Patch  3006854 - how to get it?

I am unable to install Oracle10g Application Server on Redhat ES 3. How can I get this patch?
I am unable to log into http://metalink.oracle.com
Chris

Yes, you can. Choose a plateform where the 10.2.0.4 patchset version is the based released (MacOSX, Vista or Windows 2008), install it, create a new db, then export your source 10.2.0.1 db, and import into this new one.
Nicolas.
PS: of course, if you want only the patchset to upgrade your db in place, then the answer is shorter : no.

  • Applied SOA patches (server), how to get patches/updates into JDeveloper?

    Hi
    We have recently applied the 10.1.3.3.1 MLR5 patch to our SOA Suite installs. In this there is a bug 5883401 listed as being resolved by the patchset.
    We have logged an SR to find out the details of the bug (as it is once again not visible to us mere customers paying good money for support).
    From this it became clear that the fix for this bug is really a JDeveloper (XSL Mapper) fix.
    Oracle Support has so far been unable to help us with the information on how to get this fix (or any other fix) applied to JDeveloper. (we are using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 build 4157)
    Can anybody in this forum please shed any light onto this matter?
    How do we get this fix or any other fixes applied to JDeveloper?
    Your help and inputs are much appreciated.

    Hi,
    i searched for bug 5883401. Can you provide which patch number is associated with this bug?
    Is there a jar file provided?

    how to download patch 3006854 for free?

    First you need a valid support contract, then you can access/download the patch for Bug 3006854.
    If you (your company) dont have paid Support you may want to try to google for 'jakub jelinek less buggy jvm' and get the solution from Red Hat to create a 'dummy' lib for problem apps.

  • Where to get a patch and how to apply it

    Hi there,
    I have to ask a really beginners question, so please don't crucify for doing so.
    I have Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.6.0 - Production
    I’m doing some studying about PL/SQL Hierarchical Profiler. Studying PL/SQL Hierarchical Profiler I needed to run plshprof.exe, which is supposed to be in $ORACLE_HOME/bin/, but it isn’t.
    I found this thread
    Database Upgrade
    it explains that there is a bug in the version and that it can be fixed by patching to 11.1.0.7.
    I don’t know how to apply a patch (or where to get it) to do this. I tried browsing oracl.com, but didn’t find anything.
    I hope it’s not like an upgrade and that I don’t have to download 1.7GB of data.
    Please advice...
    Thank you

    You can only get patches from My Oracle Support website (https://support.oracle.com). You will need a valid Customer Support Identifier (CSI) to access this site - a CSI is given when you purchase a support contract from Oracle Support.
    If you do not have a CSI, one option would be to download and install 11gR2, assuming you have qualified hardware/software.

  • How to get list of applied patches which applied using admrgpch

    How to get list of applied patches which applied using admrgpch

    You can't really get the individual patch IDs from a merged patch, unless you have the log file from the admrgpch run available.
    You can, however, get the list of bugs fixed by a merged patch, and those bug numbers sometimes, but not always, correspond to a patch ID. Keep in mind, though, that individual patches often contain entries for multiple bug numbers.
    Here's a query that I use to look at the contents of merged patches. It works best if the merged patches have been given unique names, instead of the default name 'merged' from admrgpch. If you run it and see that everything belongs to patch name 'merged,' you might want to change the selected column to ap.applied_patch_id instead of ap.patch_name.
    select ap.patch_name
    , ad.orig_patch_name
    , ad.driver_file_name
    , ad.merged_driver_flag
    , ad.merge_date
    , bug.bug_number
    , cp.patch_abstract
    from ad_applied_patches ap
    join ad_patch_drivers ad using (applied_patch_id)
    join ad_comprising_patches cp using (patch_driver_id)
    join ad_bugs bug using (bug_id)
    order by applied_patch_id;

  • How to get Hibernate 3.2.5 running on OracleAS 10.1.3.1 / OC4J 10.1.3.2

    Hi all,
    I have installed the OracleAS 10.1.3.0 patched to OracleAS 10.1.3.1/OC4J 10.1.3.2.
    I am trying to get Hibernate 3.2.5 with Hibernate EntityManager 3.3.1 running on the server, but I am not able to succeed.
    I want to provide Hibernate as a shared lib, because I´ll have several applications using it. Actualyl I´ll have many EJB-JAR deployed, that will use Hibernate as the underlying implementation of EJB3.0/JPA specification.
    I tried to copy the Hibernate JARs to home/applib directory and also register Hibernate as a shared lib through EM, but both failed when I deployed my application.
    I am trying to deploy my EJB-JAR in two different manners:
    1) Via EM, deploying the EJB-JAR file and checking Hibernate lib as dependency
    2) Copying the EJB-JAR file into home/applications directory and add ejb-module tag to application.xml
    Both fail.
    How can get Hibernate for JPA running on OracleAS 10.1.3.1 / OC4J 10.1.3.2, in order to make it available for many differente application modules (ejb-jars) ?
    Note: I prefer deploying EJB-JAR directly into home/applications in order the have the classes shared over for all application, so they can communicate to each other. Instead of deploying my ejb-jar within EARs and making each module isolated from each other.
    Thanks

  • How to get Current Log in BO user name in data access driver

    In universe, to get the current log in user is via @Variable('BOUSER').
    Right now, I need to be able to get the user name in the data access driver. I am writing a customized data access driver because we need to patch some where clause on the the query generated by the universe based on the logged-in user info. I only think of using end_sql parameter or adding an universe level filter to patch the @Variable('BOUSER') to the query, which would not work if user want to use customized query.
    Can anyone tell me how to get currentBO user name from connection server ? or how @Variable('BOUSER') is translated into the logged-in user name in the universe?

    Shweta,
    The link you provided was the Auditor guide for BO 6.x, I'm not sure it that is going to help Karen or not.
    Karen,
    There is function called connection
    (usage:  =connection([Query Name]), where [Query Name]
    denotes the name of the tab for the query under Edit Query)
    Here is some of the output from connection:
    4;ODBC18;MS SQL Server 2000166; VERSION=7; USER=xxxxx;
    PASSWORD=; DBTYPE=Relational; DATABASE=xxx_xxxx;
    ODBC_USER=xxxxxx; ODBC_PASSWORD=; BO_DSN=xxxx_xxxx;
    BO_DRV_CONNECT_MODE=0; 224; VERSION=6; Name=xxxxx; Shared=4;
    LoginTimeout=600; Timeout=600; Pool Time=60; Array Fetch Size=10;
    Array Bind Size=5; RecommendedLenTransfert=1000; Password_Encryption=x;
    AliasTable=; MeasureDimension=; Hint=; ConnectInit=; ArrayFetch=1;
    I'm not sure if this info helps out either, being that connection provides info on a post-processing basis and it sounds like you need to get out ahead of the SQL generation.  The @variable('bouser') would seem like the place to be, however, in allowing custom SQL to take place you loose the bouser due to an individual could customize the SQL to the point that it gets unwantingly yanked out.  The end_sql might be your answer...
    Thanks,
    John

    I do not know your EJB Service. But you should pass the credentials of the current logged on portal user to your service. That's not by default I think.
    I had a similar problem with CAF developed webservices. I had to turn on permission checks in my web service and passed the credentials via logon ticket.

  • How to get and install the new MSI Bluetooth Software Package 1.4.3.3.

    How to get and install the new MSI Bluetooth Software Package 1.4.3.3.
    This little FAQ will only cover the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software Package.
    First thing too do is unistall any older version of the MSI Bluetooth Software.
    Do this through the Add/Remove program applet in your control panel.
    There seams too be only through Live update you could get the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software Package.
    If you can't see any enter for MSI Bluetooth Software in the Live driver section of Live update then you have too enter the following too your registry.
    Create following code in Notepad and save it as MSILD.reg, then run the file.
    ;-->Code start
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MSI\Drivers\MSI Bluetooth Software]
    "DrvSetup"="1"
    "Version"="1.4.2.10"
    ;-->Code end
    Rerun the Live update and hopefully you will now see a entry for MSI Bluetooth Software in Live driver section.
    Install the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software and reboot your computer. Even if the setup program doesnt told you too doit.
    After rebooting the computer you will see the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar. If it's Red then try too start the Bluetooth services by right click on the try icon and the only alternetiv there is.
    If the Bluetooth services is asking for a valid licens.dat then you should do the following.
    Surf to Jon's Bluetooth guide http://www.jonsguides.com./bluetooth/prepare.html and download the patcher from the link there.
    Unzip the the patcher and then run the BTWPatcher.exe program.
    Now the Bluetooth services will start and you will bee able too configure your own settings for the Bluetooth services.
    If nothing of this work you could try the complete Bluetooth solution at Jon's gudie and install the IBM version of the same program. I havent test this solution and will not do soo.

    I have the MS-6968 device and i want to use driver 1.4.x or 3.0.x. I found the driver 1.4.2.10 but i cannot find any WIDCOMMSecurity code.
    So, can anyone give me a link for BTWPatcher.exe???
    It cannot be found here (Jon's Bluetooth ) anymore.
    Thanks

  • BI Beans 9.0.4 - How to get it Working

    Hello ... Hoping this is not an old boring issue, i hereby give some advice on how to get the Oracle 9iR2 database with OLAP option and BI Beans to work.
    I had dificulties with this subject for two weeks now, I asked for help on all forums and I thank everyone for their patience.
    Here goes:
    1. Install Oracle 9iR2 (9.2.0.1) Enterprise edition.
    2. Download and apply the 9.2.0.6 patch, available on metalink.
    3. Follow carefully the pre and post install instructions for the patch, in the readme file.
    3. Install Oracle 10g(9.0.4) JDeveloper just by unpacking the contents of the zip (available on OTN) in a folder (D:\OraDS let's say).
    4. Install the Oracle 9.0.4 BI Beans, using the Universal installer and specifying a new Oracle Home exactely in the folder where Jdeveloper was installed (d:\OraDS).
    5. Install the BIBDEMO schema by running
    bibdemo.bat %ORACLE_HOME%\oradata\Database_name
    6. Run the test to check if everything's allright
    d:\OraDS\bibeans\bi_checkconfig\bi_checkconfig.bat -h hostname -po port -sid sid -u user -p password -qusing BIBDEMO/BIBDEMO as user/pass. If metadata retrieval is successful, then you have a running BIBDEMO schema.
    OK ... now, assuming you have some business intelligence problem of your own, you might want to create your own schema. This is where I ran into another load of problems.
    My advice is to sudy the contents of the sql files in the bibdemo schema and do exactely the same stuff for your own.
    You will find it easy to create dimensions and cubes using the wizard.
    BUT, if you do anything wrong, not only your metadata won't work, but it will also ruin BIBDEMO.
    After creating your own objects, you have to run
    exec cwm2_olap_metadata_refresh.mr_refresh;
    commit;
    If you run bi_checkconfig you will see the metadata unable to be retrieved. In JDev it will result in strange errors like <<Although it successfully connected to the database, the metadata couldn't be retrieved>> ... or something, or simply in not being able to see your measure folders when you try to make a presentation or graph.
    Also, cube viewer will again show the "infamous bell error", although it works for the BIBDEMO ANALYTIC CUBE after completing the 6 steps I described.
    The fact is that all the errors are not product related, but simply the result of creating incorrect OLAP objects and refreshing the metadata using an user that has OLAP_DBA role, thus spoiling all metadata, including BIBDEMO's.
    I spent some time studying their schema, and I found something very interesting, which I thing is a mistake. All my tables (and also the fact table) had primary/foreign keys of the NUMBER type. I transformed all the primary keys in my tables in VARCHAR2, ran the metadata refresh procedure again, and everything worked. Don't forget to create a measure folder and add your own measure there, and after that ... way you go. You will see them in JDev, and you will be able to do all kinds of graphs or crosstabs with amazing ease. Pretty slow though, I reccomend at least 512MB of RAM, an strong processors.
    Please advice me if I was wrong with turning the keys from NUMBER to VARCHAR, perhaps there was another way around, but I don't know. Also, if there are any instructions, post them here.
    Thanks.

    I remember this being an issue with 92041 but was supposed to be fixed in 9205 and I think we tested it worked okay. So, it could be that 9206 has reintroduced the problem? I would recommend logging a bug with Oracle Support because you should be able to create dimension keys based on numberic keys.
    Hope this helps

  • How to get .msi from Reader .exe v11.0.01 for domain update

    Wondering how to get the .msi file that I need to patch the domain workstations using Windows Group Policy.  The only file Adobe provides is an .exe file for the latest update. v11.0.01

    As an alternative to what Baigley has suggested, you can use the 11.0.00 MSI as released by Adobe and patch it using the latest 11.0.01 patch to create a GPO package to be deployed across your network as below.
    1. Download the 11.0.00 MSI from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.00/en_US/AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi
    2. Download the 11.0.01 MSP from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.01/misc/AdbeRdrUpd11001.msp
    3. Create an AIP using the MSI downloaded in step 1 above by the following command:
        msiexec /a <path to MSI downloaded>
        In the subsequent dialogs provide a location wherein to create the AIP (for instance C:\AIP)
    4. Once the AIP is created, patch it with the latest 11.0.01 installer by the below command.
        msiexec /a C:\AIP\AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi /p <path to MSP downloaded in Step 2>
    This will create the GPO Package for 11.0.01 Reader, ready to be deployed in your network.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • How to get the "CMYK" Color percentages?

    Could you please advise me how to get the "CMYK" Color percentages of every pixel via scripting.

    You have to be patched to the 10.0.2 version of FM and you must use the CMYK option with SaveAsPDF. If thee colour is defined as Spot in the FM file, it should remain as a spot colour in th PDF. However, that being said, the CMYK route is still a bit wonky (even in FM12) and you may get odd results in your PDF.
    Alternatives are to make the fix in Acrobat with the Print Production tools (or even better to use a third-party tool like Enfocus Pro) or to use GrafikHuset's (now freebie) PubliPDF to convert FM's RGB postscript output to CMYK+Spot PDFs.
