    I get this error too. It is caused because of a check constraint violation on a materialized view that is fast refreshed on commit. First we see a FRM-40400 (1 record applied and saved) and immediately after that the FRM-99999 Error 408.

  • Error while appying patch set 4 (10.1.3.4.0) to oracle home (10.1.3.1.0 )

    Hi,
    I am trying to apply patch set 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Patch Set 4 (10.1.3.4.0) to 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.1.0) oracle home. As the pre - installation steps describes I have run the script ‘upgrade_10131_10134_oracle.sql’ for both ESB and BPEL. Also we need to delete the line <data id="java-bin" value="/myhost/jdk1.4.2/bin/java" />from the ‘ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/opmn.xml’ file. But when I have checked that file, the line was not present there.
    But when I am running the installer, it is showing error like
    Error
    --> Process (index=1,uid=418288051,pid=30220)
    failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit
    Log:
    C:\Oracle\Soa_OFMPractice\SOATESTING\opmn\logs\\HTTP_Server~1.log

    When I checked the log I got the error message like

    Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anju

    There is a quick fix for this
    There are 2 lines you need to comment form the c:/oracle/soa_ofmpractice/soatesting/apache/apache/conf/httpd.conf
    A comment is done with a #
    If you look in the C:\Oracle\Soa_OFMPractice\SOATESTING\opmn\logs\HTTP_Server~1.log file it will tell you.
    Find the line that has apachemoduleossl in it. When you try and restart it will fail again the C:\Oracle\Soa_OFMPractice\SOATESTING\opmn\logs\HTTP_Server~1.log should tell you what line to comment
    sorry can't be of much more help but dont have access to an environement at the moment.

  • About patche set in oracle

    i want to know the oracle release number format installed in my system i get 10.2.0.1.0 using the product_component_version
    here, the last digit indicates the patch set.
    i didnt understand what is meant by patch set?even not able to differentiate all the sections?
    so just i want to know what each digit specifies and what is meant by the patch set?
    what is the relationship with the platform to this patch set?

    Patch Set is the The fourth digit, component specific release number of 11.2.0.3. Oracle Support adds new features to the Patch Set.
    Patch Set Update is the fifth number 11.2.0.2.3; Every 3 months or so, Oracle Support release a Patch Set Update (PSU) to fix Patch Set bugs and does not add any new features to the PSU.
    Now, you may ask what about the other 3 digits; the first, the second and the third?
    The first digit is the major version, in our case 11g. The second digit is the release number, in our case it is release 2 also called (11g release 2 or shortly 11gR2) with major upgrades and major new features. The third digit is Oracle application specific number, always equal to 0 for database software.

  • Current Patch Set for Oracle Database Release 11.2

    Hi
    I am upgrading oracle 10G to 11GR2 in AIX 5.3 Environment with SAP ECC6 , I have just just installled Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 according to the "Database Upgrade Guide -Upgrade to Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2): UNIX". After database software installation , in upgrade manual in section 3.4.4 it says, you need to install current patch set for oracle database 11g R2 and referencing a SAP note 1431799.
    I have just read note 1431799 which says Current Patch Set for Oracle Database Release 11.2 is not generally available for SAP customers until December 2010, also I donu2019t find the note 1522330 as mentioned in 1431799.
    Please let me know how I can get current patch set to apply with Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 (Is it in SAP service market place?)
    I also want to upgrade my installation to oracle 11.2.0.2, please let me know where I get the patch set to upgrade from 11.2.0.1.0 to 11.2.0.2,
    or
    I have to live with 11.2.0.1.0 and apply SAP Bundle Patch ( SBP)

    Abu Al MAmun,
    I understand from your posts that you recently upgraded to 11.2.0.2.
    I am having the same difficulty, of finding the current patch set for 11.2. Could you please let me know how you worked around it?
    Thanks,
    Siri
    Hello Everyone,
    I did read the post on to how you have to install the current patch set for 11.2.
    But honestly, it pretty much flew over my head.
    I am trying to upgrade our SAP AIX 64 bit test system from Oracle 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2.
    And so far I have downloaded all the required sw for the upgrade, except for the current patch set 11.2.
    This is what I have right now:
    1) Oracle 11.2 AIX 64 bit upgrade sw - 51038805_part 1 to 51038805_part 7 and 51039800.
    2) Database Patches -->Oracle 11.2.0.2 -->
    All they have here is
    a. Database RDMBS - SAP_112020_201012_AIX.zip and b. SAP_112020_201101_AIX.zip
    b. OPatch - OPatch_11201_Generic_v3.zip and mopatch-2_1_6.zip
    c. Database Vault - DV - >Generic - p9656644_112020_Generic.zip
    If I am not wrong, the Database RDBMS files are nothing but the SAP Bundle Patches that have to be installed after installing the currrent patch set 11.2.0.2 using MOPatch.
    But I did not find the currrent patch set 11.2.0.2.
    Could someone please explain the process to me in detail? This being my first time , I am finding it a bit hard to catch up with some of the stuff.
    Thank You!
    Siri

    To download and extract the patch set installation software:

    2. Enter the following commands to unzip and extract the installation files:

  • Apex3.1.1.zip vs patch set notes

    Hi
    Does anyone has any experience yet with the 3.1.1 upgrade?
    Seems to me the patch set notes weren't written for the download. The notes discuss a p7032837_11106_generic.zip while the download is apex3.1.1.zip
    Filename change is ok, but then I read the instruction where it says to run apxpatch.sql, which is not in the apex3.1.1.zip file?
    Also the notes say it's a patch set while the size of the apex3.1.1.zip look to me if it were a full release.
    So now I'm puzzled how to proceed
    1) Just install apex3.1.1. using the 3.1 install instructions?
    2) try and find the p7032837_11106_generic.zip file?
    Anyone any experience?

    Hi,
    you are right, there are two different things going on:
    1) Patch p7032837_11106_generic.zip which is for upgrade of a 3.1 installation to 3.1.1
    2) Full Version 3.1.1 which is used to install Apex from Scratch of upgrade an old version (e.g. 2.2) to 3.1.1
    Note: you can't use the Full Version 3.1.1 to upgrade from 3.1, therefore you have to use the Patch which is downloadable from metalink.oracle.com

    Hi,
    I have got problem when I was installing 10.2.0.3.0 Patch Set after succeed installation of Oracle 10.2.0.1 on Windows server 2003.
    Server was shut down by a coworker middle of installation of 10.2.0.3.0 Patch Set resulting that Patch 5556081 : was not applied ( see below opatch_history.txt ) .
    When I try to apply 10.2.0.3.0 again it fails saying that Patch Set is already installed.
    When I run OUI to see what has been installed I see only Interim Patch #5557962.
    I didn't create any database between the installations.
    So I can't apply OpachSet README.html advice .
    Uninstall PathSet :
    C:\> sqlplus /NOLOG
    SQL> CONNECT SYS/SYS_Password AS SYSDBA
    SQL> SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE
    SQL> EXIT
    Should I try to Create a Database and after that apply OpachSet README.html advice

  • 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4) Patch Set 3 for Linux x86 is available

    For all those who were in need of some bug fixing, maybe it has been patched in 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4) Patch Set 3 for Linux x86, which is now available for download.

    Hello Srini, thanks for your answer.

  • Patch  6867054 to 6810189 (10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4) Patch Set 3 )

    I'd like to go from 6867054 to 6810189 on Windows 32 bit machine. Can I just run the 6810189 setup.exe OR are there any intermediate patches to install.
    Opatch lsinventory is showing this:
    Interim patches (1) :
    Patch 6867054 : applied on Fri May 02 11:00:16 EDT 2008
    Created on 14 Apr 2008, 10 02 56 hrs
    Bugs fixed:
    Thanks.

    Hi.
    As I understand you want to upgrade to the patch set 3, in other words to 10.2.0.4.
    yes, you can use setup.exe for this. This patch set could be installed on any release starting from 10.2.0.1, regardless of the previous patch set, or interim patch's installed.
    I would recommend to read patch set installation instructions carefully, you can find all the information on read notes there.
    Make sure you backed up your current oracle home, oracle inventory and oracle database directories(i.e. datafiles).
    Patch sets and interim patches are cumulative, they themselves manages previously installed patch sets or interim patches. but patch bundles are specific for base patch sets.

  • [SOLVED] Braid AUR "ERROR: There is no agent set up to handle file..."

    SOLUTION AT BOTTOM OF THREAD!
    I have installed numerous AUR packages in the past.  However, this is the first that I am unable to figure out.
    I assume I am supposed to extract the tar, copy the Braid package files (from my owned copy of Braid) to the same directory, run makepkg, then install via pacman.  The problem I am having is when I go to use makepkg I get the following error:

    ==> Checking runtime dependencies...
    ==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
    ==> Retrieving Sources...

    SOLUTION! Provided by tdy
    braid-linux-build2.run.bin from Humble Indie Bundle 2 is required!
    You must edit the PKGBUILD file.
    source=("$_gamepkg"::"file://$_gamepkg"
    Change the source line to this:
    source=($_gamepkg
    Don't extract the braid file.  Just place it in the same directory as the PKGBUILD file.
    Run makepkg
    # makepkg -s
    Then run pacman
    pacman -U [filename].pkg.tar
    YOU ARE DONE!
    UPDATE!!!
    AFTER THIS THREAD WAS SOLVED, THE AUR PACKAGE WAS UPDATED TO SOLVE THIS ERROR.  JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE braid-linux-build2.run.bin FILE IN THE SAME DIRECTORY, AND THE INSTALL WILL WORK.
