Pattern Overlay Preview Box

Please Help - The pattern overlay preview box has shrunk to a tiny slit and it won't scroll, it's the same with the texture preview box. It was working fine then recently it started getting smaller, the patterns were difficult to see and scrolling became difficult. Now it is just a thin slit is impossible to see anything and it won't work.

Sorted now went to Adobe

Photoshop CC 2014. Pattern overlay preview window has schrinked

Strange issue here. The preview window in the layer panel for pattern overlay has schrinked down to just show one pattern. Can't scroll. Can't resize. Can't use patterns that is. The same thing is happening to the preview window in the gradients panel. It doesn't collaps all of a sudden, it becomes smaller and smaller over time. Anybody seen this?

Could you please post a screenshot to illustrate the issue?
Have you tried restoring the Preferences yet?

Photoshop CC 2014 pattern overlay tooltip not showing

It appears the tooltip in pattern overlay dialog box is broken. It makes it very hard to create background images when you can't see the image dimensions. Anyone have a fix for this?

Please correct me, are you referring to the below mentioned snapshot:
where: we are seeing the image name and related pixels details as a tool tip? If so, please check whether you have selected the "Show Tool Tips" option from the preferences panel.
How to check: in PhotoShop CC2014, go to "Edit--> Preferences", Select "Interface" from the panel and check for "Show tool tips" option to be checked. You can then observe the behavior.

Photoshop cc for windows 64 bit-are there filters and/ or pattern overlays that become part of photoshops filter menu?

In the many iterations(last 6months) of photoshop cc running on a win7 pro 64 bit box. There are filters like stones marble concrete and some pattern overlays that have disappeared. IE NOT THERE ANYMORE! So I am trying to find them-not sure if they were add ins plug ins or even non adobe -BUT APPROVED TESTED ADD INS PLUGINS NONETHE LESS these filters for effect are mission critical!

My preview box wont isn't working, and my project won't open

Not only does the video not play back in the preview box (but it will play back in full screen), but I have a project that wont open at all. Its a seven minute video so far and it suddenly wont let me view it. Its still listed under Project Library but I cant access it. This happened after my iMovie froze while I was playing the project back.
My system preferences are updated, and I read and followed someones elses directions to delete both "com.apple.iMovieApp.plist" and "com.apple.iApps.plist" but that didnt do anything. This is all on my desktop so I cant take the whole thing into apple! Lol. Please any suggestions would help. I put so much time into it I would hate to have to start all over again! Especially with no preview box working :/
This is my first time using iMovie and the computer is only 6 months old.

Ok figured out that my project was corrupt (idk how) and when I removed it out of iMovie projects folder than the preview box started working again... How confusing.

Bridge - unable to view image in preview box

When I open bridge and got to Filstrip or Essential workspace I can not get the image to appear in the preview box.

Most of the problems with filmstrip mode relate to the vido card. Make sure you have latest
dirvers. If card marginal one can go to advanced preferences and click
on software rendering.

There used to be a preview window in mail where you could read the message in the mail box but now its gone. It just shows me who its from and the date. I now have to click on the message twice to get it to display. How do I get the preview box back?

There is a bug in Mail triggered by receiving a password-protected PDF as an attachment. According to reports, the bug is fixed in OS X 10.8.5.

Video preview box not working

The video preview box is blank and does not work with downloaded videos. Tried deleting com.apple.iMovie8.plist and running disk Utility to repair disk permissions, but did not work.

Try restarting your Mac and seeing if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't work, go to the menu bar and choose Apple > Software Update... . There may be an important iMovie update you've missed.

Why do I always to check the Preview box when applying an illustrator effect?

It's annoying. I reckon, one does want to preview the effect more often than not. It could also be a box that remember it's setting.

Oh god yes I wish that box would at least remember its setting. They're all over Illustrator and they're always off when you open the dialogue. It made sense when they were originally written, back when the average machine had a speed measured in Mhz, but not any more.
Live effects, blends, global color swatches, it all needs to remember if I checked the 'preview' box last time I used it. I'm sick of turning that on all the time.

Issue with Preview Box

I have just started using my Abode Premier Pro CS6, and I have a slight issue, that is probably just me not being used to the programme.
Basically, I import a video, and drag it to the timeline, this video appears in two places, The preview box and a source box. However, the Preview box has zoomed in my video and I am unable to see half the footage, this may be my settings with the when I click on the Zoom Level in the preview box, it doesnt show the whole video, onnly the zoomed in part, more zoomed, or less zoomed than before but on the Source box, I can view the whole video.
This is probably just an error on my behalf, but if someone could please enlighten me on what I need to do to view the whole video in the preview box, it would be much appreciated as it is making me struggle to create this video.

Hey Mathew, I'm brand new to this program and experienced this same problem yesterday. After going thru everything to try and make it work, (and believe me, I tried every button and drop down in the program) out of boredom, I went to the scaling window directly under the image in the sequence window, I changed the scale to 25%, then clicked the image and a white outline appeared around the window image. I clicked and moved my cursor around the upper left corner of the white line/box until I got diagonal arrows ( you will get vertical and horizontal arrows as well but move your cursor slightly around till you get the diagonal arrows. You only want the diagonal arrows) and then click on and pull it in till it perfectly outlined the image and it gave me the whole image. I'm not sure if this will affect scaling or not when outputed, but it did get me to the point where I could work easier with the window. Hope this helps.

Tracing Options Preview box won't check in Ai CS3

This should be a simple one for all you experts. I'm new to Illustrator. I opened a downloaded world map as a JPEG and saved it as both JPEG and TIFF. I'm playing around with Illustrator CS3 and wanted to convert the map from raster to vector format using Live Trace. I clicked on Object>Live Trace>Options and to play around with the settings, previewing them to see what looked good. For some reason the preview box won't open to check. I've clicked on nearly everything in the tracing options box hoping to activate the preview, but nothing works.
What am I missing? It's not the machine, I'm sure it's my ignorance, but in case you're wondering, I'm using a 20" iMac 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 500 GB HD, Mac OS 10.5.6, Ai CS3 v 13.0.2. I didn't open the map with Ps, but with Preview and saved it to TIFF from there. Preview doesn't work with with either the TIFF or JPEG docs. The downloaded file is US Web coated (SWOP) v2 JPEG and I have that and CMYK color settings in Ai for this document.

Pattern overlay lost when converting to editable text?

Hey everyone.
I'm using CS5, PC.
I'm facing an issue I never faced before and I can't find a relevant answer for CS5. I did see an answer that is probably correct for CS3, but I hope its solves by now.
Try 1.
I imported a PSD as composition with merge layer styles.
I then go to a text layer, which I want to convert to an editable text layer. When I open the properties, no layer styles appear. (because I chose mergerd layer styles composition..)
The original PSD in photoshop has only a pattern overlay.
When I convert it to editable text, the pattern overlay disappears.
Try 2.
same importing settings.. go to the text layer...
Right click ->layer style -> convert to editable layer styles - - - > Patter overlay + Blending options appear in layers properties.
Second Right click -> convert to editable text - - - > pattern overlay disappears.
Try 3.

I then go to a text layer, which I want to convert to an editable text layer. When I open the properties, 'Layer style' appears. can toggle on/off.
Right click -> convert to editable text - - - > pattern overlay disappears.
But - 'Layer style' still appears in the properties, and it's on. But now when I toggle on/off, nothing changes.. Pattern is gone..
Conclusion:
From this I get to the conclusion, that I cannot convert a text layer which has a pattern overlay into editable text, and retain the pattern
I hope I'm wrong, and there is a way to retain the pattern.
Please let me know if you have a solution, or if you know for sure that my conclusion is correct..

There is always a work around, there's just no easy workaround for unsupported layer styles to editable text. The complexity of the workaround depends entirely on what you are planning to do with your 'editable text' in AE. A little more info about your project would help.

Pattern overlay not working with PS CS Extended

Im using CS5 extended and Im having trouble with pattern overlay. I tried to put a pattern onto a shirt but when i tick the pattern overlay It doesnt give me any option on changing the pattern. does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you

Click on the words Pattern Overlay to see the settings.
That applies to the other choices in the layer styles dialog as well.

Transfer pattern overlays from layer styles Photoshop CS2 to CS4

I was wondering is there a way to transfer my pattern overlays from my layer styles from Photoshop CS2 to the CS4? Thanks in advance.

Save them from the flyout menu in the top right corner of the Actions palette in CS2, then load them into CS4.

Layer Style - Pattern Overlay - the tile dimensions tooltip has gone?

In Layer Style -> Pattern Overlay previous Photoshop versions (i.e. CS5) you could hover over the thumbnail and you would get a tooltip appearing that showed you the original image file dimensions. I need this feature back! Is there any way to get it back?

It still works in Preset Manager … curious.
