Pauses in music after 1 minute

Hello,
I am having all kinds of problems with my APX and computer. I have done alot of searching and have not been able to find an answer. When listening to music through itunes I will get a pause in the music every minute; literally every minute without fail. I have looked at my wireless networks as referred to this article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=108063. My network is the only one visible. I have also tried all the settings in the admin utility.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

Do you have the most recent firmware installed on the AE?

Along with the most recent version of iTunes?

  • Apple TV stops playing iMatch music after several minutes

    Model: MD199NF/A
    Software: 5.1 (5201)
After updating to software version 5.1, I'm experiencing trouble with my Apple TV and my iMatch music.
After starting the music using iMatch it starts normal and nothing is wrong, but sometimes it stops after a few minutes (5-30 min).
The only thing to get it started again is to restart my Apple TV or else it wil keep trying to load my (iMatch) music and nothing happens at all.
Are there more users having this problem? What is the possible solution to this problem?
    Thanks in advance

  • Apple TV stops playing music after 5 minutes requiring iTunes restart

I am using a 2nd gen Apple TV, Apple Airport Extreme, and a PC.  Since the latest Apple TV update, whenever we play music from our iTunes library the music only plays a maximum of 5 minutes then stops.  To get it to play again I have to exit iTunes on my PC and start it up again.  There are no error messages to indicate what may have happened.  I have tried a bunch of different things including restarting everything multiple times, disabling the screen saver on the Apple TV and restarting my router.
I have been using this particular Apple TV since release without issue and and have only experienced this since the last Apple TV update.  Help!
    Thanks

It is a known issue and un-conventional remedy.
It is Hardware failure. I would get the iPhone changed for a good one.

  • Using a radio app to Airplay music through my Apple TV. Works, but after some minutes, the Airplay audio output setting switches back to iPad. Why? Solution?

I want to use a FM radio app to Airplay music through my Apple TV (by using the synchronizing function). Works, but after some minutes, the Airplay audio output setting switches back to iPad. Why? Solution?
Why don't use iTunes? Because this just needs to many handling in order to get it where i want it (in general, this whole idea of doing everything online just works likes... ). An app is easier (that's why it is invented).

    Hey AKfishgirl,
Thanks for the question. The common variable here is your Wi-Fi router. Let’s check to see if the commonly used ports are being blocked by a firewall on your router:

  • Airplay stops playing music from my iPhone 5 IOS7 after 5 minutes or so.

I want to listen to my music on my tv using Apple TV (latest Apple TV with latest firmware) from my iPhone 5. But after 5 minutes it stops playing. What can be done about this?

I have been scouring everywhere for a solution to a similar problem where the audio would drop out for a second or two ever 5 or so seconds - regardless of whether we were streaming content or using an iPad and Air Play.
I tried changing the audio channels on the ATV as suggested elsewhere and here - no luck.
Played with the settings on the Air port Express - no luck.
We swapped the ATV to a different tv and it worked fine.
Then played with the audio settings on the SONY Bravia - no luck.
Swapped the audio out on the ATV to play through the Air Port Express and plugged in the some headphones.  NO AUDIO DROP OUTS!
My deduction - a problem with the HDMI cable.  Borrowed a friend's cable - wasn't going to spend another $50+ if the cable wasn't the problem.  And lo and behold the HDMI cable was the problem.
    Only took 3 hours.

  • Itunes music library player logs out after 5 minutes

    Running iTunes 11.1.1
When playing music from my music library, the application closes after 5 minutes if the computer is not touched, i.e. volume changed, tune skipped, etc. It's like it "logs off".  I don't have any sleep settings turned on.  This happens with battery or with power plugged in. Any suggestions as to what might be causing?

I've had the same issue since upgrading to latest iOS 5.1 on appletv and latest patches on mountain lion mine usually drops out after a minute

  • Nano shuts down music after 30 seconds of play

I just got a 6th gen Nano. When I play music, it shuts off after a minute or so and the screen goes dark. If I hit the sleep button, it will display the song in paused mode. I've tried turning it off and holding down the sleep button for 10 seconds or so to turn it on and resetting the Nano. Neither works. Any suggestions?

Update: I found the problem in similar posts. Once I inserted the headphones completely in (no metal showing), the problem was resolved.

  • Itunes won't connect to store, or stream music after 10.5 update

I downloaded and ran the Itunes 10.5 executable to update to the latest version
When I start Itunes I get an error message that Itunes could not connect to the ITunes Store. The network connection timed out.
I ran the diagnostics, and a secure link to the store failed, though the internet connection was verified. When I tried to open the help file, it said that Itunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn't connect to the internet.
Edit: Itunes will no longer play any music streams

I am having a similar problem. I have two alienware laptops. One is brand new and the other is a few years old. The old one has been updated to windows 7 32 and the new iTunes works fine with it. The new one is the 64 bit and iTunes store and safari no longer work on it. When I try to acces the iTunes store it goes into turbo (overclock) mode and after a minute just displays a white page for iTunes store. When I ran diagnostics it says everything is working properly. Safari does the same thing. Turbo and a white page. I have been trying to fix this all day with out any success. I even completely restored the computer to see if that would help. I hope someone can figure this out before I have a melt down

  • Ipod nano after 1 minute automatically in standby

From the replacement pogram I received the Ipod nano 8GB.
When I play music, after about 1 minute it seems to get in a standby modus automatically and stops playing. When I push the button on the top, the screen starts and I have to start the music again.

This is usually an indication that your headphones are not plugged ALL the way in.  Make sure the white part of the headphones is flush with the iPod Nano, meaning no silver from the actual plug can still be seen.  It's a tight fit and requires a bit of extra force to pop the headphone's plug all the way in.

  • Wireless fails after 1 minute

MSI Wind with rtl8187se (name of module and wireless hardware) and using wpa-psk.  New installation of arch.  Wireless works fine for 1-2 minutes then fails (can't get any response pinging google or pointing elinks to google, etc).
    What I'm doing:
    bash-4.0# ifconfig wlan0 up
    bash-4.0# iwconfig wlan0 essid PrivateNetwork
    bash-4.0# wpa_supplicant -B -Dwext -i wlan0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
    bash-4.0# dhcpcd wlan0
    dhcpcd: version 5.0.6 starting
dhcpcd: wlan0: broadcasting for a lease
    dhcpcd: wlan0: offered 192.168.2.2 from 192.168.2.1
    dhcpcd: wlan0: acknowledged 192.168.2.2 from 192.168.2.1
    dhcpcd: wlan0: checking for 192.168.2.2
dhcpcd: wlan0: leased 192.168.2.2 for infinity
    dhcpcd: forking to background
If I pkill dhcpcd and start it again, still no connection.
If I kill dhcpcd, wpa_supplicant, and do "ifconfig wlan0 down", and start over, connection comes back for  1 minute & quits again.
I tried "iwconfig wlan0 rate 11M fixed"  (to lower bit-rate from 54) but "fixed" seems not to work-- bit-rate creeps back up to 54 in 30 seconds.
    And something weird with dhcpcd:
    bash-4.0# dhcpcd -k
    dhcpcd: dhcpcd not running
    bash-4.0# dhcpcd wlan0
dhcpcd: dhcpcd already running on pid 2100 (/var/run/dhcpcd-wlan0.pid)
Please can someone help me understand what's going on?  I've heard of problems with rtl8187se module but apparently its working for some people.

    Just for info:

Thankyou, yes, I'm not even running a script yet, just running ifconfig/iwconfig/wpa_supplicant/dhcpcd on the command line.  I've tried waiting a while before starting dhcpcd.  Doesn't seem to make a difference.

  • My song keeps playing the next one after a minute or so?

So I was playing a bought song (can't remember to forget you " by Shakira and Rihanna. After a minute or so, it skipped to the next song. I thought it was just a mistake at first but then I kept trying to play it after a minute and it would just go to the next song but still have the title for "can't remember to forget you". I tried deleting the song from my iPhone and synced my iPhone 5 but nothing changed. The weirdest part it that it normally plays on my laptop. Help please. And yes I have the latest update 7.1.0

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

  • MacBook OSX 10.5.5 shuts down after 30 minutes of inactivity

If I leave my MacBook unattended, it shuts down after exactly 30 minutes. It asks me if I'm sure I want to Logout. This also happens when I've got iTunes running and listening to music but away from my computer for the 30 minutes. I've tried changing the Sleep options in Energy Saver (System Preferences) but to no avail. Not sure if this was an issue before I downloaded 10.5.5 onto this computer because I've only just begun listening to iTunes through this computer and new speakers and thus been leaving the computer unattended for this length of time. The MacBook is almost 1 year old. I've got it plugged in to power.
I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to prevent this.

Figured it out myself. MacBook wasn't actually shutting down, but rather logging out. Went to System Prefs,; Security; and unchecked logout after _ minutes of inactivity.
