Pausing iTunes Downloads for another time

Is it possible to purchase and que iTunes downloads from the iTunes store for future date?
The reason I ask is simple. There is a sale on Australian Tv shows in the Aussie store for a limited time, but I am close to my monthly download quota with my ISP. (yeah Aussie ISP's suck)
Can I purchase these now and download in February?
Is there a way to prevent the paused downloads from re starting automatically every time I re start iTunes or my iMac?

Pause All on the downloads tab, then sign out of the iTMS?

My sister has quite an old PC which uses Microsoft ME operating system and Works 2000 software. She bought a new iPod and has asked me to download itunes. As she has no broadband this took a significant amount of time, but hasn't worked, with no error messages. Basically, if your client does not have a Mac then don't use iWeb to create the site. iWeb is Mac only and if a client wishes to make alterations, then they need the domain file.
If your client needs to update on a weekly basis, then why not consider using one of the online website creation packages where you can log in from any Mac or PC. This would be simpler and there are lots out there - Microsoft Office Live or Google or something like http://www.wix.com where you can create a site and use a domain name with it.
Look at the alternatives before using iWeb.

What do you mean "invalid support"? What EXACTLY did it say? Did it say you had an unsupported SIM after updating the firmware on your phone?

You can download iTunes for your computer from here : www.apple.com/itunes/download
If you want to update your iPhone to iOS 5.1.1 (you can only update to that version as that is only version that is 'signed' by Apple), then if you are on iOS 5+ already on your phone then you can update directly on the iPhone via Settings > General > Software Update.
If you are on iOS 4 (or you can do it this way if you are on iOS 5) then you will need to update via your computer's iTunes (you will need the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer).

What would the process be if I wanted to save the FCP templates (sequences)to a dvd/other so that I could use the templates for another time down the road and get rid of media that I used for my project?

Just save the project file. Or prep a project file as a template and save that. Save that to a CD (or flash media reader...the files sizes are pretty small).

Did you setup/activate the iPod? You have to do that via wifi (for newer ones) or conneft to iTunes and restore

They have pour internet so is there any way i can get a cd or can i pre download it on my account then transver it over to there apple account?
Eg i know i could copy the Aperture file in applications. Could i copy that onto the client computer? would it work? how would i make go under there itunes account.

Unfortunatley, apps cannot be transferred from one account (Apple ID) to another.
Even if the event you could do this, they could not udpate the software using their own Apple ID and some updates are large in file size and may be an issue where there is a slow internet connection.

How to merge existing itunes library with another time machine volume?

i am 2 macs, an iMac and a MacBook - both running Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and both running itunes 9.
is possible to merge the itunes library on the MacBook onto the iMac via my MacBook's Time Machine volume? i do not have my MacBook with me at this moment cos' i have sent it for diagnostic and repair. i have the latest itunes library backups on my MacBook's Time Machine.

i have never attempted such an operation, so no step-by-step guide !
you will be able to restore the other Mac's library to the iMac. go here and follow the instructions: http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/17.html. restore whatever you need to a temporary location, i.e. the desktop.
if you only want the media files, just restore the iTunes music folder. when restored, use +add to library+ from the file menu or just drag the folder you restored to the +automatically add to iTunes+ folder inside the iTunes folder.
if you also want playlists, playcounts, and ratings, you should restore the entire iTunes folder.
take a look @ PowerTunes. this app should enable you to merge the two libraries.

During Itunes download for windows 7 64bit, error message says "Service Apple Mobile device" failed to start

During Itunes installation on my Windows 7 64 bit computer.. I get the following message which won't allow installation:
Service "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
This occurred after an itunes update to my computer that produced a corrupted msvcr80.dll file. So I deleted Itunes and reinstalled.

Redo the install, following the below procedure. However, when you re-install Itunes, right click and run the install as administrator. For Win 7, I think you have to hold down the shift key when you right click and then "run as administrator" will be an option.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
