Patch 8.1.6.2 for HPUX-11 32-bit

Does anybody know where I can download the patch 8.1.6.2 for HPUX-11 32-bit.

10.2.0.4 and 11.1.0.7 are patchsets, available on MOS/metalink only (you need a valid support contract). There's only the exception for Windows 2008,here you can get this versions on OTN.
But who did you tell characterset AL32UTF8 is not available in the basis versions?

Hi guys,
would anyone know if there is a patch 9.2.0.5 available for oracle database 9.2.0.1 on Solaris 8 64 bit.? I know there is 9.2.0.6 but wanted to check for 9.2.0.5. If so could you let me know where I can download it from as I don't seem to find it on the archives in Oracle.com.

On headstart patch 6.5.3.0 (patch version ONLY for Oracle 9i Forms), there is a bug introduced in library qmslib65.pll
How to reproduce

- Start the headstart demo
- From the menu open form Forms --> Project Business Rules
- Press F8 (execute query)
- Now you see project 1, without detail records(no employees)
- Click on the item 'Employee' (first empty record)
- Click on the item 'Name' of the Project in the master
- Now message 'FRM-40202 Field must be entered' appears

I think I've found a bug in this release: If you have an LOV defined on a report parameter (with value and description), the when-validate-item trigger of the field will validate the description against the LOV. It adds the following code to the validation query: ||l_where_and || l_description_column || ' = ' || '''' || name_in (qms0012f.get_param_description_item(p_block_name))||''''
Th descriptor column in this case is the alias (= "description"). However, you cannot use column aliases in a where-clause. This will never work!!
Is there a fix for this problem?

Fail to gunzip the OracleAS 904 for HPUX version

Hi,
I have downloaded OracleAS 904 for HPUX version, gunzip is okay for Disk1 and Disk4, I got mesg like "unexpected end of file" for Disk3.gz and Disk4.gz.
How to get the gunzip working for these two files? Are there anything wrong with them?

Please check the sum before using gunzip.
If sum values are not matching with the ones
shown on OTN download page for that file, it
means the download did not complete and file
is most likely corrupted.
If sums are fine, gunzip should not be a
problem.

Patch Set Release 2 (9.2.0.8) Patch Set 7 for Microsoft Windows (32-Bit)

Hi,
I've 2 nodes with version 9.2.0.1
I applied a Patch Set Release 2 (9.2.0.8) Patch Set 7 for Microsoft Windows (32-Bit) on the Node 2,
All is fine but when i try to discover N2 from N1 with OMS, i get only the HTTP Servers, and no database discovred,
For your information, I've 2 databases on N2
Please help me to resolve this probleme because i need to schedule some jobs.

Check where you installed the 9.2.0.8 patch, in the database home or Enterprise Manager Agent's home?
Check the compatibility between the versions of agent, database and OEM.
Try to reinstall the (correct version) agent again in Node 1.
If you have 2 database on Node 2, if they both uses the same Oracle database version and same home, you need to install the patch only once, but got to run the upgrade and catpatch.sql seperately in each databases.

10.2.0.4patchset for hpux

Is there a patchset available for 10.2.0.4 Oracle DB for HPUx PA64?
In April2008 CPU instructions it said 10.2.0.4 database is released and will include this CPU.
Just wondering if i need to apply cpu and the upgrade the DB or just upgrade which will cover me up for the CPU.

10.2.0.4 for HP-UX (in fact for no HP platform) isn't yet available. When it is released, it will contain APRIL 2008 CPU. If you don't want to wait, install this CPU now.

I can see there are:
- patch 5251025 for Oracle 10.2.0.2
- and patch 5239698 for Oracle 10.2.0.1.
But to me the last release of Oracle Database 10g is 10.2.0.1.0 (available from site) so what is the 10.2.0.2 patch for ?

Both patches are Critical Patch Updates, the first one for DB Version 10.1.0.2 (already patched with the first patchset) and the second one for DB Version 10.1.0.1 (base release).

CICS connector for HPUX-11

Hi all,
          I am looking for a CICS connector that should run on weblogic 6.0 sp1
          running on HPUX-11. I had a look a the connector at
          http://www.comporsys.com but this connector seems to be dependent on a
          CICS Transaction Gateway form IBM. This would be fine but there doesn t
          seem to a Gateway for HPUX.
          Has anybody used a connector for CICS?
          I would be greatful for any information that anyone can give.

Yes, I have been in contact with BEA about this matter and just as you
          said it will be compatible in a futur release. Unfortunately this will
          be sometime next year.
          I'm currently looking into what IBM has to offer in this area.

BSOD 0x00000124 for Windows 7 64 bit

Can anybody help me with this issue? I am unsure how to output the log to a dump file for further analysis.
My computer info is:
   Processor: 2.30 GHz AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-Core
   MB: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-MA780G-UD3H
   Video Cards: ATI Radeon HD 3200 onboard video, Radeon HD 4670
   OS: Windows 7 64 bit
I've been checked the hotfixes offered by Microsoft but there aren't any available for Windows 7 64 bit. I do not know if the hotfixes for Windows Vista 64 bit can be used to fix this problem or not.
I've tried updating my BIOS and then restoring my BIOS to its factory settings but neither seemed to work. I've installed drivers via windows update, from the gigabyte website, and from the ATI website trying to update to the latest drivers. I've used Ultimate
Boot CD to test my RAM and HDD, I've used Hot CPU Tester Pro 4 to test my CPU, I've tried using my PCI-E video card and my onboard video card (separately of course), but all these tests have not shown any errors or problems with the hardware devices. The only
ones that I haven't really tested are my PSU and MB (the sound card is onboard). I've even performed a clean installation of windows 7 64 bit (previously using Windows Vista 32 bit) but the problem still persists. I am not sure what else to test without just
buying new hardware.
This error normally happens when I play a video game (like World of Warcraft) but lately when I try to install patches or games in general I seem to get the BSOD.
Can anyone help me please? Just let me know if you would need more information about my system or how I can get to my logs (the dump files) so I can provide more information.

You may boot in Clean Boot Mode as BSOD can be caused by programs that are running in kernel mode.
Perform a clean startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your game or program
If the issue persists in Clean Boot Mode you can try to check the driver signature. To do so, in Start Search box enter sigverif.exe. Then click the start button in “File Signature Verification”. In the result list, please pick up *.sys files,
rename one of them and then shut down or restart to check if the issue still occurs. If the issue persists, rename another *.sys file listed in the result of driver signature verifying, and check result again. By doing so we can determine which un-singed driver
is the root cause.
Another way is enable muni-dump and use Windbg. Please refer:

On the OTN site there's a download page with 10.2.0.4 for Windows Vista x64 and Server 2008 x64, but for "plain" Windows x64, I see only the base 10.2.0.1 release.
So you would need a Patch Set for 10.2.0.1 -> 10.2.0.4.
For retrieving/being allowed to use Patch Set releases, you need Support (or SULS as the service is called in contractual terms) and a support web account.
