  • Launch Camera App / Insert Image(s)

    Hello,
I did some browsing but was not able to find something similar to the question I have.
I have a client who would like me to build some .PDF form(s) for his construction crews. The objective is to eliminate all the paperwork they currently have (not a problem with fill forms and Reader on their Apple tablets).
But here is where I run into a problem trying to create what he wants / needs. He wants the the user to have the ability to launch the camera program from within the .PDF form in Reader, snap the photos needed with their tablet, and insert them into the form. While I have found some java script that will allow them to click a "button" in the form and insert a .PDF, they really need the ability to insert the .jpg images taken by the tablet's camera.
With that said here are my goals:
Create a button that will launch their camera app allowing them to take photos of the job site
Insert the photos they take into the form - this can be a blank document page(s) just for the photos
Save the .PDF form and use a button to send the form. Email is the only option to send a form I believe??
I am using the latest versions of Adobe CC products (for windows) including Acrobat Pro XI, InDesign, Illustrator etc. to create this job. As I mentioned above, my client will be using Reader on Apple tablets.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
    Adam

    Hello,
    Thank you for your response!
I have considered an HTML / web based version instead of the .PDF option, but there are often times they do not have internet access, and would be required to save the file(s) to send them once they do have internet access.
    Here is my plan B...
If I use a standard send form button which launches their email program, they could then attach the photos to the email and send the form and photos together. While this would be a fairly simple solution, they goal of the business owner was to keep this as simple as possible for the crews. Although, I would think that any solution would be better than filling out paper forms in triplicate
Thoughts on this option, or maybe a more streamlined way of implementing this idea?
    Thank you again
    Adam

  • Xperia Z1 launching camera app unwittingly

    Hello,
sometimes my Xperia Z1 is launching unwittingly camera app. Sometimes it does very often like every 3 seconds. I press home and then it appears again automatically. Sometimes It make once but never expected and bit annoying...
It is happening even though after I lock the display!!
Do anybody have solution? Thank you...

Try to perform a system repair and see if that fixes the issue
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

  • How do I stop auto launch of apps at start

Even when unchecking the box at shutdonw to not repoen apps at start up, the system continues to reopen apps at the next start up.

When user settings are not sticking you can run a reset in the recovery drive. This is not the same step as repair permissions in Disk Utility.

  • Apps auto-launch on startup, despite System Prefs and quitting before shutdown.

All apps that were open before shutdown are relaunching themselves upon startup.
This behavior occurs even if I quit each application individually before initiating system shutdown.
This behavior occurs whether I tick or untick the following settings within System Preferences / General:
    • Ask to keep changes when closing documents.
    • Close windows when quitting an application.
This behavior occurs despite none of the apps being listed within System Prefs / Login Items.
Examples of auto-launching apps (behavior occured just now with these): TextEdit, Dictionary, Calendar, Contacts, Safari, Firefox, Excel, Acrobat.

This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box markedAllow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use  another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Default Camera App Tile Missing and Won't Launch from c:\windows\camera. Also missing from Windows Store to reinstall.

    Hi There,
I am deploying a custom windows 8.1 enterprise image via SCCM to Surface Tablets in our corporate environment.  We currently are using windows 8 ONLY on surface hardware.
We only have 4 in the wild but all are having the same issue.  The camera app tile/shortcut is missing from the all applications menu.
If I try to launch it from the c:\windows\camera folder i receive an error regarding Windows.UI.Xaml.dll as I believe it needs to be  called via the modern environment (not desktop).
It dose not appear to be a hardware issue as third party camera apps seem to work.
Also, when i search for the app in windows store it cannot be found.  I can find it when i search the store via IE but when I click on the link to open it in the windows store i am only presented with the stores front page.
Any advice would be appreciated as my users are keen to use the camera on their surface pro 3's.
    Thanks

This sounds as though the Camera app has become corrupt in your image. I would attempt to reimage one of the devices with a vanilla environment to see if the issue appears, if not, I would
evaluate the difference between the Camera app in the vanilla environment and the production environment. Specifically, you may need to ensure that the correct version of Camera is provisioned in the base image.

  • My camera app is crashing! I am felling frustrated ! I bought my iPhone 5s in u.s unlocked one, but I'm in India now what should I do?? Can I claim for warranty?

My camera app is crashing! I am felling frustrated ! I bought my iPhone 5s in u.s unlocked one, but I'm in India now what should I do?? Can I claim for warranty?

Warranty claims can only be made in the country of purchase.
Try resetting your iPhone.  Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
If that does not fix it, check Settings > General > Usage and make sure you have enough free storage.

  • Camera App Won't Launch from Lock Screen after update

After updating to ios 8 and then 8.1 my camera app will not launch from the lockscreen. When I swipe up on the camera app I see my home screen wallpaper until I press the home button or the lock button.

    Hey morpeo,
Thanks for the question. Let’s see if we can isolate the issue further. To do so, try restarting/resetting your device:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If the issue persists after a restart, let’s see if we can isolate to software or hardware by backing up and restoring your device as new:
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
After erasing and setting up as a new device, your device is now in a factory configuration. Test to determine if erasing and setting up as a new device resolved the issue. Content on the device may have caused unexpected behavior.
If the issue is still present, you may want to contact Apple Support.
    Thanks,

  • Auto launch app when iPod/iPhone docking station connected

    Is it Possible?
    For example,
Plug In Launcher(android app) is a free and simple Android background service application that saves you a few taps by automatically launching an app of your choice whenever a power (USB) cable, or headphones are connected to your device.
I want to know that it is available on iPhone
    Please help me~

  • TS1717 iTunes will not auto-launch like it used to on Win7. Also cannot start in SAFE mode

I've had this computer & this installation of iTunes for a very long time. It has always worked perfectly, and will auto-start every time I connect the iPhone. (my iPhone would light up and display the "Sync in Progress" message on its screen)
The last few times I've connected it (same phone, same cord, same USB port, same comp., same install of Win7, no Library changes, no new components, no AntiVirus changes - nothing different) iTunes will NOT launch, and the Sync wil not take place.
    But...
If -- after connecting the iPhone -- I manually launch iTunes, it proceeds normally thru the various steps except that the iPhone does NOT display any messages on its screen.  I've tried several times, and re-booted the comp several times.  I've also followed the Apple T/S steps and deleted the two config files & re-booted.  No difference.
Yes - the preferences are set to allow the Sync when I plug in the iPhone.
Yes - I am the only user.
    Yes - I am using a working cable...into a working USB port.
No - I have no third party add-ons or extensions.
    One odd thing:
On the many, many previous occasions that I've opened the list of Running Applications...iTunesHelper.exe has been opne of the various apps running on the computer.  Lately that app has vanished from the list, and...
No - I have not un-checked it in the STARTUP list.

    Well...I was partially-blind.
I had a second look at my MSCONFIG list...and 'waay down at the bottom was iTunesHelper...with its checkbox clear.  oops.
I ticked it of course, and then manually launched iTunesHelper.exe and re-connected the iPhone.  iTunes auto-launched, and (as usual) it stepped thru the various stages like it's supposed to, but still no pop-up message on the iPhone screen.
Now I'm wondering if that came to an end when I made the jump to the iPhone5 from iPhone4(?) because it certainly seems to be syncing alright...just no pop-up on the iPhone's screen.

  • Why does Camera App crash?

Recently the Camera App on my iPhone 4s started to crash irregularly - in particular, when I take a picture without unlocking the screen and when I then try to look at the picture (which used to work fine before). The screen simply freezes (with a blurry version of the picture visible) and the iPhone doesn't react to anything (including the "Home" button). If I do nothing, after a while it seems to go through an "Auto-reboot" - the white apple appears, and then it's back to normal. Can anyone comment on the cause and how to fix/avoid this?
