  • HP Pavilion touch screen sleekbook 14 - Help touch screen stopped working

Hii have hp laptop - Pavilion touchsmart sleekbook 14 b150se - the device have a touch screen - it worked for about 6 months - then it stopped suddenly working after upgrading to windows 8.1 x64 (i.e. it worked in both windows 8 and 8.1 )then it stopped for no reasonwhile i was searching for drivers in hp site - i found an intersting driver was for windows 8 ( not 8.1) -which worked perfectly in windows 8.1 !!  AUO Touchscreen Firmware as in descriptionThis package provides the AUO Touchscreen Firmware Update for supported notebook models running a supported operating system. Link:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-122590-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4132&product=5395092&sw_lang= well when i installed this driver - it told me to don't touch screen and remove protective film - then it did a erase to existing firmware - then flashing a new one - i mean it's not a normal update for windows it do something in the touch firmware not in device manger after about 2 months - suddenly i wasn't able to move the screeen - it was moveing toward the upper left corner and the touch icon that appear when i touch the screen was there too without touching the screen !!
i did standby worked again for 2 min and then did the same upper left corner icon again - it did that a lot untill i did hard shutdown ( pressed power button for 5 sec cause the device stucked ) then the touch is dead i try to install the same firmware again - but it just open and close too fast - i got the files from the temp folder and when i see log it tell that when it check the firmware version it find it the same as installed so it skip installition
also when i go to system info - it tell me ( Full Windows Touch Support With 10 Touch points )i also see the driver under Human interface devices in device manger - when i disable it the Full wndows touch support  line i system info dissapear so i know that it's driver and the device is connected also when i calibrate screen and touch it nothing occur i hope if someone help mesorry for detailed and long info but to get full info about the prob

Hi Slimon, I got the same issue as your prob that after the AUO firmware installed, then I ran over the internet to look for a solution. I tried tons of them but finally your way helps. Thank you! If the touchscreen of your laptop has been not working yet, you'd better try to erase the current one in the system, then re-install the firmware one more time. However, sorry I dont know how to erase it. You can probably create a new topic to post your question on this hp support forum and wish an upcoming answer helps. Good luck! Ray

    Hi,
You need to buy a 32Gb thumb stick. Yo need around 24Gb but I don't think you can buy 24Gb stick on the market today. 2Gb is too small.

  • Where are the Touch Screen Drivers for HP Pavilion TouchSmart Notebook PC

I have a HP Pavilion 15-n210dx TouchSmart Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

Thank you for your quick response.
None of the offerred solutions work, please see screen captures.
First Screen Capture: Computer does not recognize that a TouchScreen is an active device. [This indicates a driver is damaged and/or missing]
Second Screen Capture: There are no Tablet PC Settings available. [This confirms that the driver is missing]
HP needs to upload TouchScreen Drivers to its' support downloads immediately.

  • Turn on Touch Screen Pavilion 23

I have a Pavilion 23-B219c.    Have only had it about 2 weeks.   I think, when I first set it up, there was a question about INPUT, and i selected "mouse".   But now the touch screen doesn't work.   How can i turn on the touch screen capabilities?  Thx.

    Hi RobKes/
Select models of this computer offers Touchscreen. Your manual  click here.
If you are not sure if this is a Touchscreen model or not. you can check in the Control Panel. Press the Windows key +C to open charms, type in control panel. Open the control panel. Select system and security and open. Select system  and open. This screen should tell you if it is a Touchscreen or not. If this is not listed as a touchscreen and you wanted that option, you may want to consider returning this model and getting one with that option.  If this is a touchscreen model and you are still not seeing the Pen and Touch settings. you can either return to Best Buy as you suggested or as it is only about 3 weeks old it would be in warranty and you could call HP support.  Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. • HP Pavilion 15-p042ax Notebook PC - touch screen

HP Pavilion 15-p042ax Notebook PC - can the HD  screen be touch screen active?

    Hi,
I can't find its specs from the following link:
         http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=au&dlc=en&lc=en&product=7393295
but normally the Envy 15 has touchscreen not for the Pavilion 15 series. Before buying a machine, you need to do a research, from Pavilion to Envy with TS may only cost you a bit more. Updrading it now may cost you up to 4 times that amount.
    Regards.

    Hello theow,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand the touch screen on your notebook is not detected after updating to Windows 8.1.
This would be the best place to start: Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues in Windows 8. This is a great document that covers touchscreen issues from start to finish. Do not be alarmed that it states the document pertains to TouchSmart PC's, as the steps are the same.
It would also help to know which product you are using so I can give you more detailed information, such as driver downloads.

  • Connecting a touch screen monitor to Pavilion 17 e-137cl

I'd like to use touch screen capability on when I have an exterior monitor connected with that capability (Acer T232HL).   It has Windows 8.1 updated but I cannot find a way to initiate pen and touch to the exterior monitor.  Is this possible?
    This question was solved.

Connect the usb cable that the display came with between the port in the back of the display and your notebook.
After you do that, Windows should recognize the device and install the appropriate drivers on its own.
