web and scanned it so it might take off any protection that may be comng down with the downloaded jpg.  Nothing seems to work.  Thoughts?

Try opening a blank canvas in Editor
File à New à Blank File
Set your dimensions and background e.g. white or back
Set resolution for print or web.
Drag your images up from the project bin on to the canvas.

With the latest version of Pages, you cannot copy & paste an image from iPhoto or the web any more.

Using the toolbar alternative "Media" takes ages.
Why did Apple remove this great feature of Pages????

Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

  • Pasting Illustrator image into email body

I would like to paste a picture I created in Adobe Illustrator CS3 (Version 13.0.2) into the body of an email. I don't want to send it as an attachment. I want it inside the email itself.
I am using AT&T Yahoo! for my internet service provider.
I have tried clicking and dragging various different save files (GIF, JPEG, HTML, etc.) into the body of the email. I have also tried opening the various Adobe files and copying and pasting into the body. Neither method seems to work.
Is there a certain kind of save file that will drop or paste into an email? Or am I using the wrong technique to do so?

To be similarly blunt, Mlenium, Bob may be more legitimately assuming his recipients
do receive HTML formatted email than you are in assuming they don't. His intended recipients may be controlled: inside a workgroup, a company, or a family, for example.
Bob may have pre-arranged with an illustration client to allow HTML email, so they can quickly communicate about details of a project underway.
It's one of the most common uses for a decent screenshot utility. (I use and recommend TechSmith SnagIt.) One press of the assigned hot key, a swipe of the cursor, and a Paste command captures just the datafield, illustration or photo detail, menu, or legacy command-line screen needed to convey. My entire workgroup uses the technique every day to quickly communicate about everything from hot issues to on-the-fly how-to instructions.
Bob, if it's only an occasional need and you don't have and don't care to buy a region-capable screenshot utility, you can open the AI file (assuming it's saved with PDF compatibility) or a PDF version of it with Reader and use its Snapshot tool (which is a screenshot tool that only works within Reader).
(It's pretty lame that after all these years, Windows still does not include a region-select screenshot command. Equally lame that Windows still can print the content of a Windows Explorer window. SnagIt also allows you to capture the content of an Explorer window as text--even as tab-delimited text that you can then paste into a spreadsheet--or an email.)

  • I can't cut and paste any images into apple mail

I have had my MacBook Pro for over three years now, without much trouble, but recently I've been unable to send images that I have cut and pasted into Apple mail. I can attach an image that I have saved in my photos and it will send but I can not send an image that I have cut and pasted from the internet.
I am using a gmail pop account and firefox as my primary browser. It took me a few times to figure this out as the image appears to be attached in my mail, but is removed when I send, such that if I have text and an image in an email the recipient receives only the text. Before I hit send I can see both the text and the image.
I have tried starting again in safe mode and repairing permissions. That has not helped. I can login to my gmail regularly and cut and paste images with no problem.
    This is exceptionally frustrating.

Hello.  In 2012 you answered a query about the following problem:
"I have had my MacBook Pro for over three years now, without much trouble, but recently I've been unable to send images that I have cut and pasted into Apple mail. I can attach an image that I have saved in my photos and it will send but I can not send an image that I have cut and pasted from the internet."
This problem started with me this morning and it does not happen when I open a test account.  The thread stops after you asked if it occurs in the test account, did you ever find a solution to this issue?  I am using mac mail 3.6 on system 10.5.8.
I hope you receive this, I have never posted in one of these forums.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dave

  • Copy and then Past an Image into an APEX Application

I need to allow my users to copy an image and then simply past it into my APEX application. Much like copy and past for text. Can this be done?

No.. You would need some sort of client side app to do that - Active X, Silverlight, maybe Java, flash is possible but unlikely - Flex might.

  • How can I paste an image into a text/title box?

    Hi,
I am putting together a 'memories' video using the 'Photo Album' theme in iMovie 11. What I want to do is insert some titles along the way (photo album type), have text above (no problem) with a still image in the box below. However, when I try to drop the image on the title box (on the timeline) it plays about 1-2 seconds of the still before it merges into the titles frame. I want it to merge/play instantly. It doesn't seem to matter whether I place the image directly on top of the title, before it or after. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    John

No-one eh? Guess I'll keep searching. Thanks for looking.

  • Colours desaturate when I copy and paste an image into another file

I'm using Illustrator CS4 with Windows Vista, 4GB RAM. I've created an image using lots of gradients and different shades of colour, and have tried copying it into a new file, but all the colours in the copied image are desaturated. For instance, a blue with an RGB value of 95 179 255, becomes 114 174 223 in the copied image. All the colours are similarly desaturated. It's very annoying! Anyone had a similar problem, or have any idea what's happening?

    Jacob,
I am using Illustrator CS (ver.11.0.0) and all of my docs are cmyk. It might help you to know that this: the cmyk values in the original document were assigned as: c100 m55 y0 k0. When I close the doc and reopen it, the values change to: c93.74 m55.69 y2.35 k0. I don't understand why. Can you help?

  • Paste content (image) into a whiteboard?

    Hi,
I'm planning a webinar for teachers on Comic Generation Tools.  I want to paste five panels from a public domain comic strip onto a whiteboard and have the participants move them into the right order.
I've done this before with Blackboard Elluminate but can't seem to find any way to do so with Connect.  Does anyone have an idea as to where I might start with this?
    Thanks!
    Pete

    Hi Jorma!
I guess I could do that, but it would dumb down the intereactivity that I'm striving for.  I hope Adobe sees a need for Connect users to be able to manipulate content within the whiteboard as I described above.  In the meantime, I found it easier to create a couple of Flash interactives.  I'll just send my participants to the page I created today.  If you're interested, it's at: http://resco.ca/comicgen/index.htm
    Thanks,
