Patch 1.1.3 - check for updates not working?

Hi all;
I can't get the check for updates to work.
Help/About shows I am running version 1.1.2.25, build main 25.79
Help/check for updates has the "Official Oracle extensions and Updates" and the "Oracle SQL Developer" boxes checked
When I search, it says no updates available. Do I need need to add another Update Center?
I'm running it on Windows XP, SP2
Thanks
Al

Try Help -> About -> Extensions and check the version
of Oracle SQL Developer. If this shows 1.1.3.27.66,
then you have already upgraded to 1.1.3.
Unfortunately, the version details on Help -> About
-> About are the details of the last full install -
they are not updated when upgrading via Check for
Updates. That is it. Thank you very much for your help

  • Check for update not working for Patch 2???

I am running 1.0.0.14.67. When I run the Check For Update command it says there are no updates available even though Patch 2 is now on the OTN site. Is there anything I can try other than downloading the whole new zip and migrating my install?
Previously I have successfully used the update centre to install new patches for the various extensions, so I don't think it's a problem with my firewall settings.
    Cheers, APC

Ok - one other thing. If you run check for updates, then the front "Help > About " will not change. So this will still show 1.0.0.14.67, but the Extensions tab will change. Can you just confirm that? Check out the screen shot in this FAQ. So the various extensions will show the 15.57 updates if patch 2 is already installed.
As far as I'm aware we do not have the patch set available as a separate bundle. I'll have to wake to for Kris to get in (west coast) before we can check that.

  • Check for updates not working in 9 pro

I am running Acrobat 9 pro on a Vista machine. Acrobat appears to have been malfunctioning (bates numbering is not working properly), and I uninstalled (and deactivated) Acrobat, and then reinstalled it.
After reinstallation, I used the check for updates feature in the help menu to update from 9.0 to 9.2. But now every time I run Check for updates from Help, nothing updates. I get a dialog that there is an available update, and then an icon System Tray appears and a process is active for AdobeARM.exe. But nothing ever happens-no update. I then force close the process from the task manager, and still no success in getting Acrobat to update.
What can I do? Thanks very much.

    LeoAdobeX:
Thank you for your rely. Here is the more detrailed info:
    1. I pulled down the Help menu and chose Check for Updates.
    2. A dialog appeared that said an update was available; I clicked on the button that indicated I wanted to download and install the update
    3. Nothing further appeared onscreengiving my information or choice, but an incon then appeared in the system tray for the installer.
    4. Hovering over the icon does not pop up any status information. If I click, double click, or right click on the incon in the system tray nothing pops up, and nothing appears. At that point I get absolutely no response.
    5. If I go to task manager at that point it shows the active process AdobeARM.exe and gives no indication of it malfunctioning. But nothing installs and nothing downloads and nothing happens.
    6. If I then pull down the Help menu and chose Check forUpdates again, I get a dialog that says the updater is already running.
    7. All of this occured immedaitely after I reinstalled 9 pro.
I hope this additional info helps. Thanks very much.

Bill, there's a few things that could cause this.

  • Error 11333? Check for updates not working, help please...

I got the message 11333 when I tried to open iTunes for the first time, so I checked for updates. But when I "check for updates" in iTunes, it tells me that "server could not be contacted, check your internet connections and try again". I am connected to the internet and I'm able to surf the web, so what's going on? I'm working with a PowerPC G5 with a dual processor. Version 10.5.8

  • Check for Updates not working

I bought the iPod Tough update and it won't work. I realized that I needed v1.1.3, but when I click on the Check for Update button, it says the iPod Software update server could not be reached.

Probably because every other person who bought a Touch is trying to do exactly the same thing. If I were a patient person, I'd wait until tomorrow and try again.
No one ever said I was a patient person.

  • Why does 'check for updates' not work?

Just curious why the updates do not work? Is it just easier to download the release2?

Check for updates is intended for use after production when we might have small changes to 1-2 files. Our current releases have many changes to many files and might almost be as large as the download. Also, we are still making structural changes to the storage of the code (shifting around preferences, etc). For the Early Adopter Releases, we really want people to download and install in a clean directory. After production, we will support check for update.

  • JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 Check for Updates Not Working

I wanna deploy Jheadstart extension in My JDeveloper(11.1.1.3.0). What happens when I try to launch Check for Updates in JDeveloper (11.1.1.3.0) I got a pop message ("Unable To Connect"). in the details it says:

I even tried to add an entry for one http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/131167.xml as a new update center but I caoludn't find the JHeadstart version
What happened to the update Server and is there another way to download JHeadstart for this JDeveloper version
we are stucked to this version as the project started and there is no clear update might happen to the version happening soon.

  • Check for Update not finding 1.2.1 patch

    Hi,
I am trying to understand why my "Check For Update" doesn't appear to be able to find the latest patch 1.2.1 update.
I completed the upgrade to 1.2 via the "Check for Updates" screen which installed and then restarted on XP Pro.
In Help->About I now see Version 1.2.0 Build Main 29.98
When trying "Check for Updates" with the following checked :
    - Official Oracle Extension and Updates
    - Oracle SQL Developer (URL pointing to p=38606:2 not raptor:updates)
It returns with "No Updates available".
Interestingly if I de-select Official Oracle Extension and Updates, then it returns with the Oracle Data Mining PL/SQL package (which didn't appear with both selected) but still no update.
I've tried restarting and still get the same result.
Is it possible to download just the zipped patch file and perform "Install from local File"? I couldn't find a link to this on the Developer download URL- just links to seemingly full versions (i.e. a large Mb file).
    Kind regards,
    Andrew

    thanks k - that worked a treat
I guess the clue was in the 1.5.1 part of the directory name - now I see it I would have chosen the 1.5.0 directory to migrate from. Duh!
It was early in the morning when I upgraded :)

  • Check for updates not highlighted

I have updates needed for apps on my iphone. When I connect and open itunes, go to the apps in library, the "check for updates" down on the bottom right is not highlight and therfore I can not access. How do I correct this?

You don't need to connect the iPhone to check for updates to apps in iTunes.
And you don't need to connect the iPhone to update the apps directly on the iPhone. Open App store then tap Updates at bottom right.

  • Why does "check for updates" not download new version of itunes?

On windows XP FP 3, if I start Itunes of late I get a messsage that there is a new (10.5.3) version of itunes to download. I agree to download iTunes, and itunes freezes up for a bit, then nothin. Suggestions? I am getting tired of uninstalling and reinstalling every time this happens.

  • Windows updates not working because it extract patches on Mac partition first., Windows updates not working because it extract patches on Mac partition first.

I have installed BootCamp 5.1 and Windows updates not working because it extract files on Mac partition before installation. Is there any workaround for same ?

To replicate this issue - Try to download .net framework 4.5 from microsoft website and than run that setup on windows partition.
Before installation. it will first extract all the binaries to a other drivers, since in my case other primary drive is E which is a Mac partition so it always give me an error while extractiing and therefore setup is not able to execute propely.
Let me try to get the screen shot of error and send it here.

  • Check addon update not working

Using v.22, when I click "check if plugins up to date" in the add-ons manager I get sent to a Mozilla info page and not the usual page that listed my plugins and their status. Why is "check plugins" not working and/or how can I otherwise check and update plugins as needed? Thanks.

    Hi amitshree,
I appreciate the prompt reply. I'm using the Add-ons Manager in FF and when I click the link at the top of the page I am sent to a page I hadn't seen before. The url is https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/. The same location I arrived at using the link in your reply. It is just an info page and does not list any of my plugins. In the past, following the "check" link in the Add-ons Manager gave me a page full of my plugins and I was able to update when indicated. Don't know if it matters but lately the update page had been showing that the some plugins were up to date and maybe half had a tab which said "Research." I haven't seen a plugin needing updating for several months. Still I would think that was the right place to determine if my plugins were up to date. If you or anyone else has any further ideas I'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks.

  • Check For Purchases not working

I've been trying to use the "Check For Purchases" thing since last night and every hit enter, I get an error message saying, "The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." I tried restarting my computer, iTunes, and my isp but nothing helps. Am I the only one experiencing this problem? If not, does anyone know what the **** is wrong? Cuz it's starting to **** me off.

I purchased an album on the 30th and keep getting the same message. I upgraded to 7.2 this morning hoping it would help - it's not looking good. I successfully purchased & downloaded music last week. Seems like Apple needs to get their act together.

    Hi ,
First of all ,I would you suggest to check the status of the "Windows update "services " and "Background Intelligent Transfer service".Run "Services.msc" to open the services manager.
Someone has tried the following methods to resolve the similar issue, please have a try :
1.go into Windows Update and change the settings to "Never check for updates (not recommended)", click OK, and then change it back to "Install updates automatically".
2.Turn on the Windows Defender and update it .
