Patching through Deployment Procedures

Hi
I try to patch my databases 10.2.0.4 (CPU Oct release) through Deployment Procedures in Grid Control but its failing on Step: stagePatchStageApply without any warnings or comments. (Everything was working until GC crashed because of lack of space on filesystem. I have deleted the old files from softwareLibrary and restarted GC. OS reboot do not help as well.). Besides patching all is working well.
OS: Enterprise Linux 4.

Paste the emoms.trc meanwhile Can you try by setting up another software lib

    Here is the output log from the error. Any ideas. It appears to look like configuration missing.

  • Fusion Middleware Provisioning Deployment Procedure - Failing

    Hi,
    I have been trying to run the Fusion Middleware Provisioning (version 4.1) deployment procedure by choosing the existing installation as Fusion Middleware Home.
    Going through the logs, the perl script (applyclone.pl) is unable to create the destination directory. However, I am unable to find the cause for it. Also, the directive "Create FMW Clone Archive" generates the following log - with error "Oracle home is not cloneable".
    Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Provisioning weblogic domain thr FMW Provisioning Deployment Procedure

    I have successfully created a replica of the Fusion Middleware Home through the Fusion Middleware Deployment Procedure, but am not able to deploy the weblogic domain using the same.
    I am providing all the inputs/details required in the procedure , but at the end while submitting the procedure it shows .. some values are invalid.
    I am not able to get any logs or any information on the invalid values.
    The steps where I provide the inputs are :
    1) Select Source
    2) Select Target
    3) Configure Domain
    4) Scehdule Deployment
    5) Review
    and after this when i submit it .. am not able to submit.
    Pls provide guidance for it.

    Hi,
    In order to install Forms and Reports , Weblogic on windows server the prerequisites needs to be met :-
    Assign Proper ip, hostname & domain name
    Entry of ip, host name & domain name in etc/hosts file
    Disable anti-virus if any

  • OEM 12c export Deployment Procedure - partool

    Hello,
    We want to export a Deployment Procedure with the emctl partool utility (E27046-01-D.4 Exporting Deployment Procedures). Before we export the procedure we need to control the Software Library: $ORACLE_HOME/bin/emctl partool check.
    When we run the command we get an Error:
    ERROR !
    Software Library has not been setup !
    Please configure Software Library and try again.
    But from our point of view we have set up the Library, because you need to have one for the Agent deployment. Under Enterprise/Provisioning and Patching/Software Library I can see the different folders of the Software Library.
    We checked the log files for any changing right after the execution of the check command (bash-3.2$ find -name *.log -amin 2) but there were no entries in any log file.
    What do we have to do to eliminate this error?
    Thanks in advance

    This is a bug and we are working on the fix for this issue. This issue is with "partool check" command only, all other partool commands are fine.
    For now, customers should ignore this error if they have already setup the swlib.

  • Missing Deployment Procedures

    Does anyone know how to find and download Oracle Database Provisioning procedure for OEM Grid 10.2.0.3.0? I am applied all of the patches required for provisioning, but the procedure does not show up under deployment procedure manager.

  • One Step DVD From VCR Patched Through Mini-DV

    I guess the One Step method only works with Device Control inputs?
    I've got my VCR patched through my MiniDV camera, and a Firewire cable to the Mac. When I choose One Step DVD, it looks for a tape in my camera. But I can capture in FCP with this same setup.
    I guess iDVD 5.0 won't let me capture this way? I don't see any preferences I can change.
    Also, is there a maximum length of capture in iDVD 5.0?
    Thanks!

    I guess the One Step method only works with Device Control inputs?
    Yep - OneStep will not work witout timecode.
    from http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300735
    Note: OneStep DVD will only capture from recorded tape on a DV camcorder or deck. OneStep DVD will not work with analog-to-DV converters. It will also not work if you are using your camcorder or deck as a pass-through device to digitize from an analog souce (such as VHS or Hi-8). In order to function, OneStep DVD reads the timecode from your DV tape and it relies on DV device control to communicate with the camera or deck.

  • Verification of the existence of an email account and reading it through a procedure?

    Good afternoon,
    I wonder if there is any possibility of verifying the existence of an email account through a procedure?
    And there is also the possibility to learn to read a particular email and store in a temporary table.
    Thank you

    That's not possible.
    Many mail servers are configured not to send bounce messages if an invalid email address is specified.  If a mail server allows a bounce message, it becomes easy for spammers to compile a list of valid email addresses for the domain by trying various common combinations (i.e. [email protected], [email protected], etc.).  So you can't do it across every possible valid email address in the entire internet.
    What is the actual problem you are trying to solve, though?  It seems highly unlikely that if you have email addresses that are part of an ERP that you really need to do this blindly.  What do you use the email addresses for?  Does the recipient have some reason to want to receive the emails that are sent to that address?  If so, it would generally make sense to let the recipient verify the address periodically.  On sign-up, assuming you are dealing with individuals outside of your company, you can send them a confirmation message that contains a link they need to click on to activate their account in order to verify that the email address they are providing is correct.

  • How to retrive data through stored procedure in mysql from remote machine?

    Hello everybody,
    I am having problem in accessing data of mysql through stored procedure. It works fine if I use "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/[database name]" instead of "jdbc:mysql://[IP address]:3306/[database name]". The connection is fine for both, but when stored procedure is called the system stops at "stmt.execute();" line in java file while debuging. In case of localhost there is no any problem. The code for connecting procedure is:
    stmt = dbConn.prepareCall("{? = call testing()}"); stmt.registerOutParameter(1, Types.VARCHAR); stmt.execute();
    I have to connect java application running in Windows to the mysql database running in remote machine(RHEL 5).
    I am using "mysql-connector-java-5.1.5-bin.jar", jdk 1.5.0 and remote database Mysql version : 5.0.22.
    There is no exception and application hangs at stmt.execute();
    Can anybody help me with this problem?
    Thank you.

    I got it. its about connection...

  • Sending Long Raw Data to Oracle database through Stored  Procedure

    Hi,
    I am trying to push data to Oracle 9i database through Stored Procedure via thin driver. It is going smoothly upto 29411 bytes. But it is not accepting for 53843 bytes and giving following error :
    java.sql.SQLException: Data size bigger than max size for this type: 53843
    Is it thin driver limitation? Can I solve it by using OCI driver? Or is there any other approach?
    I tried creating connection pool in weblogic 7.0 through OCI driver. But I am not able to configure it. Is there any special way of configuration.
    Quick response will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    It happens to me. But I am using CMP of Weblogic 7. If you write your own jdbc code, the following link may be helpful.

  • Insert Into Vs Insert through a Procedure

    Hi All,
    I want to make a comparison between insertion into a table through normal insert into staement and through a procedure.
    I create a table call test_table with 6 columns and a procedure to insert in that table.
    I opened a session that make normal insert for 32 times and another session that uses the procedure to insert for 39 times. My experience says that insertion through a procedure is faster than normal insert into statement. but when i make trace for both sessions here is the results:

    So in session 2 parsing of the procedure it self is still done in each execution but for the statment inside it no and in session1 parsing for the insert is done for every execution. So does this proof my knowledge or it is wrong?
    I see that instead of parsing the insert in session1 there is parsing for the procedure in session2 is that correct?
    Thanks in advance

    Tomy3k_Bakr, you are doing the comparison wrong. Are you running these from sqlplus over and over again? Sqlplus parses every statement you send, this is not the correct way to compare.
    Try this instead.

  • Update Yes/No field in access table through oracle procedure

    Hi,
    How to update Yes/No field in access table through oracle procedure. all other fields like AutoNumber, Text I can update it. Yes/No field how to update? Please, any one can help me?
    Thanks and Regards,

    select "fldPost" from tblPHd@ODBCLNKNot quite sure what you mean, but the way you select the column would indicate a case sensitive column name
    Look at this example
    SQL> create table t
      2  ("this" varchar2(10))
      3  /
    Table created.
    SQL> insert into t values ('hello')
      2  /
    1 row created.
    SQL> select *
      2    from t
      3  /
    this
    hello
    SQL> select this
      2    from t
      3  /
    select this
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00904: "THIS": invalid identifier
    SQL> select "this"
      2    from t
      3  /
    this
    helloIs your column name also case sensitive?

  • Return a parameter through stored procedures

    Hello Experts
    I want to return parameter through stored procedures so as to ensure that the application has been executed properly.
    My source message format is
    <StatementName5>
    <storedProcedureName action=u201D EXECUTEu201D>
      <table>Summarize_prc</table>
    <empid  [isInput=u201Dtrueu201D] [isOutput=true] type=SQLDatatype>val1</empid>
    </storedProcedureName >
    </StatementName5>
    Do i need to put some extra parameters for return values from the stored procedures?
    What would be the response message format to return the parameters from stored procedure.
    Thanks
    Sabyasachi

    Hi,
    If you wants to read the return values from stored procedure, the scanario should be designed as Sync.
    The format looks like thsi
    <Message Type Name>
          <STATEMENTNAME_response>
                      <Field1> </Field1>
       </STATEMENTNAME_response>
    </Message Type Name>

  • Mapping runs through Deployment Manager but hangs in Process Flow

    Hi,
    I have a Mapping bound in a simple Process Flow.
    The mapping deploys through Deployment Manager and runs. It currently processes no rows and takes a couple of seconds to do that. It completes with a Success message.
    However, when I wrap it into a simple Process Flow...
    --- w ---> END_WARNING
    START ---> MY_MAPPING ---- s ---> END_SUCCESS
    --- e ---> END_ERROR
    .., deploy this and run it through the Deployment Manager, it hangs. I get the 'Execution in progress...' window with the moving graphic forever.
    The Runtime Repository Browser Execution Report tells me that it is 'Busy', and if I drill down to the Process Flow Run Execution Report, I see an identical Start and End Time, an Elapsed Time of 0 seconds, and no other details (Execution Parameters, Activity Details or Error Messages).
    Looking under 'Find Processes' on the Workflow Home Page, my workflow has no status in the Process List. Drilling down to the Diagram, I have a green line from the 'Start' element to my Mapping but the Mapping itself has no special colour.
    I go back to the Deployment Manager and cancel the job - which it does and reports that it 'Completed with errors'.
    The Runtime Repository Browser Execution Report now tells me that it is 'Busy' (with an information bubble), and if I drill down to the Process Flow Run Execution Report, I see different Start and End Times, and Elapsed Time of n seconds, a single Error Message 'RPE-01002: The operation was aborted at user request.', and no other details (Execution Parameters, Activity Details).
    Looking under 'Find Processes' on the Workflow Home Page, my workflow has a status of 'Complete' in the Process LIst. Drilling down to the Diagram, I still have a green line from the 'Start' element to my Mapping and the Mapping itself still has no colour and no indication that it has stopped.
    I'm running:
    Oracle9i EE 9.2.0.5.0
    Oracle10g OWB Client 10.2.0.1.0
    Oracle10g OWB Repository 10.1.0.1.0
    Anybody know how I can go about tracking down why this Process Flow is hanging - and, of course, getting it unhung :-)
    Regards
    Steve

    Hello Steve,
    It's a little difficult to read the exact flow from your ASCII graphics.
    However, from your description it seems your workflow task only has an outgoing success connector, and your execution was not a success. This will stop the execution of that branch of your process flow, since there are no valid routes to take. If you only have a single branch in your workflow, the process flow is stuck.
    To expedite your hung process you just click on the task icon in the Workflow Monitor graph window that does not have a green outgoing connector, press the Expedite button and select skip.
    Corollary: If you use conditional connectors, always use all 3 from a task. I not using all 3, have a very good understanding of why you don't.
    Regards, Hans Henrik

  • How to get hostname from targetlist in custom deployment procedure?

    When I make a simple procedure with a phase that will loop through a procedure hostname list
    and a hostcmd or directive inside that will use the hostname ex change a configuration file. How to get hostname from the hostname targetlist?
    I would rather not use $(hostname) or similar function if I can get the hostname from the target list.
    Edited by: user476601 on 2012-09-06 05:59

    I have tried that and cannot get it to work.
    I have tried to make a procedure with:
    parameter
    - parallel fase
    - step directive with hostname parm based on simple sh script (echo $hostname)
    - map hostname setvalue %TargetName%
    In a hostcmd step you cannot access %TargetName% directly
    it doesn't work. Please come with an example if you have tried it.
    /René
