  • Oracle patch details

    Hi ,
Is there is any way to get the patch details by using any sql query.
I am getting the patch details by using -
    $ opatch lsinventory -details
Is there is any other options?

  • J2ee system info displays incorrect patch details

    Hello all,
I did an un-deployment of a few custom applications in visual admin in the deploy node.
Later I did and re deployment using the visual admin.
Now when I check in Visual admin it show me the newly deployed applications detail.
But when I check them in system info it is showing me the old patch details.
The deployment files were of .ear files.
Unfortunately, Due to some issues I was not able to deploy using the SDM.
The J2EE system info is not showing the updated patch details.
Kindly help me to figure out what could be the issue.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Chandru

    Hello Benny,
I have a query here... If deployment should happen only through SDM then why does an deploy option made available in visual admin.
I am just curious to know why this option....??
Thanks for your reply... I have also planned to do the deployment again using SDM.
    Thanks.

  • How to chk the patch details for BEx Analyser

    Hello Friends,
Could you please tell me how to chk the patch details for BEx Analyser
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hello again,
Search for a file in your computer named "BExAnalyzer.xla".
Right-click on it and choose "Properties".
Go to the third tab named "Custom".
You'll see below on that tab a place called "properties" with the version.
    There you go.

  • 7.0.2 patch details please?

What exactly does this patch fix, and what exactly does it break?
I've been waiting a year for the skipping-through-songs-purchased-from-iTunes fiasco to be fixed, has it been?

some details have been getting a bit clearer over the past week or so. some of this is based on documentation that has shown up, some on personal observations of error report patterns here at the forums.
on the ipod-connection side of things, it's of some assistance with the 1417s and 1418s, and apparently some of the 1413s:
Error 1418 when restoring any iPod in iTunes 7 or later
Error 1413 when Updating or Restoring any iPod in iTunes 7 or later
... and i haven't seen many of the disabled-Terminal-Services-associated connection problems discussed here:
iTunes for Windows: iTunes 7 doesn't recognize iPod
installation and launch failures: i've seen fewer reports of installation and launch failures. on the other hand, there have been connection problems here at Discussion over the weekend (when there's usually a spike in installation and post-installation error reports), so i'm not sure whether that's all due to 7.0.2.16.
importing and burning: the issue where folks could get a "Disk burner or software not found" message if they tried burning from a non-administrator XP account (but could burn fine from an administrator account) appears to have been resolved.

I apologize for my ignorance in this regard but are you referring to upgrade of Oracle database server software?
To my knowledge, there was never a 9.1.x version of Oracle database server software. There was a 9.0.x and then 9.2.x.
So are you referring to Oracle database software or some other component in list of Oracle softwares?

  • Patch 20133080:R12.PO.D compatible with 12.1.3

Hi, we are encountering the Bug 20133080, that cancels the PR line if the PO line is cancelled.
Our EBS is 12.1.3, but this patch 20133080:R12.PO.D stated that it was for 12.2.3.
however upon checking the patch details README File (https://updates.oracle.com/Orion/Services/download?type=readme&aru=18420063):
For 12.0.X / 12.1.X / pre-upgrade patches (using adpatch), you must shut down all Application tier services before performing the tasks in this section.
so does this mean that it's also compatible with 12.1.3? it's kind of confusing.
if it isn't compatible, is there an existing patch for 12.1.3?
if there isn't a patch for 12.1.3, where can i request a patch?
i logged an SR at MOSC asking the same questions but they didn't really give me an outright answer.
    thank you!

    Hi to all!
Oracle was able to create a patch for 12.1.3. (patch number 20133080:R12.PO.B).
    hope this helps!

  • Applying a patch to OBIEE 11g

    Hello Everyone,
I am new to OBI and specially new to 11g, Now most of you guys will know that there was a bug in 11g in which if you want to see the query generated by the report in session log, It shows "no log found". Now there was a patch available which i have downloaded and i am not so sure as to how to apply that patch to OBI, I tried all the steps given in the read me doc provided with the doc. but all in Vain, as it is very confusing and more importantly it doesnt work,
Can any one help me out here by telling me the actual steps involved.
    Thanks,

    Try the following -
    1. cd to oracle home folder\opatch
set oracle_home=your home directory (iethe parent of opatch\ folder)
    opatch lsinventory -patch -detail
The last command should run and say "opatch successful".
    Now run the command:
    2. opatch apply -verbose "your patch folder's complete path"
(verbose tells u the sequence, success or errors if any)
    OK - now,
    3. The patch on my PC failed saying that I needed to install the latest opatch. I downloaded the latest opatch (11.2 even though the patch (ie the "no log found" patch) requires 11.1.0.8.2 or something) and just extracted it to the oracle home folder - yes, it will overwrite the current opatch folder, so back it up before you copy the latest opatch folder.
    4. After this, I ran the command again from step 2 again. It seemed to be running, ie somewhat successful, but it asked for my oracle support login, some proxy server crap so it could connect to the internet, also gives options to specify "NONE" if you didn't need all this - but never came back...at that point, I quit. I tried again and it got stuck at the same point - so, I wasn't sure if it succeeded or not.
    5. I assumed the patch ran OK and tried to view the log - but this time it gave a different error "it is not a Win32 application" or something like that. I am sure that I downloaded the win32 patch only. Yet, I am going to check and try it out again tomorrow.
Let me know if it worked for you and the details.
    Hope all this helps :-)

  • FTPing .zip CPU patch files...

    Hi
I have downloaded a .zip file for Oracle CPU Patch and wants to move it to UINX server. After connecting the UNIX server, beofre I say "put <filename>"...do I have to say "binary"?
Your answer will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    Ahmed.

    Hello,
Besides the previous answer, generally (if you click on the patch detail) you have the size of the zip file in bytes.
    For instance:
Size 1.1G (1123325074 bytes) So, once you have sent the zip file on the Unix server, you can check if it's size is correct.
    Hope this help.
    Best regards,
    Jean-Valentin

  • How to determine the Plunin Bundle Patch version applied

Working to apply the EM DB Plugin Bundle Patch 12.1.0.5.8 (Agent Monitoring).  The current Plug-in Version is 12.1.0.5.0.  How can I check or determine that the 12.1.0.5.8 Plugin Bundle Patch has been applied to a given Agent?  Bundle Patches are being released maybe every 30-days.  Would like to be able to view the Plugin Bundle patch level for a given Agent to the 5th number, "8" in this case 12.1.0.5."8" .

From EM, go to the Agent target, on the bottom left hand side, you'll see a Configuration section, click on the Oracle Home and Patch Details link...
This will bring up the Oracle Home for the agent, and in the middle-right section there is a TAB for Patches Applied. This will list the Patch # and the Description, which has the 5th digit...
If you're on the agent, each plugin has it's own ORACLE_HOME.  You can find them by looking at the inventory, or run opatch from the agent...
if agent is installed in /oracle/agent, you will have a plugins directory:
    drwxr-xr-x  8 cllamas dba 4096 Feb  4 15:03 oracle.mysql.omys.discovery.plugin_12.1.0.1.0
    drwxr-xr-x  6 cllamas dba 4096 Feb  4 15:03 oracle.sysman.db.discovery.plugin_12.1.0.7.0
    drwxr-xr-x  8 cllamas dba 4096 Feb  4 15:03 oracle.sysman.emas.discovery.plugin_12.1.0.7.0
    drwxr-xr-x 11 cllamas dba 4096 Feb  4 15:09 oracle.sysman.oh.agent.plugin_12.1.0.4.0
    drwxr-xr-x  6 cllamas dba 4096 Feb  4 15:03 oracle.sysman.oh.discovery.plugin_12.1.0.4.0
    drwxr-xr-x  7 cllamas dba 4096 Feb  4 15:03 oracle.sysman.vi.discovery.plugin_12.1.0.1.0
    drwxr-xr-x  6 cllamas dba 4096 Feb  4 15:03 oracle.sysman.xa.discovery.plugin_12.1.0.6.0
You can run opatch lsinventory -oh /oracle/agent/plugins/oracle.sysman.oh.agent.plugin_12.1.0.4.0
to get the version and patches applied.   I've already upgraded to DB Plugin 12.1.0.7 so i don't have an example to show at command line, but it will also list out the patch # and description which will have the 5th digit.
