Patches to CS6 caused Revert to Trial

I recently updated/patched CS6. It is now saying that all the applications are Trial versions and it will not accept the volume license key. I have several systems to manage and can't go around to each system to enter a password when the user wants to use the software. What caused the to revert to Trial and why won't it take the volume license key?

  • Why is Premiere Pro CS6 (perpetual) reverting to Trial Mode?

    I purchase 11 copies of Premiere Pro CS6 over a year ago. This is not a subscription!
    I have had to "re-license" these copies for the third time as they continue to revert to trail mode.
    This is accomplished by signing into my adobe account.
    This is very annoying......
    Can anyone explain why this is happening?

  • Registered version of CS6 keeps reverting to trial status

    I have a license for CS6 Production Premium and have been using the suite since mid-2011. Recently, launching one of the applications in the suite periodically prompts me to "continue your trial" or to register my products. Each time, I type in my serial number, Adobe's system appears to register or confirm registration of my product, and I go on my way. A few weeks later I get the "continue your trial" prompt again. Again I fetch my serial number and go through the process again.
    This keeps happening, and I want it to stop. I've bought the product, registered it, and installed it. Why does this trial status keep occurring?

  • License activation reverting to trial & -1 days remaining

    OK, I'm aware of an issue discussed in http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html
    This involves a fully registerred version of a Cloud licensed CS6 app reverting to trial mode, usually with a -1 days (I've had +22000 days shown one time!) but basically it gives a days remaining figure even after registerring.
    I believe from reading other forum posts (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4508772#4508772), that its something to do with opening a CS5 application which overwrites CS6 registration files, so triggering a re-registration each time. Adobes response is that they're aware of it and to resolve it, stop using CS5 versions, stick with cs6.
    OK, well, some might find that acceptable, I for one cant do that. I use Extensis web font plugin that comes as part of Font Fusion 4. It installs a plugin which accesses Googles web fonts and allows designers like myself to use live web fonts in their design mockups rather than having to download and install each one each time. It accesses the live list of fonts, and shows them automatically. Unfortunately Extensis cant make a CS6 version of their plugin as they blame Adobe for "issues they need to fix with fonts" before they can roll it out.
    So, I need to use Cs5 for Extensis font plugin (they blame Adobbe), yet want use Cs6 for advanced features (they understandably dont seem to care about fixes for Extensis software). I cant use either as one or the other causes headaches!
    Anyone else getting the trial issue problem and cant just ditch Photoshop CS5 fully like Adobe recommend?
    Anyone else use Extensis Web font pluging and have to use CS5 and CS6 and experiencing the same problem?
    When might Adobe fix the trial issues so I can keep and switch between PS CS6 and CS 6?
    Either that or can Adobe fix whatever "issues" are stopping Extensis from releasing the CS6 version of their plugin, and problem then solved for me?

    An Adobe Photoshop CS6 plug-in will be available after Adobe fixes a known issue that currently prevents font auto-activation and use of Extensis Font Panels by that application.

  • CC subscription just reverted to trial and no longer works (Flash CC / CS6)

    After six months of using Flash CS6 (Creative Cloud), last weekend I decided to try the Premiere CC Trial.
    That worked great and at the same time my Flash just switched to trial and became unusable (trial has expired already)
    I've tried everything suggested by Adobe Technical team so far and more which involves the usual unistalling everything and reinstalling, logging out and in, cleaner tool, etc.
    Still nothing will fix it.
    I think I noticed an update to the Creative Cloud app at about the same time - I'm wondering if it is this causing the issue....
    BTW, inside the Creative Cloud app, my account shows my valid subscription to both Flash CC and Flash CS6... and several other items show 'Install' rather than 'Try'
    Please help!

    I am so frustrated by this - I have already lost days of my time trying to fix this. Not to mention the thrill of paying for software I can't use.
    I have literally uninstalled and reinstalled everything I can think of a dozen times or more.. seen the post you mention already.
    I have never changed languages... seen all the other stuff on the other thread too.
    But guess what.. that is all pretty irrelevant because I was assuming that this was something to do with my particular machine.. but it isn't.
    The proof? I went to my Mac which can also run the CC software and has been doing so just fine.. till.. you guessed it.. today..
    Just tried that and the same thing has happened.. all reverted to trial.
    So it is at your end... on your servers.. it has to be, right?
    And all this nonsense you are dishing out here is just a massive waste of time. Well I'll need to fume in the corner for a bit longer I'm afraid.....
    So.. trying to get calm and rational again...
    The only thing I have changed on my account online is my id and password because I have literally tried everything I could think of... even that.
    So my adobe id has changed.
    I am signing into CC with the correct id and password.
    Unless you are going to tell me that that has broken my Mac versions then please do let me know what on earth is supposed to be going on here...

  • CS6 Products requiring serial key suddenly after being used fine since luanch? Wont accept my key (pasted from my adobe account). Reverted to trial. Please help!

    I've had the CS6 Master collection since it was released and havent had any problems with it until today. It is asking me for my serial key (for the first time since its been installed) and says the one I am providing is invalid. What is happening here? I'm giving it the key that is saved in my adobeID and is registered etc. I almost wasnt able to complete some work except that it reverted to a 30 day trial, which isnt much better because I will just need to confront this problem again in 30 days. Does anyone know why it wont accept my key? I have it on a second computer and it is doing the same thing. Both worked fine yesterday. I really wanted to talk to someone, but adobe makes that near impossible.

    "Similar" problem here. I have bought a new PC, and want to install my precious CS5.5 to the new system.
    All I get is an "illegal serial number" message. Even though I deactivated on the old pc and even though I copy the serial (for the pc version) from my official products page (or whatever that page is called)...
    That's when the ordeal started to get someone at Adobe to figure out what is wrong.
    No voice support for my "old" version. 2011? Old? Come on?!
    The chat support is a Turin test, with no solution whatsoever.
    The websites linked to in the final "chat" lines which should answer my questions are utterly useless.
    So last attempt: I try overhere... and add my questions to you, OP...
    Note that the only way in which I can get a fast human reply is by calling the number for buying the new CC! Shame on you Adobe!

  • Activated CS6 reverting to trial problem for 2 years

    I have had this issue for more than 2 years now and still I can't find a solution. Have worked with support on the phone and they were never able to help. All solutions including WMI etc. failed and I can't see where there was ever a fix. So all the money I paid for this software and I have to enter the serial number every time I use any of CS6 Design and Web Premium software. I use Photoshop continuously so most of the time I just keep it turned on. Does anyone at Adobe have a fix for this? I refuse to upgrade until this is resolved for what I have paid for. This has been played out for several months a few years ago on this thread: Activated CS6 reverting to trial. No update or fix except this idiotic fix Adobe put out: 64-bit products convert to trial on launch or prompts for activation after licensing. Please see if there is anything you can do. Looking for new software.

    I have had this same problem since June with CS6 Production Premium on win7 64 bit (installed from DVD on Dell XPS15 laptop). As you state, this is a known problem. It has been with "engineering" for over a month, but that doesn't stop front-line support from having customers waste hours going through troubleshooting that won't work ; though to be fair it looks like your troubleshooting was some of the stuff they tried with me most recently and it looks like your experience of using different admin accounts etc has not long term benefit for the affected user (like my experience).   • Cloud apps have reverted to trial

    It seems that at around the time of my latest Creative Cloud update that all of my loaded apps have reverted back to trial status. Any ideas how to get rid of that and get my real apps back?

  • Photoshop CS6 full version suddenly trial?

    It's actually CS6 extended (student edition), and it suddenly became the trial version. I couldn't find the problem with it originally, and now it won't even let me open the program! It opens up the trial box, which I close, and it won't open t he application.
    I did some research, and it had something to do with the latest update which I just took and installed. However, it still isn't working.
    I do a lot of my work in this program, and it would be great to get it back up and running again. I am running it on Windows 7.
    Also, we just recently moved, so I don't know where the box is to find the serial number. I do have it installed on the other computer, but I prefer to use it on this computer.
    I have also looked into this, and cannot find the serial number in the other computer. I have tried opening the registry edit via run, but I wasn't able to locate the serial number. (The instructions I found for this were for XP, so it was a little different)
    Does anybody  know how to find the serial number within your computer once it's already installed?

    You are running into a permission problem.  Google something like "PS reverts to trial version" and you will see a lot of hits.
    It it happens each time you open PS, then start PS by right clicking on icon, then doing what is needed to change to regular version.  It should stay that way.

    I have an Creative Cloud accound but photoshop keeps gooing back to the trail mode. There should be an deactivate option in the help section but this is nowhere to be found. Hope there is an other sallution or maybe i should just delete and reinstall everything. But then i need a way to recover my action's.

    in cc apps there is no deactivate option.  that's been changed to a 'sign out' option.

    Since the last update my Creative Cloud connection signs itself out several times a day. Applications continuously revert to trial mode and need to be relicensed. I cannot stress how annoying it is to be reading a PDF only for Acrobat to close and then be invited to start my "trial". Whilst this doesn't actually stop my use of the Adobe applications it is very disruptive to my normal work flow. What I struggle to understand is why the appliactions so quickly revert to trial mode. Surely even if the CC connection is lost they should remain licensed for days?
    Running Windows 7 and the main apps I use are Illustrator CS6, Illustrator CC, Photoshop CS6, Photoshop CC & Acrobat XI Pro.

    My system is windows 7 X64 ultimate, 8G ram and 500G HDD
    When I tried to download CS6 master collection (korean)
    trial version via adobe download asistance, everytime when the progress is about 2/3 complete, the statement "error 110....." or 108 appear and the download stopped.
    I tried to restart the download, but the download didn't restart again. Even I tried another new download, but the same thing happened again.
    Also I tried format my computer,but same thing happened again.
